Simple stuff, really. Musing uncharacteristically challenged. BLog
My favorite thing about the PDG is that I get to be a squatter in the Student Lounge, otherwise known as Charlotte’s Lounge. I didn’t really have much choice because there is this Dragon that captured me and makes me do her bidding, you know. I really don’t have to even keep the place clean except to occasionally delete some links that get shut down. I certainly enjoy being surprised by others who come in and move things around and even update things. Not just any Paper Doll Gang member can make changes there, I believe they have to be a level 13 or above, meaning they have to be at least a Junior Leader in the group. The newbies who go through the Lounge are all important, though most only ever post once there and never again. That is okay too. We all have our lives to live. It is like I am sitting on the front porch waving hello to every passerby. Most times, I get a friendly hello and almost never a goodbye. Occasionally, I will run a contest for Charlotte and a few of the passersby’s will stop in for a bit and play a short game. I try not to get into anything too elaborate. People do get upset when the rules are too complicated. I don’t want upset people!

So I do require gp’s upon occasion, but not too often. Charlotte likes the shiny things becoming one with her scales. There is a special ritual that I am willing to share with you that allows me to get gp’s from the group leader. Here it is:
Nope, I take it back. the ritual is too precious to share.

So, this about covers my most favorite thing about the PDG; I like greeting people and watching them go on to more fame. Yep, there it is!

Okay, the Holidays are behind me now and I think I can breathe once again. I just hope I can work off some of the pounds I have put on! I already am trying to get back to eating less rather than munching all the time. Holidays are stressful! I did manage to get all the main trophies on minecraft except for one: throw diamonds to a friend. I don't have any friends! How said is that? Munch, munch, munch. Tastes like fingernails...

Family trip this weekend and it was fun to visit. My brother took me to an Imax theater for the first time and I saw Dracula on the big screen. Wow, what a vivid picture! It felt as if I was going to fall into the other realm! I was dizzy at first and thought I was going to have to leave but I settled down and was able to enjoy the movie. Yay!

Did I mention my Mother-In-Law and Mother were under the same roof for the weekend? Yep. And it was fun. How sick is that?

Who remembers buying shoe laces? I remember getting new laces for my shoes as a kid but now the shoes get thrown out because they are worn out before the laces need replacing. Has the quality deteriorated so much or am I harder on the shoes? I don't have the answers.

My birthday was yesterday and my wife and I went and saw Maze Runner. It was a good movie. I would definitely see the sequel! Then, we went out to eat at a restaurant nearly an hour from home in another direction. The boys spent the night camping with grandma so it was a good night.

Today, I spent a bit of time cleaning out my plow truck and getting it going again. It still has problems but I hope they are fewer. Someday, I am going to fix the brakes on the thing so I have brakes again. Not this year, though. Budget is too tight for such a thing.

The words seem far from my grasp now. I reach, but I touch nothing. I peer, but I see nothing. Inwardly, I know the words are there and yet untouchable. If a word bomb dropped upon my words, it would make no difference that they should become scrambled words: they are unreachable anyway. I wonder if I could imagine a friend to grasp the ungraspable? Friends are hard to come by and sometimes harder to get rid of. This I have heard but I can't remember where or when.

Who, what, when, where, why, and woH. That would be How, but backward. Had to be success, uhm, 6-s, that is except using 'w' instead of 's'. Hmm. Humor is lost on a dry audience, I think.

I think that planes should be dropping paper Mache instead of bombs. War would certainly be more colorful then! Oh, since I am on a roll now and not making anybody mad at all, (I hope not) well, how about giving everyone PlayStations and x-box's and have people do battle that way in an effort to solve their problems. Food and shelter comes with the games. Once we have high-tech consumers we will have a whole bunch more people to communicate with and WRITE for/to. How awesome might that be? How to pay for it? ASK for a world tax and payments in will be voluntary. Now I am dreaming no matter that the solution may be possible.

Smile and dream happy thoughts.

My two boys are off to a good start for the school year. My wife now has a bit more patience for me now that the boys aren't home driving her crazy all day. I even get a half-hour after work alone time, just us, talking with no one to interrupt! Impressive.

Talked to a fellow today who doubted there was any money to be made selling books. He figures only big name authors can make any money at it. I would hate to think he might be write. Uhm, right? Little minds, little minds. I think that when you don't have the luck, then one must want it and keep wanting. Sounds good!

So I spent the weekend celebrating my anniversary by going out to eat and then seeing a movie- without the kids. It was amazing how much they are missed no matter how annoying they can be at the same time. Well, the anniversary celebration was just Saturday. The rest of the time I was visiting my relatives and helping to put in a new 100 amp service box.

It was funny when I went out to eat with my family at a Chinese restaurant, I received a fortune cooking with no fortune! Maybe they knew that I really didn't like Chinese food? I really don't.

Oh, the movie I took my wife to was "Lucy" and it was pretty good! More my style of movie rather than hers, but she enjoyed it nevertheless. We had a good time, all of us, including my two boys. The wife got to do her shopping in the big city at Hobby Lobby, and even better, JoAnn Fabric! Her spending money should concern me but My happiness, uhm, I mean, Her happiness is most important, especially if I am to survive my anniversary!

So I sit at my son's Doctor's office for an hour and a half, waiting for a signature on a paper so my boy can ride the bus and I get nothing. I waited as long as I could. I was told I just had to pick it up but I end up waiting anyway. I get home and the wife calls in and there was some mis-understanding because it was ready to pick up. Grrrrrrr.

Course, I did get to see some interesting people. One lady was rocking her baby in a car seat. Back and forth, back and forth. She quieted the baby and though he was asleep and dared try to stop the rocking and set the seat down. "WAAAAAAAAAAA" and Her, "Awwwwhhhhh" and she began the rocking again. Another talkative teenage girl, yapping away to some fellow, claimed to be waiting to make sure her shots didn't kill her in the next half hour.

I didn't say a word to anyone and no one said a word to me. What? The famous Jimminy, shy? Yep, sort-of. I like people, but from a distance. They scare me some, I admit.
