My Search

I

Into the mystic realm,
I let my mind take flight,
Over stone strewn highways,
I search the endless night.

I was the Wanderer,
Looking for a goal,
And the Seeker,
Searching for my soul.

I walked the roads of idle fancy,
Paths of material delight,
Stumbling over stones of vain imaginings,
In my search for the light.

A voice deep within me cried:
"Here doesn't lay your goal,
Upon these darkened pathways,
You'll never find your sou."

II

Into the mystic realm,
Again my mind took flight,
Over well traveled highways,
I search the misty twilight.

I was a Seeer,
Seeking an unknown goal,
And a Stranger,
To my own soul.

In this realm of half-light,
I strolled the roads of tradition,
Picking my way carefully,
Through the shadows of superstition.

Still from within came the cry:
"Not in this realm is your goal,
Upon these half-lit pathways,
You'll never find your soul"

III

Into the mystic realm,
Again I took flight,
And walked the paths,
Where God has shed His light.

I walked the hallowed highways,
Trod by the Prophets of old,
Strolled the ancient paths,
Strewn with nuggets of pure gold.

This is the wondrous realm,
Where all paths become one,
This is the glorious land,
Illuminated by God's sun.

Through the Word of God,
I have found my soul,
In the Messenger for this age,
I have found my goal.

What Would I Plege for A Rose
November 16, 2018 at 5:46pm
What Would I Pledge For a Rose? What would I pledge for a rose? A rose in God's garden of love, Sprouts in the rich black soil, Reaching toward the sun, It produces a new bloom each day. What would I pledge for a rose? A rose red as martyrs blood, Spilled on the soil of Iran, Plucked as its peddles were opening, And its scent wafting into the breeze. What would I pledge for a rose? A rose white as fresh fallen snow, That covers lofty peaks; It blooms as the spring sun r... [Read more]

The Glory of God
November 13, 2018 at 7:12pm
The Glory of God: Finding My Companion He came to me, after my evening prayers were said, when my soul reposed on an ocean of tranquility. I saw Him descending out of the firmament: His body robed in clouds, His face veiled by light, His hair floating on currents of air, His deep eyes piercing my soul. He comes to me after my prayers are intoned, when my spirit reposes on a sea of serenity. I hear His voice: the voice crying from the burning bush; the voice of the Night... [Read more]

The Lord's Supper: The Nineteen-Day Feast "Make ye an effort in every meeting that the Lord's Supper may become realized and the heavenly food descend. This heavenly food is knowledge, understanding, faith, assurance, love, affinity, kindness, purity of purpose, attraction of hearts and the union of souls. It was this manner of the Lord's Supper which descended from the heavenly kingdom in the day of Christ. When the meeting is conducted after this manner, then 'Abdu&#... [Read more]
Mathematics

Mathematics "There is geometry in the humming of the strings, There is music in the spacing of the spheres." Pythagores Can you mathematically prove the existence of God? The geometry of strings intones the infinity's symphony. Does mathematically proving that God exists make Him any less unknowable? The spacing of spheres intones the harmony of Divinity. {dropnote:"Poet's Note:"}I wrote this in 151 B.E. The inspiration was the quote. ... [Read more]

Reality and Illusion: A Metaphor
November 10, 2018 at 5:34pm
Reality and Illusion: A Metaphor Reality and illusion entwine; Light and darkness meet; In this material realm We dwell between two extremes. A child is born, From the darkness of the womb, It moves toward the light, But the light it approaches is dim, As if seen through a mist. Through material eyes it sees Illusion and reality each in the other's guise. {dropnote:"Poet's Note:"}I wrote this poem in 141 B.E. ... [Read more]

1 November 28, 1921 A.D. Approximately 1:00 A.M. The Servant of Baha ascended into the Abha Kingdom to dwell in the Garden of Paradise, with his Lord and Father. Variations on the Theme: The Nature of Man
November 9, 2018 at 10:09pm
Variations on the Theme: The Nature of Man Judaism Man stamps coins in his image And they are all alike; God stamps humankind in His image And they are unlike one another. Jewish Saying Human nature isn't necessarily good or evil; each individual has good inclinations and has evil inclinations: Each must be balanced. Humanity has more then a passive roll in its own evolution; evil thought must be channeled into productivity. Eating of the Tree of Good and Evi... [Read more]

To See The Face of God
November 5, 2018 at 10:32pm
To See the Face of God It doesn't matter what you think of a person, if you are willing to look deep into the closed box of their soul, you'll find something about them to like. There is something good in each human being we just have to look for it. We must listen to the haunted cry of the soul that is hidden beneath layers of bubble wrap. To see good qualities in a stronger, in every human being, is to see the face of God. {dropnote:"Poet's Note:&#... [Read more]
