Welcome... Prompt: "Vacation: Write about a vacation you took."

I remember being a child and going camping at a lake in Ohio. It was an Ohio state park that my father liked and we would vacation there every summer. It had two or three huge lakes that they kept stocked with fish. I did a little fishing but what I enjoyed most was taking the tour of the nearby strip mining operations and looking at the world's biggest cranes and the world's biggest trucks. Some of the dump trucks were so huge that a Cadillac could easily sit inside the wheel rims! These trucks were massive. I have forgotten the name of the crane or shovel they used but it could remove thousands of tons of soil or coal all in one scoop. It was so big a semi-truck parked next to it looked like a toy. Even though I had taken the tour many times before, I never failed to go see the operation.

What do you think?"

Freedom of choice resonates with James T. Kirk. Kirk gave a lot of emphasis to respect of life and personal freedom while at the same time drawing strong boundaries and letting others know not to cross those boundaries. Kirk developed as the series "Star Trek" grew into a phenomenal success for writer and producer Gene Roddenberry. While no proof exists of life beyond the atmosphere of earth there exists no proof of the non-existence of that life either. The non-existence of other intelligent life remains certain based on Biblical fact. If God did create other intelligent life the word of God does not mention this life. In the event God did create such life this author feels certain that God would give that intelligence the ability to choose between right and wrong. In a sense: freedom.

There is no agreement with the outcome, but the results for Marvin Schrebe are "Only the Good Die Young" by Billy Joel. It is somewhat applicable, although anybody who knows of Schrebe can probably agree that he is going to live forever. He just would not agree.
