They say your brain is split into three parts. For us writers they include: Just Writing
Hi guys! You've just found the Jlog of Jade Amber! Now you might be wondering: "What in the world is a 'Jlog'?" Well, a jlog is a mash of journal and blog. Since they give you an option for a title: Journal/Blog, I decided to mash them together! Hence the name 'Jlog'. So please enjoy a cup of Joe whilst you read and I will try to remember to 'Jlog' every day. While we're at it, enjoy these quotes I found online:

Wake up with determination, go to sleep with satisfaction.

Be happy and smile.

Don't call it a dream, call it a plan.

Life is tough, but so are you. -Stephanie Bennett-Henry

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, which all has the potential to turn someone's life around. -Leo Buscaglia

Well, here's to March and to start it off, we have a prompt about space.

About if we would want to leave this planet and colonize on Mars, or not, what would we do, and why?

If we didn't want to leave Earth, what would we use that money for in the space program, and why?

Or if we did want to colonize on Mars or the Moon or any other planet, why would we want to go there?

Well, as the other bloggers said, it would take lots of money, and we would have to find a way to thrive there, because we can't just bring food from Earth, we would have to find a way to grow food on the planet.

So living on another planet does sound cool, but then again, maybe I'm more of a person that likes the place, but wouldn't want to live there.

But I don't know what I would use the extra money for, other than fixing satellites every few years.

So I'm in the middle of, I don't know.

Maybe I'm more of a person that would rather live on the Enterprise than on a planet, because on a planet, the only place you can go are different places on the planet, on the Enterprise, however, you can visit the other planets, and be able to explore them and not just have to live on the one planet.

We're doing these now, Fivesixer??

Oh very well.

I check to see today's prompt and I get a "Would You Rather".

Anyway.

If I was attacked by a ten foot horse, that would mean being attacked by Goliath in horse form, but if I was attacked by ten one foot horses, that would mean having a small dust pile moving towards me to attack me.

Maybe the ten one foot horses?

Because I wouldn't want to be attacked by a Goliath size horse.

If I can run, then I would try to outrun them, if not then I would use what I had to fight back.

Let me think about that for a minute...

Would I take the chance to have to not pay for anything, but would have to walk everywhere naked, because I don't need clothes??

Hmmm...

If this was before the time Adam and Eve sinned and ate the forbidden fruit, then yeah!

But since this is the 2000s and that was more than 2000 years ago, no.

Why would I want to walk around naked, even if it meant not having to pay for things?

I mean, I would take up the challenge to walk around with only a pair of panties and a bra on, but with only my birthday suit on?

No.

100% no.

I have made my statement, so I will not pester you anymore...

But if you ask me any more questions on that matter, Norb, you will know the answer, so I might as well not write a post for the day...

Though, it's fun to tell why I won't, slightly tell at least.

I would have the trait of a...

Cat, and the ability is to be able to have night vision.

And I would use it to get around places in the dark.

Like if I'm stuck in someplace that makes me think of it as a horror game, I would use my night vision to get out of there.

And if I was fighting in the dark, at some point in the fight, I would lead the people I'm fighting with into the darkest place in the alley, so they'd be at a disadvantage.

But mainly just to see in the dark.

Because I'm not getting into the crime fighting business anytime soon.

Okay I fibbed.

Today was not a typical Saturday.

Anyway.

Everyone loves a Saturday.

For some people it means going to work. *Pthb*

For others, it means a day off, or a typical weekend. *Delight*

Whether it means you have to go to work at your local television station, hair salon or other job or go to the movies with your boyfriend or husband or read and sip on your cup of coffee or tea on a rainy day, that doesn't change the facts that today was no ordinary day and that I had to face obstacles head on.

So the direction we're heading was a normal day, but then the horse veered off the road until we got to a path of an un-normal day.

Metaphors. How I love them.

Anyway, if you read my "Note: Hey y'all! So today we went for a run, a "...", then you already know that this morning, my family and I ran "The Chocolate Run".

If you want the whole story, click the link.

Anyway, we went home after getting a cup of coffee and later dad left for rehearsal and a few minutes after he left, mom left so she could cut someone's hair for their upcoming performance tonight, so I was left home alone.

Mom left me with simple instructions, fold the towels, take a bath and don't get back on the computer.

So I did what she said, I folded and put away the towels and took a bath.

That's when the day became un-normal.

When I got out from the bathroom, I looked to the kitchen for no reason at all, and noticed water everywhere!!

It looked like we had a mini flood in our house, like our house was the Titanic and we were sinking!

Of course like any normal girl or person, I panicked, slightly.

I called mom and told what happened with a panicked tone in my voice and she said she would come as fast as she could.

Afterwards, I started working.

I went to the breaker, tried to turn it off and when that didn't work, it was time for plan B: towel time.

I got a few towels and tried to mop it up, but there was so much water that I had to drag it to the bathtub and stomp and jump out the excess water.

Then I got the idea to ring the excess water into a bucket.

Then I put that into motion, it took a while, but it worked.

Of course a person like me with too many interests would probably have been thinking about other things rather than the things at hand, but then again, that would be something that some unordinary person would do.

Later, mom finally got home and announced that she had called our next door neighbor, Mr. Mike, and that he was on his way.

Until then, we did the best we could to mop up the water.

When he came, he and mom worked on trying to stop the water flow, while I was mopping up the water.

A few minutes later, they stopped the water flow and we were back to normal. Almost.

Mom and I spent the next 30 to 45 minutes using a vacuum to suck up the water and trying the best we could to get the excess water out of the towels, so they could dry faster.

And now we are in the "now".

Mom keeps congratulating me for my feat of helping the family in this crisis and not complaining about, but then again, how can you complain when you get to stomp, jump and spin your heart out, trying to get the excess water out of towels?

Now the next thing on our agenda.

Trying to help my dad's family's spiritual soul as they try to recuperate after my dad's mom passed away yesterday at 2:40 am.

Well, maybe not their spiritual soul, maybe just their soul.

I don't know.

Now hopefully mom will make hotdogs.

That is what would be the best ending for today, being it feeling like summer and all.

It's February where you are?

Funny because where I am, it feels like we're months ahead! *Bigsmile* *Laugh*

Yes and no.

Yes, because I work so I can earn money, so it's like my allowance, but I have to work for it.

And no, because a hair salon (sorry mom) is not my dream job.

She just asked me if I wanted to work for her and I said yes.

The reason why I'm still working for her is the pay, for me at least, is fifteen dollars. *Shock2*

Now how do you like them apples? *Laugh*

My dream job is being a gamer YouTuber or an famous actress.

But if all else fails with the actress job, there's always the stage.

But those has my three talents, at least I think I have three, who knows, I might have more that work as a job like a soccer player.

Though I have heard gamer YouTubers who sing and act and they have teamed up with other gamer YouTubers to create something for their fans.

Plus I've even heard a few YouTubers have made into movies!

But only one has made a movie entirely about their walk to stardom, the other YouTubers who have been in movies have played small roles that

probably don't effect the story, they're characters that are just there to add like there are more people, maybe I should make a long story short and say,

that those YouTubers are extras in those movies.

My Top Ten Picks About... Movies!

Number 10: The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

While I am a sci-fi fan, I watch this with my dad, liking it some, but when watching one of those movies, "The Desolation of Smaug", became frequent, my love for the trilogy grew less and less.

At
Number 9, we have: The Star Trek Original series flicks.

Like I said with the last one, I am a sci-fi fan, so I enjoy watching Star Trek, especially the Next Generation. So when my dad got a boxed set of Star Trek Original Series movies, at the time I wasn't interested, but in due time, my dad showed me the second movie, "The Wrath of Khan". And like most people, I was grossed out in one of the scenes, but I tried my best to hide it.

Number 8: The Narnia movies made by Disney.

I won't go into detail about these, since there isn't much to say about them, really, except I like them better than the BBC versions.

Number 7: Extreme Days.

This movie is hilarious and is about four boys, who have been friends since they were kids, and when they live out their decision about when they graduate from college, they'll go on a... ROAD TRIP!!! The movie mainly revolves around them going on this trip and meeting one of the friend's cousin, who's a girl.

Number 6: Star Wars.

Yeah, I love Star Wars, but when you've watched them 2 or 3 times, for me it got boring, though I do still listen to the music.

Number 5: Star Trek seven: First Contact.

Now this is in the range of Next Generation movies, so of course this is one of my faves, and since I am a Data fan, I like this even more because of that. This is a movie where Data has his emotion chip. SPOILERS AHEAD My favorite bits in the movie is when they are trying to get the Borg off of their ship and Data's emotion chip was on, so he tells the captain: "I am feeling a wave of anxiety." to which the captain replies, rather bluntly I might add: "Data, turn off your emotion chip." It takes Data a few seconds, but he announces: "Emotion chip deactivated, sir." which provokes the captain to reply: "Data, there are some times when I envy you."

Number 4: Music Man.

This classic hits my heart home because I was in it! No, of course I wasn't in the original movie or the 2000 version, I wasn't even born or thought of yet! No, I was in the play at my local theater as an extra. Why I'm so happy about the part is because I was able to do choreography in a few scenes, and I love doing choreography, the problem is for a person like me who likes plays with choreography, the local theater doesn't do enough for my taste. It's been years since Music Man was on the stage. So it's a bummer for me. Hopefully they'll do a Music Man Jr.

Number 3: Home.

Released in the spring of 2015, this is a movie about an alien species who are "experts at running away". In fact, that problem has "run" them to Earth. They start scooping up people and placing them in Australia, er Captain Smek's Happy Humanstown, which leaves the Boov... well, what else is left on Earth. And when they thought they had scooped up all of the humans, they actually missed one, a brown haired and skinned, green eyed teenage girl and her cat.

Number 2: Jurassic Park and Jurassic World.

Now I know what you're thinking, you said that one of the scenes in "The Wrath of Khan" is gross, but you enjoy watching people being eaten by dinosaurs?! Are you mad?! Why yes, yes I am, thank you for noticing.

And for Number 1, drum roll please: Sing. *dub in opera singer*

Yes, I love Sing! If I was older and knew where they were having try outs, I would've tried out! I love to sing, though I'm shy about it. I even dreamed that I walked into my bathroom while mom was bathing, I do that a lot, and I was singing, and when I noticed her in the bathtub, I felt like I was blushing. So if you ever visit or if we meet, I will say no if you ask me to sing. You'll have to catch me when I'm alone if you want to hear me sing. Oops, I just told you confidential information!! RUN FOR MY LIFE!!

Hunger by Michael Grant, a Gone novel.

No, it's not gone as in, it's going to be gone and never come back.

No, that's the name of the first book, "Gone".

This is the second book in the series.

How many in this series?

Mmmmm... Six books. *Shock2*

It shocked me as well.

The story is about a town where one day, the adults disappeared and all that were left were kids under the age of fifteen.

But that's not all.

They don't call this series sci-fi with out the author adding that the kids are developing powers.

Yes, they're becoming superheroes, but it doesn't feel that way to them; well except one, who calls herself "The Breeze".

Of course, everyone has different powers; shooting light from their hands, running really fast, teleporting, telekinesis, super strength, being able to heal, the list keeps going on and on.

But there's a twist.

Not everyone has powers.

In book two, it talks about how there is a group of "normals" who want there to be two different groups: Normals, or Normies, and Freaks, or Moofs, which means Mutant Freaks.

And on top of all that, there are still normies developing powers or finding new powers and there's a weird being, living under ground called gaiaphage or the Darkness that feeds off of radiation.

My thoughts?

It's good, but not as good as Maze Runner, Hunger Games or Divergent.

I am a huge fan of action, adventure and thrillers, and this almost has all of the above, but when it does, it's in chucks.

It's like this.

70% of the time it's all quiet and then you get hit with a bunch of thrill.

20% is quiet, then action, and 10% is just quiet.

So it's mostly quiet and then you get hit with a big dose of thrill or action, but it don't know if I've seen any adventure, unless you call the main foursome with the only girl in the group's little brother, walking around trying to find a gate to outside of the "bubble", adventure.

It's a good book, but from what I've been reading, I can tell why it's not as popular as Hunger Games or Maze Runner.

Once there was a prince,
who sailed on the Moltey Crue,
if you ask, it's a ship,
that's sailing to Timbuktu.

His dreams were to be,
a race car driver,
but for he gets to that bridge,
he plans to be a diver.

"Why a diver before a driver?"
you ask in pure curiosity,
Well I guess the reason for this change,
is because he wants to check the velocity.

When they were almost at Timbuktu,
they made their stop to drop him down,
but before that, they gave him a hat,
and a Spot O' The Times, after which he fell down.

While reading the Spot O' The Times,
there was an ad that popped out to him,
it was about a race car for sale,
he knew just what to do then.

"I will fulfill my dream,
of being a race car driver.
and go up to the captain,
and decline the offer for being a diver."

And so, a few days later,
he had that car and was signed up,
for the Indy 500,
and for newbies, they would go *gulp*!

But not the prince,
no siree bob,
he didn't win, of course,
but he did a fine job.
