An image for the forum Happy Adore♥ just made a 100K donation to Space Blog bank. I thought we could honor this donation by raiding the author's port and coming up with a prompt item. The port has some awesome C-notes. Buy one and tell us about it.

#1227783 by Happy Adore♥

I love C-Notes. They are a great way to just drop and individual an encouraging word and a little cheer. I stopped by this port yesterday and sent a friend a C-note. I hope all of our crew stops in today and buys some notes. I may go and send a few more myself.

This image made by Sharmelle's Expressions. Prompt: "What prayers have you seen answered recently?"

I think it is very important to give credit where credit is due, especially when it pertains to the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore I like to ask about prayer requests and answered prayers. I keep a prayer journal as part of my spiritual disciplines. I'll go back over it from time to time to see what prayers have been answered. I had four main prayers that I had been praying. One was for my friend Tim who fell on the job and severely shattered the bones in his leg. He is healing well and is able to put light weight on the leg now. So one prayer was answered.

I had a friend who was hospitalized with what they thought was a stroke. He was not expected to make it. I prayed for him. God intervened and it was not a stroke. He had fallen and hit his head causing a seizure. He is home and doing well now.

I prayed for a friend who was being lied to and used. The Lord intervened in that situation and it is working out amicably for all involved.

Finally, a friend of mine prayed for school finances for me. Two days later I received a $2500.00 academic honors scholarship from my school.

God is in the miracle-working business. Of course, no miracle is a miracle to God. They're just everyday occurrences to Him. He has all power and to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. He does what He wills when He wills. I love watching Him work because it teaches me to trust Him. Thank you Father for the miracles in my life. Thank you for healing my friends, relationships, and the financial blessings. In Jesus's name. Amen.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs Prompt: Let this quote inspire your blog entry today: "There are other worlds than these." ~ Stephen King

I know there are other planets but I doubt there is other intelligent life. That may be arrogant but I blieve God would have told us if there were. As far as other worlds, I would probably agree. Heaven is a world of its own and I know it exists. So in that respect I agree.

Blog City image small "Prompt “Anger points powerfully to the denial of rights, but the exercise of rights can’t live and thrive on anger. It lives and thrives on the dogged pursuit of justice.” Ursula K. Le Guin

What do you think about anger or about the expression of it?"

I think anger is a very natural emotion. It is also a secondary emotion. It is usually the second emotion we feel after feeling fear. Anger is usually the response we have to fear. When I get angry I stop and ask myself exactly what it is that I am afraid of or threatened by in a situation. If it is a reasonable threat I respond appropriately. I try to never get too angry. I have a head injury and a resulting condition that magnifies emotions. So I try not to be overly emotional.

Read the above item.

Fluttering wings coalescing tints amid the cerulean heavens of home. Write about this line in your Blog entry today.

There are two things I have found to be constant in God's universe. They are God himself and change. Change is constant and it's everywhere. Some changes are for the better and some are for the worse. Regardless, we are going to change. I change a little every day and I've watched my friend innerlight change over the past years. Change is constant.

Created by Sharmelle's Expressions Paul tells us "Brothers and sisters, join in imitating me, and observe those who live according to the example you have in us," Philippians 3:17.

Do you think it is okay to have spiritual mentors? Why or why not?

Yes, I believe it is fine to have spiritual mentors. Not only do I believe it is fine but I recommend it. I have had spiritual mentors over the years and I grew tremendously as a result. I don't have a mentor right now because there is nobody around that I want to imitate. However, my eyes are open and I look forward to the right one coming along.

Image for a blog forum Paul wrote "More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things and I count them rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ, and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the Law, but one that comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness that comes from God based on faith", Philippians 3:8-9.

What is the difference in these two types of righteousness?

The difference is that the righteousness that comes by faith is not based on human actions or behaviors. It is based on God's declaration that we are righteous and forgiven. The righteousness based on the law is based on what I do. I am righteous under the law if I keep the law, which is impossible for people to do. James says that if we violate one part of the Law we have broken the whole law because the Law is like a piece of glass. If you break one part, it's all broken. The righteousness that comes by faith is not earned. It is bestowed by grace and is a legal ruling from God declaring us "not guilty".

The world's a bright and kindly place when our autumn friend returns. Write about this line in your Blog entry today.

I don't mind autumn. It's winter that I don't like. I don't mind the cold too badly because I have plenty of insulation to keep me warm. What I don't like is the trees. I don't like the leafless trees. I never did think there was anything as ugly as a tree with no leaves. I always look forward to spring when things start turning green again. I think in Heaven we will have leaves all the time and the temperatures will be tolerable. I look forward to it.

Blog City image small Prompt: “Sometimes I feel like if you just watch things, just sit still and let the world exist in front of you - sometimes I swear that just for a second time freezes and the world pauses in its tilt. Just for a second. And if you somehow found a way to live in that second, then you would live forever.” ― Lauren Oliver

Do you agree or disagree with Lauren?"

I do not agree with her. I have found a way to live forever and the way she describes is not it. Eternal life is found in Jesus Christ. If anybody wants to live forever, believe in Him, repent of sin and you will live forever.

With a melody of remembrance, mutating the rainy clouds tomorrow. Use this in your Blog entry today.

The only rain in my life right now is that I have to make a five to eight-minute PowerPoint presentation here in a few weeks and I know very little about Power Point. I guess I have a few weeks to figure it out don't I? The presentation doesn't worry me. What worries me is that I stammer when I talk. I have a slight speech impediment and I'm very self-conscious of it. I told the professor that. He gave me the option of doing the presentation as a script instead, but that option sounds risky because he grades them harder. I don't want low grades. I am an honors student and the professors naturally make it tougher on me anyway. I don't need strikes going in unless I'm bowling. The presentation will be fine though. Public speaking doesn't bother me as badly now. I no longer get stage fright. I don't have to be on camera. just the Power Point has to be presented.

This image made by Sharmelle's Expressions. Prompt: "What examples have you seen in life where God watched over the righteous and the way of the wicked led to destruction?"

I have seen a lot of times when the way of righteousness led to success and the way of wickedness led to failure. I see people who brush off sin all the time or make excuses for it and they are miserable. All they want to do is complain and every little thing upsets them. Isaiah spoke of them when he said that such people would be scared by the sound of a leaf rattling. Then you have the righteous who the psalmist compared to trees planted by rivers of water. The righteous do not rattle no matter what is going on. They have a calm, peaceful assurance about them. I prefer to be righteous.

Before I give you the prompt for the day I want to give you my praise report. The folks in Chapel and I began praying on Saturday that God would bless me financially so that I could continue to go to graduate school. I have been struggling to juggle finances until I get my financial aid. The university contacted me yesterday to let me know that I have been awarded a $2500.00 academic honors scholarship! It has already been applied to my account. The neat thing is that God answered even before I submitted any scholarship applications!

Prompt: How have you seen the sovereignty of God revealed in your life? In other words, what hopeless situation have you been dealing with that God turned from tragedy to triumph?

God triumphs in my life on a daily basis. I watch every day as He opens doors for me and as He makes paths through things that seem insurmountable. I know we are all struggling right now due to the COVID-19 pandemic but again I have seen God turn sour grapes into sweet wine through this. I know He will see us through if we just obey His will and claim the name of His Son Jesus Christ as our own.

Tell us of one of your perfect memories that is now fading with the passage of time. Then stop by and review this item.

I remember being a child. I could not have been more than four. My dad had taken me to a general store and bought me some plastic tools. I remember pretending to build something at the corner of the house we lived in. The moon was a big, orange moon that night. Aside from that I can't remember. I know that memory was always precious to me.

The specimen we found is "Out there, there is a hidden world
most don't take time to see."

Do you agree that most don't take time to enjoy the beauty that is right in front of them? Why?

I think I would agree. Life is often so fast-paced that we zip right by the beauty that s in front of us. Sometimes we simply take things for granted without really noticing them. I have been trying to be intentional about living. I want to notice the little things. I want to appreciate the small stuff. One of my favorite things to watch is DharMann Videos on Facebook and YouTube. They appreciate the little things.

Image #2225669 over display limit. -?- Prompt: "How has God changed over the last two millennia? How have you changed over two decades?"

God hasn't changed at all over the last two millennia. Hebrews 13:8 tells me that when I go to thinking God has changed to think again. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So the change has been in me. The change in me has been good change. I have matured. I have grown from a self-centered addict into a functional human being. I have changed a lot but I still have a long way to go. Sin still plagues me daily. I tell myself I won't commit those sins again and fall right back into the soup. Only God can change some things. But God himself satys the same.

But in our mind? and if we were not weak
Should we be less in deed than in desire?”
Percy Bysshe Shelley
What do you think the poet is asking? And what are your opinions on the subject?"

I think I already covered a similar topic today in Space Blog! Beauty is indeed in the mind. We just have to take time to appreciate the intrinsic beauty. Even a bad situation has intrinsic beauty because we grow from bad situations. I have long said that humans are like plants. We grow best when we're covered with feces and decay.

Johannesburg is the place to go to mix big-city culture, shopping, dining and nightlife with outdoor adventures, up-close wildlife encounters and visits to historical sites. Explore caves and nature reserves, or visit a traditional village by day, then enjoy dinner at a hip cafe or five-star restaurant. And if you're a shopper, bring an extra, empty suitcase. With malls, open-air markets and places that blend the two, you'll find plenty of unique souvenirs.

It must be its inaccessibility that has kept it so unspoiled. Long may it remain that way. Use this line in your Blog entry today.

I hope it stays unspoiled for ages to come. I lived up in a hollow in West Virginia. For years it was nothing but unspoiled country. My family and I did not touch it and left most of it's natural beauty. My grandfather owned it. Then when he died he willed it to my uncles. They did not live there and did not appreciate it the way we did. The sold it to another man who then sold it again. The next owner allowed oil companies to drill there. They tore the land up so badly that I did not know the place! I have never gone back there.

Image #2225669 over display limit. -?- "The prompt for today is taken from the Faith Connections Leader's Guide. It asks "Although written thousands of years ago, why is God's word just as relevant now as it was when it was written?"

God's word is just as relevant today as it was when it was written. It will be relevant for eternity, not just until the end of time. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8. His word never changes and is always applicable. Some of the interpretations may be applied slightly differently but the word never changes.

Read the above item. Religion and science are partners and not enemies. Use this line in your Blog entry today."

I have to agree that Christianity and science are partners. The scientist is trying to read the mind of God. I am a scientist of a sort. I am a theologian. I study God. I am a chaplain. As such I try to stay neutral on doctrinal questions. I deal with people from all different backgrounds and all different faiths. Some people believe one thing and some another.
