My Search

I

Into the mystic realm,
I let my mind take flight,
Over stone strewn highways,
I search the endless night.

I was the Wanderer,
Looking for a goal,
And the Seeker,
Searching for my soul.

I walked the roads of idle fancy,
Paths of material delight,
Stumbling over stones of vain imaginings,
In my search for the light.

A voice deep within me cried:
"Here doesn't lay your goal,
Upon these darkened pathways,
You'll never find your sou."

II

Into the mystic realm,
Again my mind took flight,
Over well traveled highways,
I search the misty twilight.

I was a Seeer,
Seeking an unknown goal,
And a Stranger,
To my own soul.

In this realm of half-light,
I strolled the roads of tradition,
Picking my way carefully,
Through the shadows of superstition.

Still from within came the cry:
"Not in this realm is your goal,
Upon these half-lit pathways,
You'll never find your soul"

III

Into the mystic realm,
Again I took flight,
And walked the paths,
Where God has shed His light.

I walked the hallowed highways,
Trod by the Prophets of old,
Strolled the ancient paths,
Strewn with nuggets of pure gold.

This is the wondrous realm,
Where all paths become one,
This is the glorious land,
Illuminated by God's sun.

Through the Word of God,
I have found my soul,
In the Messenger for this age,
I have found my goal.

World Repaired One soul at a time the tears of a thousand years were dried; the deep heart wounds sutured with forgiveness-love; and the million plus names of God united in a phrase. Then the Children of the Book, the Children of God, the Chosen Ones, the Saved became guiding lights on the highway of unity. {dropnote:"Poet's Note:"}I wrote this sometime in 156 B.E. ... Silence
January 8, 2022 at 4:00pm
1 Silence Whispers Silence whispers to my soul, unobtrusively its tones recall my mind to my goal, when the scriptures I intone. Silence echoes in my mind, speaks to me in shades of light, about my faith in my kind, about my concept of right. Silence is the secret key, that unlocks the door of self, that reveals the secret me, locked in the prison of self. Whispers echo through my mind, that intone matter's violence, echoes running through my mind, that the sacred ... [Read more]

Progressive Revelation The wall between night and day, is bleached a pale gray: Dawn is a sacred promise. Dawn is a divine promise, that is kept again and again, down through the ages. Each day has new challenges, and different remedies for humanity's ills. The wall between night and day, is stained a pale pink: Dawn is a promise fulfilled! Each day has a new name: a new divine manifestation reflects the same sun. {dropnote:"Poet's Note:"}I don't... [Read more]

Silent Sympathy: To Grace N. Crowell The wind upon a tear soaked face Says nothing as it blows But its touch dries tears of grief With the perfume of rose: Lord, Let me be the wind today Carrying scents of rose. Ode to Someone Else
November 24, 2018 at 3:52pm
Ode to Someone Else As a man lay dying upon a city street, he listens to the echoes of the passing feet, that in rhythmic beats repeat: "Let Someone Else tkce care of you!" "This is a job I cannot do! Let Someone Else take care of you!" The Someone Else's are overlooked, and overworked and overbooked; still the Someone Else's do their best to do the jobs that others detest: the Someone Else's make the time to help mankind. {dropnote:"Poet... Looking for the Light
November 23, 2018 at 9:31pm
Looking for the Light: A Poem of Transformation "Nothing living can look for the light forever, not find it, and not be changed." Bruce McAllistar Light leaves it shadow, recorded on the walls of matter. Recorded where it can be unearthed by those who have been transmuted. Where it can be uncovered by those changed by light's deprivation. Light leaves its shadow to be discovered by the transformed. To be located by those that have lost the desire of gr... [Read more]

Salvation on Interstate 95
November 22, 2018 at 8:07pm
Salvation on Interstate 95 On the highway to salvation, the soul radiantly acquiesces to both limitations of speed and confinement in matter. Confinement in a physical body, or mental machine, generates unreasonable fears. Of course, the left front tire might explode, or the semi-trailer truck in the middle lane might overturn on top of your car: this is only a metaphor for physical existence. Just as the Off ramp is a simile for sex, or some other mundane obsessio... [Read more]
