Opinion and views on what is and what is not being reported on...
The entries in this Blog are all based in reality, and most topics will come from my current readings in newspapers and books, or what I have heard on daily news shows. I have resisted the urge to do this as long as I possibly can.

My only hope is to shed light and insight. I am alarmed at the number of people I talk to that do not have the time to read anymore. News is fast becomming nothing but an echo of sound bites that bounce off the walls as we get dressed for work. Maybe if you stumble across this blog, you will find the time to read again if for no other reason to try to prove that I am crazy.

Let me assure, I am not crazy, but I am mad as hell.

I just know I can't say what I fear most for fear of making it come true... so I will tell you that I have not owned more than one or two pairs of shoes at a time in the last ten years ... today I bought four NEW Pairs of shoes... and not sensible shoes either - pretty, cinderella shoes, four pairs of pretty shoes. I am estatic, but my husband does not understand. He thinks I am being silly, and He has never seen me act in a manner he considers silly. I don't feel like I am being silly. I have to get on a plane. I have to take off and land twice in one day... so I go out and buy four pairs of shoes - makes perfectly good sense to me. And I just may go buy another pair tomorrow... at this rate it might have been cheaper if he'd have let me drive to Bethleham, PA.

No, the shoes are not for walking... they are for sitting and looking pretty. *Bigsmile*

I shipped my auction items today... costs $48.00 to send stuff to myself at the Hotel I have not arrived at yet... plus the cost of shoes... *Bigsmile*

Now that I have so many new pairs of shoes... it is definitely time for another pedicure...

He may yet wish he'd of let me drive... *Bigsmile*

Too late... I am keeping the shoes!

My son called from Iraq, while his sister and I were sitting in Olive Garden trying to make them regret their offer of all you can eat soup and salad... I never got my soup... The service is horrible, but I was so happy my son called I didn't realize I didn't get my soup til I started to type this entry... gez...

I haven't shopped for maternity clothes in eighteen years, and things sure have changed... No, I am not having another baby, but my daugter is... God bless her.

And for some strange reason she just refuses to buy maternity clothes. I think she is in deep, deep denial, so I decided for my future grandbaby's sake to buy her some maternity pants. Surprise... surprise... the really good thing is the pants were so cheap... the really bad thing is "they" called these pants - maternity pants, but I just think their ugly... but these were all Target had... and wouldn't you know it... my daughter liked them. Four pairs of pants for just under $38.00... you know these pants had to be ugly... but maternity pants have never been really fashionable, have they?

Seems my son is finally admitting he is not happy with his commander... or being in the Army. He was, but a change in leadership is proving the Army can fuck up an anvil...

Seems some General was touring the base where my son is stationed until someone reported a BOMB, and the General hightailed it out of there is his chopper... hmmmmmm... sounds a little cowardice to me... not a very good example to the many lowly soldiers that can't haul ass everytime somebody yells BOMB... then again... maybe somebody knew that was the best way, and the quickest way to get rid of the General... who knows?

I can't remember anymore why I was so fired up to go the the Writing.Com Convention, and it is not because I don't want to go... I am sure it has something to do with my husband making me fly... I really, really hate flying...

I don't care how big the plane is...
I don't care what the statistics about planes accidents are...
I don't care... I HATE FLYING... and the hate and dread of flying is over shadowing any expectations of having a good time I ever imagined I'd have... and I have to fly back! SHIT!

Do you have Parkinson's Disease?

Do you take the drug Mirapex?

Have you developed unexplained compulsive behaviors?

According to the aforemention link, the drug Mirapex is responsible for obsessive gambling, shopping, and sex!

Why do we all have to wait until somebody files suit to hear about such things?

I am alarmed... but, I am also alarmed at what the researches may have stumbled across - a drug that can actually induce human impulses. Think about the ramafications...

Well, it's almost time... and although I am still going to the Convention most of my original plans have changed.

I hate flying. I have always hated flying, but I am flying into Philadelphia, and driving from there to Bethleham... I truely feel like this is killing me. Did I mention I hate flying?

Then why am I flying?

Well, it's my husband. He watched me plan and pay for attending this 2005 Writing.Com Convention, but since about the middle of June he has been hoping that I would change my mind?

W H A T????

Seems like he feels it is too far for me to drive...
Seems like he feels I will be gone far too long...

So just tonight, I purchase plane tickets... I can't carry the stuff I want to bring on the plan. I am not about to try to lug this stuff around in the airport BY MYSELF.

Seems to me he could have come with me... But Nooooooooooo!

So, I am going to get on that damn plane...

I am still thinking I would rather drive...

It's only about 70 miles from Philadelphia to Bethleham... so that is not really a problem. I will have a rental car the whole time... just in case...

Well, the plane tickets are non-refundable so I gotta fly.

Medically the doctor said no flying, but it seems the short hops are going to be okay... damn doctors, wish No meant NO...

I have never flown without valium... but I have never flown alone either... so it's not like I can drug up cause I am not only going to be by myself... I have to immediately drive from the airport to the convention site.

Trust me when I say I am going to be a basket case...

What in the world have I gotten myself into...

Have I mentioned that I have ALWAYS absolutely hated flying?

Our country is at war, and about to start another war(Oh, yes... with Iran), so how are we suppose to celebrate Independance Day, July 4th, 2005.

Obviously, our current politians are not students of history and allowed the current President to lead America into a war with Iraq, FOR WHAT?

Revenge over 9/11?
To spread democracy and liberty in the Middle East?
Oil?

At What Costs? How does America & Americans benefit?

How are any of us better off?

We have somehow allowed our American Government to betray us. Oh, yes we have. Our National Guard is everywhere but here. Our Ready Reserve is also deployed everywhere but here. And the fat cat carpet baggers in Washington wring their hands... and blame each other... Republicans and Democrats alike.

Our Veterans and Soldiers are not receiving the best medical care. Why?

It's insane... absolutely insane.

Oh, but somebody in our American Government keeps raising the servicemembers death benefits for soldiers killed in action... I consider this blood money and a bribe.

The news media is feeding on the shark attacks in Florida, instead of the Wars, political posturing in Washington, the National Debt, recent Supreme Court decisons whereby States can take private citizens homes for the benefit of private developers on the promise of more State tax revenue... and the News Media is wasting my time wondering, pondering, and questioning outloud on various programs just why it is that the general populace seems to have turned against them - duh?

Yet another No Good News Day...

Dear Mr. President,

I listened to your speech the other night, and even though I appreciate your wearing a dark blue suit, and light blue tie - the "like me" colors as I have learned, I am sorry, but I just wasn't impressed.

You Sir, are a Statemsn, but your cheerleading of the continued war in Iraq falls far short, in my humble opinion.

Link to full transcript of Bush's Speech:
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/28/politics/29TEXT-BUSH.html?

May I ask, Mr. President, how are you personally invested in the War in Iraq. Neither you or your wife sir have loved ones serving anywhere in Iraq?

As far as I am concerned, I think your job as President of the United States of America is just what it says it is - President of the United States of America. And as our President, sir, I respectfully ask you to explain to me in detail exactly why are American Miliary in Iraq? Please do not waste my time with wordy explainations concerning how spreading Democracy and Liberty is the ultimate goal, especially when you, sir, have authored, and supported legislation that takes away personal liberities I once enjoyed. You and your supporters certainly appear to me to be the biggest threat to Democracy in this counrty.

It appears to me that you're asking that I forget about the reasons you gave for this war in Iraq. It also appears, sir, you're asking me to ignor everything and anything that you ever said or did before anyone every suspected that you would put America into a war with Iraq.

I am sorry Mr. President, but you're wanting me to forget will not make me forget, and neither does this latest speech provide me with any new information that justifies you for putting my son, and so many others loved ones in harms way.

I ask you again, Mr. President, to explain to me how the war in Iraq is worth it?

Wouldn't it be better if you devoted as much effort to taking care of matters of State right here in America?

In reality, I guess it would be unfair to just pull out of Iraq, but how is staying in Iraq going to benefit everyday, working American citizens?

Just today, in the news there is a tremendous amount of coverage concerning State Department failures to include known criminals on government sponsored Terrorist Watch Lists.

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/29/politics/29passport.html

Please, Mr. President, will you just explain, after nearly three and a half years after the planes hit the Twin Towers on Sept. 11, how to justify why America is not any safer today than it was then?

Why is it taking so long to compile one simple list of names of known criminals, and allow that one simple list to be shared by everyone that has the slightest need to have a copy of the list? Why?

I am sorry Mr. President, but I am not in awe of you as President, so you can just stop the cheerleading propaganda campaign in support of the War in Iraq.

I do agree with you, when you say that American needs strong leadership, but I just don't believe, based on what I have witnessed thus far that you, and most of your admistration has America's best interest at heart.

http://foi.missouri.edu/polinfoprop/bushdisputes.html

Mr. President, would you please explain why you buried the creation of the Sunset Commision in the Federal Budget legislation?

http://www.theocracywatch.org/bush_sunset_rolling_stone_apr21_05.htm

No, Mr. President, I have absolutely no faith in you as President of the United States of America, and there is not a soul to blame for my feelings but yourself.

You, Sir, are a dangerous and misguided man, and it is my fear that history will finally list an American President, you sir, as a most evil despot in the last hundred, or so years.

I am ashame of you, and what you, your family, and those you call your friends have done to America thus far.

Sincerely,
The Critic

Outrage exhaust me!

I am sick of hearing about Tom Cruise and Sciencetology or however it's spelled. If the main stream news and entertainment people would just let it go, it really wouldn't be such a big deal, now would it?

The Alabama Holloway girl story is just sad... I feel so sorry for her family.

And I am not going to say a word about the latest round of Surpreme Court rulings... not a word.

Maybe tomorrow will be better, maybe?

In a word, lack of action or involvement is usually defined as APATHY...

In today's world, there are plenty of people giving an enormous amount of lip service to a vast number of "goings on".

The War on Terror
Mad Cow Disease
Social Security Reform
Political Party Agendas
NAFTA
CAFTA
Tax Reform
Supreme Court Rulings
Patriot Act
Outsourcing
Healthcare Costs
Corporate Influences on Government
Identity Theft

Etc...

In my humble opinion, there is a common thread, and most of the subjects creating much of the OUTRAGE among American citizens have their roots in our Federal, State, and local governments actions, or inactions, whichever the case may be.

Lets look at the list again...

Let me say this, I don't believe Americans are apathetic...

In regards to politicians (includes all Federal, State, and local civil servants):

"Never have so few done so much wrong to so many."

The majority of Americans are exhausted, we are overburdened, we are overtaxed, we are overcharged, and it appears we can't do a damn thing about it. This is not to say we are apathetic... WE just recognize a Democratic government gone FUBAR.

FUBAR - Fucked up beyond all repair.

I'll quilt today... and later I'll work on some clothing, all the while trying to ignor my anger and frustration with the News media, and the American Government.

It is a shame that in America today, the elected men and women who are responsible for running our government are so caught up in "POLITICS" that they forget to do their job, which is represent the people that elected them. Bush has stated that he does not pay attention to Polls, which to me is like saying he does not care what American people think, feel, or believe. Bush says this country needs a strong leader, and I am constantly having to remind myself that a Democracy is not a Dictatorship - somebody needs to point this out to the President and his current administration, but obviously none of people, who make up the current administration give a hoot about what any of everyday, common America's citizens want.

As for the News media - most appear to be ignorant of the fact that America is at War, and not only with other countries. There is a growing disenchantment with the Bush government. The mainstream News media appears to have the shortest attention span on the face of this planet. It is really ashame that Americans can't vote on the News Media - probably only big money advertizers could effect any real change, maybe... and the only thing that interests big money advertizers is making MORE MONEY.

Nancy Grace is a disgrace, but we are all probably better off that she is on television instead of in a court room.

The Situation with Tucker Carlson is just more of the same... and Tucker Carlson wouldn't have a job, if not for his Daddy. Tucker is a moran, so what does that make the people who are responsible for his show?

The above link is to an article about targeting children as young as 3 or 4 years old as potential criminals.

What disturbs me is if authorities there think that this is appropriate, I just know some authorities in the United States will also think that targeting American children as potential criminals is appropriate.

If I was a young parent with school age children, given the conditions of most schools, and the approach that too many State governments are taking in respect to parental authority, I would take my children out of harms way.

It is not impossible to do!

With most parents having to work, regardless if married or single, Home Schooling your children seems impossible - but does Home Schooling have to be an impossible choice?

NO!

Home Schooling is possible for most working parents, if parents work together.

There is no law that prevents a group of parents from hiring a Home School Teacher, or instructor.

For example, I live in a subdivision, why in the world do I have to put my kids on the school bus with a bunch of my neighbors children? Why can't parents who live as neighbors Home School their children in small groups? Either the parents can take turns on any given week day, or bring in a Teacher, and split the cost.

In this day and age, our children seem to be targets of not only criminals, but local and state authorities.

And where do most children experience peer pressure, bullying, and maltreatment? Schools

When authorities approve using Tazzers on young children...

http://www.yourlawyer.com/practice/news.htm?story_id=8868&topic=Taser%20Stun%20G...

When authorities approve of children being handcuffed and shakled...

http://www.tampabaylive.com/stories/2005/04/050422girlarrest.shtml

When authorities cannot protect children because the schools are too crowded...

THEN WHY SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO SCHOOL to be victimized!

Hillary Clinton believes it takes a village to raise a child. I just happen to agree with her.

If you live in an apartment complex, surely parents can get together to get their children Home Schooled.

I personally believe that too many local and state governments are criminalizing children - for profit.

Despite our good intentions, however, conditions have not improved. Our liberal hearts are bleeding, but only 9% of eighth-graders in our nation's capital can read proficiently.

After spending all day yesterday reading and researching to write and entry for the
 Invalid Item
This item number is not valid.
#887021 by Not Available.

... I wonder why in the world I ever thought that I could WRITE?

As for my attempt at the Monster Maker Challenge, I discovered that I have too many REAL MONSTERS that I believe in, and fear exist, to go around trying to make one up. LOL!

I don't know how Writer's ever wrote a word before the Internet. What I mean by that statement is I still marvel at the seemingly endless amount of information available on the Internet when doing research for a story. Before the Internet, the ability to gather information had to be limited by a Writer's financial resources, and the time constraints needed to travel to where the information existed, or was collected. Like yesterday, I lost count of how many University Websites I visited... absolutely incredible.

I believe in interweaving truth in fiction... that is why I enjoyed Dan Brown's book, The Da Vinci Code. In his book there is so much reality blended with his fiction that it almost seems real, very possible, and likely, doesn't it? And isen't this blend of truth and fiction that makes an Internet hoax so believable?

Either way, regardless of rather a story is true, or fiction, making an attempt to bring a storyline to life, in an orderly fashion that makes a story believable - is evidently beyond me! I have a tendency to get bogged down in unnecessary details and subplots... at least that is how it appears to me the next day when I review what I wrote the day before... aaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhh.

I feel like I am all over the place... like a shotgun blast, and I lose track of the central focus of the story, every story... and then my mind implodes like an atomic bomb.

I've tried just writing and sorting it out later...

I've tried using an outline to stay on topic and focus on direction...

Then there is this creepy voice inside my head that taunts me constantly, "What do you think you are doing? Who do you think you are? You know, this really sucks, don't you?"

And when I have discussions and debates with this taunting muse, (yes, outloud, doesn't everybody?) my family thinks I am insane!

What I think I fear most is that my muse and my family are both right in their conclusions - AND THAT REALLY SUCKS!

Designers and other clothing manufacturers call the fashions - capri pants, or crop pants.

In case anyone happens to be clueless, these crop, or capri pants are what I use to know to be referred to as highwater pants. Oh yes they were... and highwater pants were nothing nice. Highwater pants usually meant that you had grown taller faster than your parents were willing to replace your pants, or you were wearing hand-me-downs from someone much shorter than you. Oh, the shame...

There was also a time when pants such as capri's and crop pants were known as Peddle Pushers, not just highwaters, but I think it depended on which side of the tracks a person came from whether these cropped pants were considered highwaters, or Peddle Pushers. I HAVE NEVER LIKED THEM - and to be clear I never will. And even then, women did not wear Peddle Pushers absolutely everywhere.

That little bit of missing yardage (fabric) that makes a regular pair of pants - a pair of crop pants or capri pants is saving the industry a fortune and making them a fortune as well, just as long as YOU, the consumer, continues to pay for such short commings - literally.

Will y'all just please stop it? I don't care how cute you think you look... to me you look ridiculous. And don't try to tell me for the lack of a few inches of fabric you're really that much cooler.

While it is true my age is showing... for once I don't care, my swollen ankles aren't showing, as are way too many of y'alls are laid bare before the world in your capri, or cropped pants. Unfortunately too many women my age have a problem with swollen ankles by the end of the day, not to mention the blue hue of aged skin, or the bulging vericous veins.

No, I am not done... but I am going to stop!

You're Welcome, yes I feel a little better. I have been wanting to say this about capri and crop pants for a very long time.

Ladies, your husband's, boyfriend's, and or lover's are not going to tell you the truth - they want to remain happy!

Your children are not going to tell you anything, they follow your example, so your kids only know what you have taught them, and a lot of it is by example. Shame on you Holly Jahangiri pointed out the flaw in this now striken statement

Stop being a fool for fashion.

Sincerely,
The Critic

Do I really think that my blogging this will make the least bit of difference - NO! But, then again, I do get to say, "I told you so!"

And then again, maybe, just maybe I will rescue one, just one... if I can't save them all.

Y'all I have been laughing for the last five minutes. Honestly... it is all I can do to type this enty in today's blog. I have to admit that I have needed a really good laugh, and how blessed I feel today.

Thank you Writing.Com Support.

Now don't anybody misunderstand... I really have come to appreciate the Content Rating System on Writing.Com. At first, I kinda considered it censorship of a sort... and occassionally slipped, but nothing major... as I don't write highly erotic stuff, don't use a lot of foul language either... I worked very hard to develope my vocabulary over the years (As I have grown older I am losing my ability to remember how to spell... and I can't see good... never mind)

The notice from Writing.Com Support said:

And I must say that I must be famous, or infamous, because I always know when there have been a new round of promotions of Moderators, as my portfolio always seems to be raided...

My portfolio must almost appear Virginal to the Naked eye... and I can say all those words ... I double, and triple checked the rating on this journal... it is +18... can't touch this...

I want to thank all the Newly Promoted Over Zealous Moderators for all the Special Attention bestowed upon me... Thank you...

Stupid is not E-Rated

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Please... Please continue your quest to protect children under the age of 13 from people like me, who use the non-E word Stupid...

Finally, somebody must have recognized themselves!!!!

Priceless!!!

Okay... I have regained my sense of balance. I had to contact Support because the Moderator who changed the content rating from E to +13 because of the non-E word Stupid... somehow, and mistakingly so, locked the Intro rating at "E" ... so I went and requested that the Intro rating be changed to +13.

While reading in the
Content Rating Support  [18+]
The official Writing.Com Content Rating Support forum: questions, rating adjustments, etc.
by Writing.Com Support
I discovered that there is actually a list of non-E rated words.

In addition to the non-E word Stupid, I discovered that Pill is also a non-E word. So, a person that writes about taking antibotics, cannot discuss the form that the antibotics are taken in? Cause I can almost certainly deduce that the word Shot has got to be a non-E word... even if I was writing about a clown being shot out of a cannon... I am going to go ask?

***********

A word to the WISE... just don't mess with, or attempt to stir the pot in the Content Rating Forum... it is serious business. Humor is not easily recognized as humor, nor is it appreciated in the Content Rating Forum, either.

Of course YOU don't have to take my advice... go ahead if you feel you must. Just please be sure to come back and tell me that I was right, as I consider myself the "Queen of I TOLD YOU SO..."

So when did it happen that States and doctors had more "parental" rights than parents - in the event parents disagreed with States and Doctors?

This must not be a poor family, if so, the child probably wouldn't have had a doctor "forcing" radiation treatment.

So, now that the State has taken custody, does the State have to pay the bills since they are the guardians, and the judge has not given the parents a parental rights hearing - all for the protection of the child?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8181542/

I'd love to witness this doctor's bedside manner that instilled so little confidence in his care. Are these parents entitled to a second or third medical opinion before exposing their child to radiation treatment? Doctor's are never wrong, right?

Now it is more than abuse that will cause parents to have their children taken away by the State. If a parent disagrees with a doctor, all that doctor has to do is pick up the phone and call Child Protective Services - after all the rest of us are all just ignorant, poor, work-a-day slugs, right? Our only job, as parents, is to produce the future generation of tax payers that are needed and expected to pay off whatever tax burdens imposed by the upper echelons, right?

I don't know what my decision would be if one of my children had ever been seriously ill with any kind of cancer, but I certainly would have had a doctor I could trust and communicate with or I would have gone to another doctor?

Cancer is scary, but so are the treatments, the suffering, and the costs.

http://kidshealth.org/PageManager.jsp?dn=KidsHealth&lic=1&article_set=31541&cat_...

I have read about the horrors medical doctors have inflicted on people over the years... with the blessings of States and Judges...

Hilter used a campaign of terrorist tactics to control, and force conformity upon communities under his reign... racial biology and eugenics - just Google. Through the persecution of random groups of people Hitler almost ruled the world.

Generally, the States can't take care of the responsibilities they have now, and somehow, and for the life of me I don't know why, parents are being terrorized ... by a these select learned people who are making laws dictating parenting techniques, or else...

And the Federal Government appears to be 100 percent behind this movement...

Ladies, the men and women making these laws are long pass producing children or bearing children... raising children in today's world is way different than when these "old guys" were raising their kids. The men and women enforcing them have a J.O.B. - a state job, and these "social workers are under paid, and over worked", and they probably have a ton of student loans to pay if they're young and just out of college.

As for the doctor, and the hospital... I hope to God they get their ass sued...

The child has cancer. The doctor and the parents disagree over treatment. The doctor calls in Child Protective Services. The solution is to take the child with cancer away from the parents so the doctor can do WHATEVER...

Excuse me, I disagree totally. Yes, I'm even pissed.

What if this was your child? Do you really think it can't happen to you?

Who said?
"The child must be declared the most precious treasure of the people." Adolf Hilter

"As long as government is perceived as working for the benefit of children, the people happily will endure almost any curtailment of liberty." Rabbi Daniel Lapin

77. I am really good at Freecell, but it is only because I have dial-up and I can't just sit here and do nothing...

76. I don't think I am basically lazy, but the people that live with me tell me that I must be a reincarnated Princess or some kind of Royality.

75. I nursed all four of my children, and despite what anybody else says it had nothing to do with be lazy. I read ALL the books, searched out and interviewed nursing mothers, and made a decision based on the information.

74. I was not always fat, just like I have not always been OLD - life is cruel like that...

73. I use to like staying in hotels... but not since I really spent good money on my own bed... good matress, high threat count sheets, and featherbed - can't be beat. LOTS of good pillows... LOTs... when I go to convention I am bringing my own...

72. I am impulsive. I can be ready to take a road trip in a heart beat. I have ALWAYS been impulsive. If you have children it is good to be able to make plans "as you go"... if I was hard set in my ways - my kids would have driven me crazier.

71. I have discovered that the best times I remember with my children are not the same best times my children remember. I find that odd...

70. I have never fainted. I have wanted too. I have prayed to faint... but OH NO. I am all too calm in "the eye of a storm". I end up with a panic attack some time after... and nobody can imagine why...

69. I don't feel "Special", but I know I am lucky... maybe lucky is not the right word. I am a tough old bird, and I got to be a tough old bird, by being a strong, tough, calculating, young bird...

68. I don't do math well, unless there are dollar signs involved, then I am exceptionally good at math... almost crimminally good at math.

67. If I was ever to commit a crime, it would have to be a seriously, major Federal Crime... I hear Federal Prisons are better than State Prisons... hope I never have to find out.

66. I have lived in Cajun Country for well over thirty years, and I know words that I can't begin to spell... and neither can any of the Cajuns that I know that use these words. I know, because I have asked.

LUNCH TIME. To be continued...

I'm sorry folks, but the evidence is mounting, and people that should have been paying attention finally are... Thank God... maybe it is not too late... maybe, except for all the soldier's lives that have been lost...

And if Bush is guilty of lieing, lying, or any kind of a conspiracy to take America to War, then he is also guilty of the Capital Crime of Murder - for putting American troops in harms way... everyone of them that have lost their lives. ABSOLUTELY.

Have y'all heard about that fast track that TEXANS have instituted to the death penalty in Texas... How far is it from the Presidency of the United States of America to the Exercutioner's Death Chamber?

Now, if Bush gets Impeached, does that mean Cheney will be President?

Then can, and would President Cheney then pardon Bush?

Personally, I think hoping to see justice for anything an American President does, or says is an exercise in futility...

100. People still surprise the hell out of me. Sometimes in a good way, but mostly I end up disappointed, and disallusioned...

99. How important my teeth would be... and how expensive trying to keep them would be... the new, artificial, full-mouth implants cost way too much at my age... I don't think I will live long enough to make that kind of investment pay off...

98. Physically hard work breaks a body down... I should have worked smarter, not harder.

97. All those happpy, healthy "You're Having A Baby" books that you get before and during your pregnacy don't tell you what will happen to your mind and body almost immediately AFTER your little bundle of joy arrives... and no book even mentions "Parental Liability" that continues till the critters are 18 - it has got to be a conspiracy!

96. I should have known that smoking is not healthy... I enjoy it way too much.

95. I didn't listen to my parents, why in the world did I ever expect my children to listen to me?

94. Takeing Holly Jahangiri challenges... is, lets just say... definitely challenging.

93. I really enjoyed attending College... should have never graduated... just kept on attending. And I tried to keep on attending that is how I ended up with two college degrees - unfortunately Graduation is an end result of attending.

92. I liked living in the dorm, and I would still be living in the dorm if I had not graduated.

91. Graduate School is not like attending College... all of a sudden everybody got very serious... like College was not serious enough??? Gez...

90. I love to cook, sew, knit, crochet, quilt, and craft. I have been doing these things since I was a child, but I find young people, for the most part, are not encouraged (or forced) to learn... I wonder what they are going to do later in life to occupy their time?

89. I worry. It's just something I do. I can't help it. I worry about almost everything.

88. I like "sayings", even the stupid sayings printed on tee shirts... but I think my all time favorite saying is, "Of all the things I lost, I miss my mind the most."

87. It took me years, but I finally learned to pick my battles... now if I could just learn to ignor challenges!!!

86. Television commericals have never impressed me, and I think advertizers are wasting a ton of money. The only real purpose I see that television commercials serve is for the very necessary bathroom breaks - other than that - surely television commercials serve no other useful purpose, you think?

85. I delibrately chose to be a country mouse... although I like the big city, I didn't think it was a healthy and safe place to raise children. Lately, I've realized there is no place safe to raise children... that's just sad.

84. I like coffee. Not all the fancy coffee... just plain, regular coffee, with non-dairy creamer or cream - don't matter, and sweetner... NatraTaste... Equal is too expensive.

83. I NEVER thought that I would be able to live without Coco Cola... surprise, surprise! Diabeties is horrible, but there are worse things...

82. I don't understand why everybody does not buy their bread from a day old bread store...

81. Depreciatable assets... New Cars are a depreciatable asset... sure NEW CARS are nice, but I wonder, "What would happen if absolutely everybody would NOT buy a new car?" There are so many good used cars... I just don't understand...

80. I am not an organized person. I find that most creative type people are not organized... am I mistaken?

79. I procrastinate. Dosen't everybody?

78. I don't wear make-up everyday. I don't dress up every day either, nor do I make my bed everyday.

That's enough for today... I really have to go finish some other projects...
