My Search

I

Into the mystic realm,
I let my mind take flight,
Over stone strewn highways,
I search the endless night.

I was the Wanderer,
Looking for a goal,
And the Seeker,
Searching for my soul.

I walked the roads of idle fancy,
Paths of material delight,
Stumbling over stones of vain imaginings,
In my search for the light.

A voice deep within me cried:
"Here doesn't lay your goal,
Upon these darkened pathways,
You'll never find your sou."

II

Into the mystic realm,
Again my mind took flight,
Over well traveled highways,
I search the misty twilight.

I was a Seeer,
Seeking an unknown goal,
And a Stranger,
To my own soul.

In this realm of half-light,
I strolled the roads of tradition,
Picking my way carefully,
Through the shadows of superstition.

Still from within came the cry:
"Not in this realm is your goal,
Upon these half-lit pathways,
You'll never find your soul"

III

Into the mystic realm,
Again I took flight,
And walked the paths,
Where God has shed His light.

I walked the hallowed highways,
Trod by the Prophets of old,
Strolled the ancient paths,
Strewn with nuggets of pure gold.

This is the wondrous realm,
Where all paths become one,
This is the glorious land,
Illuminated by God's sun.

Through the Word of God,
I have found my soul,
In the Messenger for this age,
I have found my goal.

Our Future: Meditation 1 If all else is lost, our future still remains in tact. Author Unknown If all else is lost, lost to the ravages of hate, lost in the mist of fear, lost because of our infernal quest for material happiness: If all else is lost, our future still remains in tact. Intact love remains; intact faith remains; intact our actions good or bad remain, as we ascend the ladder of life. our future still remains in tact. Meditation 2 The state i... [Read more]

Sisterhood Daughters of the planet Earth, Together we rise or fall, In our labor of creation, For we are sister all. Contributing each in our turn, Together we rise or fall, To the gene or thought pool of humankind, For we are sister all. Through our pain humanity evolves, Together we rise or fall, As we give birth to child or idea, For we are sister all. At a crossroad in history, Together we rise or fall, We watch the four horseman approach, For we are sister ... [Read more]
Ode to Someone Else
November 24, 2018 at 3:52pm
Ode to Someone Else As a man lay dying upon a city street, he listens to the echoes of the passing feet, that in rhythmic beats repeat: "Let Someone Else tkce care of you!" "This is a job I cannot do! Let Someone Else take care of you!" The Someone Else's are overlooked, and overworked and overbooked; still the Someone Else's do their best to do the jobs that others detest: the Someone Else's make the time to help mankind. {dropnote:"Poet...
