Opinion and views on what is and what is not being reported on...
The entries in this Blog are all based in reality, and most topics will come from my current readings in newspapers and books, or what I have heard on daily news shows. I have resisted the urge to do this as long as I possibly can.

My only hope is to shed light and insight. I am alarmed at the number of people I talk to that do not have the time to read anymore. News is fast becomming nothing but an echo of sound bites that bounce off the walls as we get dressed for work. Maybe if you stumble across this blog, you will find the time to read again if for no other reason to try to prove that I am crazy.

Let me assure, I am not crazy, but I am mad as hell.

"In the end, you're measured not by how much you undertake but by what you finally accomplish."

Donald Trump

Who am I to disagree with The Donald?

I didn't vote for Bush in the 2000 election.
I didn't vote for Bush in the 2004 election.

but I do sew! Sewing is not inexpensive, as some would have you believe; it is a skill learned mostly by trial and error. Therefore, since I think before I blow a fuse, give myself a heart attack, or kill someone, I am going to start sewing again.

Do any of you sew? If not, do you knit or crochet? If you don't sew, knit, or crochet, do you Craft at all? Well, the best advice I can offer is to tell you to get busy an sew, knit, crochet, or at least learn to Craft.

Writing is a craft too, but one that offers more pain than gain, for the most part. And lately, I am feeling more and more like there is nothing new to be said about all the injustices that are truely going to alter the course of life on this planet. I fear that the powerful, greedy, self-serving, and/or filty rich are taking us all on a one-way trip, without any hope of returning. Yes, I believe the world is doomed. I am sick to death of critical thinking, being alarmed, and horrified by what is transpiring in America, and around the world in the name of freedom and democracy.

It is not that I don't care; it is that I recognize my limitations.

That said... I need a serger.

My son is in the Army, and is serving in Iraq.

So, with that in mind, everyday I read extensively to try to get some kind of grasp of what is REALLY going on over there.

To my horror, I have discovered something that is far worse than the usual Weapons of Mass Destruction that Bush said was there, but were NOT.

Have any of you heard of genetically altered food? Just Google it.

Do you really think that the companies that are creating these genetically altered foods are doing it pure and simply for the benefit of people? Do you think that companies like Monsanto, and many others are hiring Geneticists to change, and forever alter the genetic make-up of plants out of the goodness of their hearts, or is there something more unbelievably evil in their pursuits to create drought, and pest resistant plants.

First you have to go read the relatively short article at the following link:

http://newdemocracyworld.org/War/Iraqi-farmers.htm

Then you must be prepared to THINK.

I came across the topic, Genetically Modified Food, innocently enough, as I was reading one of my gourmet food magazines. (Not the type of subject I WANT to read in a gourmet magazine - but that is another story.) I often read about food and cooking, as I always thought it was a SAFE respite from my too frequent conspiracy theories about EVERYTHING.

America is not only in the business of Nation building after having invaded Iraq (refer to Pottery Barn rule), it seems that some of the Americans in the current Bush Regime are exactly what Ward Churchill said they were in the essay he wrote shortly after 9/11 - "little Eichmanns". And these "little Eichmanns" own the richest corporations on the face of this planet.

Not all Iraqi people are bad, many are just plain, regular, work-a-day farmers - you know, like the American family farmers, who use to own their farms here in America - before Banks started forclosing on family owned farms, and big Corporations started buying these repossessed family owned farms for a song.

Willie Nelson, and all the Farm Aid Concerts in the world cannot fix this mess folks.

The one thing that I do know is that you can't eat MONEY. So, after all is said and done - and all the worlds food chains are totally poisoned - the filthy rich will have nobody left to do their dirty work.

I just wonder how long humanity has left?

Think about this too, Bush is against Stem Cell research and its applications to heal the sick and dying, but evidently Bush does not care about Mother Earth, and why should he?

Remember - I told you about Dominion Theory?

I walked into one of those combination gas station/expensive junk food stores the other day, and as I was paying for the suddenly very expensive again gasoline I was forced to buy due to an empty gas tank I notice a box of colorful rubberbands on the counter next to the register.

Impulse buyers - BEWARE.

Granted the rubberbands were a little different. They were about a half inch wide, and each rubberband contained a single word that appeared to be molded into the rubber; each word seemed to appear to represent what is generally considered a human quality - not all necessarily good qualities, either.

Some may be wondering what is the harm in this. Well, for $3.99 plus tax, I think the purchase of this colorful rubberband is just beyond rhyme, reason, and sanity - while I admit it is an absolute marketing marvel for the manufacturer and seller - Ask yourself, does anyone really need another useless piece of junk to adorn their bodies? Are we so desperate that we need to purchase a brightly colored rubberband bracelet to publicly define ourselves. The lady behind me was kind enough to add that she had seen the exact same type of rubberband bracelets just down the road at another store for just $0.99. Really?

In my mind, it's a sham at any price.

Then again, if you own absolutely no jewerly - no gold, no silver, and you can well afford the over $2.00 a gallon that is being charged for gasoline, then go ahead - indulge yourself.

If I was up to doing just a little research, I'd be almost be willing to bet that I would descover that the decay factor of this particular manufactured rubber is less than that of gold and silver anyway.

I've heard it said that nothing last forever, but the people that were saying that were saying that before the enviormental effects of disposing of plastics was a major concern in our eco-system.

I am adjusting to life without television. It is just about as bad as I imagine trying to stop smoking, and drinking coffee could ever be.

I'm a News junkie, and life without television almost feels like NO LIFE at all. I can have phone service with any phone company on the face of this planet; I can have cell phone service with a multitude of providers as well, but for some crazy reason if I want Cable Television service I am FORCED to chose from only one provider. Why?

I feel as though my local parish government has stolen my viewing rights, and sold them to the highest bidder - afterall the parish government leases out viewing areas. Unfair!!!

I am not sure about Satellite services for television viewing. I am miserable, but I am not going to give in and subscribe to a Cable service that has no competition. Isn't that a Government created Monopoly? I NEED A LAWYER to file a class action suit.

I am only one household, and I am sure that the Cable company could care less about having lost my business - but I MUST stick to my decision, because it is right and just.

Oh, I miss Stargate and Battleship Galactica.

I am going to Radio Shack and see if an antenna will help. I doubt it, but I have to try.

If I could only start a National revolt against the ever increasing cost of Cable television viewing.

On my list of places I wouldn't care if terrorists attacked:

1. IRS
2. Cable Television Home Offices
3. Office of Children Services - especially the State Agency Office whose employees (college educated & State trained) once had the nerve to tell me "Our Agency is not designed to help people who ask for help."

Yes, I have done this to myself, and I am suffering because of it. Going NUTS HERE.

The only really good thing about not having Cable service is - I am saving consideable money.

God help us all.

A lone deputy, who happened to be a 51 year-old, 5' 2'' grand mother had a loaded gun and was escorting a 33 year-old, 6' 1'' martial arts expert to court. Is anyone surprised that he was able to physically over take her and get her weapon? Where were the two deputies that were suppose to be monitoring the video cameras in the holding cell?

I have been in several different court houses on many different occasions, and honestly, I am not surprised by what happened in Atlanta, I am just surprised that it hasn't happened sooner.

Just like the divide between the rich and the poor is widening in American society, so is the divide between the good and the bad. The man responsible for the three or four murders in Atlanta did not have a violent history, but he had just spent six months in jail awaiting trial. His first trial ended in a mistrial. Could the six months have pushed him over the edge? I believe that it is possible. What responsiblity does a prison system have to the people who are incarcerated? Haven't we have all heard the ugly stories about prison rapes? We have all seen the movies about the food, but then we have Martha at Camp Cupcake.

So, even prison is different for the wealthy. The news media reported that Martha made more money in prison from the rise in the value of her stock while she was in prison than before she went to prison.

I doubt that Martha, and others considered to be in her same "class" experience real, raw, prison life, as do everyday, regular, working class American citizens who are not millionairs, you think?

There is something seriously wrong in America.

Our courts are busy debating the legality of displaying the Ten Commandments. There is an obvious difference in the type of justice a person receives in the Justice system depending on the balance in their checking account or stock portfolio. And as more time goes by, the more everybody disagrees on everything.

The more that we lose sight of Democracy and respect for the individual rights of citizens - the more violence we will see in our society.

I just think it is all a little ironic that the hostage talked to the accused about God, and living, while the media was discussing the application of the death penalty for the crimes, and the courts are removing the Ten Commandments.

It is all just senseless, and it all could have been avoided.

But we're talking about responsibility, and in the United States of America where the President takes no responsibility, and the Secretary of Defense takes no responsibility ... etc... how are we to expect lowly deputies that are suppose to be monitoring cameras in a holding cell to take responsibility?

Oh, but wait, it does all boil down to the money, we're told, aren't we? A couple of trillion dollars will fix Social Security, the President says. So many billion dollars for the War in Iraq, and the War on Terror that the President of the United States of America didn't even bother to include it in the National Budget, but I did hear a lawyer on the news in Atlanta, Georgia talking about law suits being filed over the Atlanta murders... in the end, I guess it really does all boil down to being about the money.

I think the system is broken.

I think it is all just very sad.

Canned News and Government Propaganda

What have I been saying?

Finally, I feel some sense of vindication, but I have to ask myself at what cost

Knowing that something is wrong, and being able to do something about it are two very different things.

People are so gullible.

My son proved to me how gullible people can be during an argument that we recently had about what is written in books. He believes that if he read it in a book then it must be absolute truth. He, and like so many others, takes what he reads as Gospel merely because he thinks books can’t lie. He forgets that people write books. He forgets that some books are written merely for profit, as are most textbooks, and he wants to believe and trust that writers, publishers, and everybody else involved in the making of a book are educated, honest, and above reproach.

Unfortunately, my son's unwavering faith in the printed word is misplaced. My son just refuses to believe that a book can contain false and inaccurate information.

But wait, what about the information peddled by the Bush administration?

In my humble opinion Americans are not only gullible; for the most part Americans are lazy. Yep! As Americans we are being sold the equivalent of the Brooklyn Bridge, and we are paying for it with our tax dollars.

Don’t believe me? Well, then get off your lazy, gullible duff, and click on the link, and read the following article:

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/03/13/politics/13covert.html?incamp=article_popular_...

I know most of what I know because I can read, but even as important as reading is so is my ability to comprehend what it is that I am reading.

I question everything that my government does, as is my constitutional right, and duty.

In every country that I have read about that is ruled by Dictator, the first thing the Dictator does is control the information available to its citizens. If you have read the article at the aforementioned link, then hopefully by now you will finally realize that Democracy in America is in dire jeopardy.

What are you going to do about it?

What do you feel when you realize that the Bush administration is in the business of producing News that is little more than propaganda that is created to sell Americans on the Bush agenda?

God help us all.

I still don't think that Bush is a good President, but I appreciate every word of what Senator John Glenn is credited with saying on Jan. 26th, 2004.

WHAT SENATOR JOHN GLENN SAID:

Things that make you think a little....

1. There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during January. In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of January. That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war torn country of Iraq.

2. When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following:

a. FDR...led us into World War II.

b. Germany never attacked us: Japan did.
From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, and that is an average of 112,500 per year

c.Truman... finished that war and started one in Korea. North Korea never attacked us.
From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,334 per year.

d.John F. Kennedy… started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us.

e. Johnson... turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

f. Clinton ...went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent. Bosnia never attacked us.

He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

g. In the years since terrorists attacked us President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran, and North Korea, without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but it took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51-day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chapaquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida!!!!

Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB! The Military morale is high!

The biased media hopes we are too ignorant to realize the facts.

But Wait, there's more......................

JOHN GLENN (ON THE SENATE FLOOR)
Date: Mon, 26 Jan 2004 11:13

Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they do for a living. This exchange between Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive impromptu
speech, but it's also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the armed services do what they do for a living.

This IS a typical, though sad, example of what some who have never served think of the military.

Senator Metzenbaum (speaking to Senator Glenn): "How can you run for Senate when you've never held a real job?"

Senator Glenn (D-Ohio): "I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the space program. It wasn't my checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was not a nine-to-five job, where I took time off to take the daily cash receipts to the bank."

"I ask you to go with me ... as I went the other day... to a veteran's hospital and look those men - with their mangled bodies - in the eye, and tell THEM they didn't hold a job! You go with me to the Space Program at NASA and go, as I have gone, to the widows and Orphans of Ed White, Gus
Grissom and Roger Chaffee... and you look those kids in the eye and tell them that their DADS didn't hold a job. You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in Arlington National Cemetery, where I have more friends buried than I'd like to remember, and you watch those waving flags.

You stand there, and you think about this nation, and you tell ME that those people didn't have a job? I'll tell you, Howard Metzenbaum; you should be on your knees every day of your life thanking God that there were some men - SOME MEN - who held REAL jobs. And they required a dedication to a purpose - and a love of country and a dedication to duty - that was more important than life itself. And their self-sacrifice is what made this country possible. I HAVE held a job, Howard! What about you?"

For those who don't remember - During W.W.II, Howard Metzenbaum was an attorney representing the Communist Party in the USA. Now he's a United States Senator!

If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you are reading it in English, thank a Veteran.

It might not be a bad idea to keep this circulating....

Ask Bush and his administration about this:

The Social Security surprise:

You worked all your life and spent over 45 years contributing to Social Security. Every dollar you “contributed” was taxed when it was earned.

You’d think that your money coming back from Social Security would be tax-free. Years ago, it was-tax free. After all, you already paid tax on those dollars.

Wrong, O Aged One. Depending on your income, as much as 85% of what Social Security pays you may be subject to income tax. Some people call that double taxation. The government disagrees and says that you are getting your contributions returned tax-free in the 15% not taxed.

I can see the governments position. Now I just have to live to age 168 in order to fully get my own money back.

Personally, I think it's time for a tea party similar to the one held in Boston.

Did you know that 47 countries have re-established their embassies in Iraq?

Did you know that the Iraqi government employs 1.2 million Iraqi people?

Did you know that Iraq's higher educational structure consists of 20 Universities, 46 Institutes or colleges and 4 research centers?

Did you know that 25 Iraq students departed for the United States in January 2004 for the re-established Fulbright program?

Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is operational? They have 5 100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels and a naval infantry regiment.

Did you know that Iraq's Air Force consists of three operation squadrons, 9 reconnaissance and 3 US C-130 transport aircraft which operate day and night, and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and 4 bell jet rangers?

Did you know that Iraq has a counter-terrorist unit and a Commando Battalion?

Did you know that there are 5 Police Academies in Iraq that produce over 3500 new officers each 8 weeks?

Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on in Iraq? They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities.

Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age of 5 have received the first 2 series of polio vaccinations?

Did you know that the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened in June of 2004 and that the Iraqi economy is BOOMING?

Did you know that 2 candidates in the Iraqi presidential election had a recent televised debate recently?

All of these fact are verifiable on the Department of Defense website - and many other independent sources as well.

But I still wonder...

Are the rats planning on abandoning ship, so to speak? Do they know that they have provided a plan for the ultimate collaspe for the American economy so they are spending all of what is left of America's resources to build a new nation in which they can take the spoils of war and set up house. I wonder?

On IMUS IN THE MORNING, I heard them asking about who Condi Rice's designer was? Especially concerned with a particular outfit they said looked a little S&M like with stilleto heels and all. Suggested retail value about $5,000. Then of course there was some discussion about the cost of the President's suits, which all agreed cost at least as much. Duh! Must be a very slow news day... funny how Joan and her daughter haven't bother to critque political figure as of yet... Note to self... e-mail Joan and Melissa - their slipping...

The everyday Iraq citizen can't even as much as stand in line and apply for a job without getting killed.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7043921/

The people of Iraq may look different, talk different, and write backwards, but they all bleed red. It is sad that as the mother of an American soldier in Iraq I feel relief that the violence of car bombers is directed at the everyday Iraq citizen. With the relief I feel is also shame, shame that there is not a way to stop this insanity.

If I was a citizen of Iraq, I would have to ask myself if I would I be brave enough to stand in a crowd along the tattered and battered streets, and apply for a job as a policeman? With what I have seen and heard in the news, the shame of it is - probably not.

Car bombs are an ugly, crude, violent method of killing. When a car bomb explodes, like the one that killed over a hundred people and injured even more on Sunday, it rips and tears massive amounts of flesh, and causes large puddles of blood pool in the streets. The lucky ones die immediately.

Today, I will be sending out an e-mail to many of the mainstream news media groups and telling them that they are doing a hugh disservice to America by not reporting more aggressively, and constantly on the horrors faced by the everyday citizen of Iraq.

If freedom is to be as globally universal as President Bush claims then American citizens need to identify more closely with the people living in Iraq.

A Better Way to Die

This is not just about Terry Schiavo, but about the issues her particular case brings into question. This is what it is about to die of starvation. The body is a biological machine fueled by food, regardless if that food is eaten or administered through a tube. The point is starvation is cruel and unusual.

· For instance, the nurses will put lip balm on Terri because her lips will crack, peel, and bleed from the dehydration.

· They’ll use body lotion because Terri’s skin will begin to break down and show signs of flaking, drying, cracking, or being parched.

· They’ll put a “scopolamine patch” behind her ear to enhance the drying up of saliva and other secretions.

· “Chux pads” will need to be used—and changed quite often because of incontinence of Terri’s bowels and bladder.

· When Terri begins to writhe in pain (multifocal myoclonus) and she becomes agitated from metabolic changes and electrolyte imbalances due to no fluids or nutrition, the attending staff will have to give her 5 to 10 mg of Valium (diazepam)—rectally—every 4 hours.

· If Terri experiences a Grand Mal seizure, they’ll give her 15 mg of Valium immediately, and then as needed thereafter.

· When her body shows signs of an inability to breathe by gasping for air (dyspnea), they will immediately give Terri 2 to 4 mg of morphine every 4 hours.

· And all of this will go on for 7 to 10 days…

It is a horrific death.

The problem is not death in and of itself; it is the legal argument against euthanasia that is at the heart of the problem. Euthanasia is illegal in the United States of America. Mainstream media is reporting that doctors have declared that Terry Schiavo is brain dead. For some unknown reason Terry Schiavo body continues biological functions. She continues to breath unassisted by a ventilator. She continues to have basic facial expressions, and make sounds. This woman, who is being presented as nothing more than a biological unit of flesh, blood, and bone, is being denied the right to live with any dignity, and being denied the right to die without pain, because euthanasia is illegal. Terry Schiavo actually has fewer rights than that of dogs and cats that are taken to the vet and euphemized on a regular basis regardless of the reason.

Terry Schiavo has living parent's that are ready, willing, and able to care for her, but have no legal standing. Huh?

As for Terry’s husband, I have no words to describe what I think about him. My opinion is he should have withdrawn from the situation legally as soon as he starting seeing much less living with another woman that he now has two children with (that’s what I have heard). Obviously, this situation has been going on for quite some time. I suspect the $1.2 million dollar he collected in a malpractice law suit by virtue of Terry's misfortune plays a major part in his quest to let her die. You think? Gezzzz!

I know our government and the law are between a rock and a hard place. Removal of the feeding tube takes on the appearance of NOT being euthanasia, and or murder, but it is. Starving a person to death is horrible. I can picture her parent’s sitting by their daughter's side watching her waste away. I don’t know why they would want to put their themselves through this horrific ordeal, but I suspect if the courts don't stop them; they will. It is wrong.

We worry about the humanity of the death penalty, but somehow the humanity is lost on Terry Schiavo. If Terry Schiavo had been convicted of a capital crime and received the death penalty she would be, and mercifully so, given an injection, and allow to die quickly. There is still some question as to it being painless. Nobody has argued to starve even the most deserving of convicted criminals. Why?

The following web address contains information, as well as a request for a cash donation. I don’t support the cash donation request, but this was buried several pages back in my Google search, and it is where I got the treatment information given for starving Terry to death that I listed in the beginning of this blog.

http://www.operationrescue.org/schiavo/

Dr Death, who is also known as Dr. Jack Kevorkian, is serving a prison term after being found guilty of assisted suicide. This is the flip side of the Terry Schiavo saga. There are people that believe if Terry wins the right to live - they lose. It is just truly sad.

And even sadder is I don’t feel I can believe everything I hear from all the sources. Everybody involved in this case has his or her own agenda.

I remain,
The Disturbed Critic

George W. Bush is the President of the United States of America. That is a fact, but what does that mean? Actually, it means he is a figure head, and while he is busy being the figure head, or point man there are other people behind the scenes that who are not as visible and doing what "they" do on a daily basis. I have given this a lot of thought as late, because I know that hate consumes the one who hates, and I have been consumed with hate for George W. Bush to the point of distraction. Ah Ha! So I have been thinking that maybe it is NOT possible for one mild mannered Clark Kent, meally mouthed man to wreak so much global havoc. Bush must have people helping him, people who are not in the lime light, people who can not claim plausible deniablity. Who are these people?

I think Bush's Vice President is a person of interest that we need to take a long hard look at.

We have heard so much about his former company, Halliburton, and claims that Halliburton has been over-charging the American taxpayers since the beginning of the war in Iraq, but that is pretty much where the media droped the ball, right along with the people working for the government and being paid with tax payer dollars. Why? Is it a Civil Service requirement to be a sloth? Yes, I am being insenisitive and ugly.

Of course, Cheney would not be interested in ever being President, and it has nothing to do with his health or lack of it. Being President is to much of a visible, out in front position. Bush is basically the fall guy, and I feel like I have fallen for it. Damn! They're good.

Main stream media has failed us folks, but I don't really blame them, their like sharks, in the sense that the first smell of blood in the water and the news media goes into a frenze, then "the others" are free to move about undetected.

This whole mess started long before September 11, 2001. I have been diagramming and making charts trying to make sense of everything, and nothing fell into place until I went way back before 9/11.

This is very complicated and it has required a ton of reading and rereading of many political books written strictly for profit and fame. Thank God for public library's and the fact that I can read in Joe Mugg's, or I wouldn't have been able to afford to have developed this theory.

Politics is an ugly financial shell game played at the publics expense for the benefit of the very few. Corporate America is on board of late in a way as never before in the history of America, and it is because morals and ethics have changed as the age and values of people in board rooms of the corporations of America have changed.

Within three generations, the values of the United States of America have been distorted. I am very close to figuring out when, where, and how, but I can tell you that the changes in values started with tampering with the funding and direction in the education system. It was deliberate, and it will take considerable research to get to the who, but there is a paper trail.

I have no idea of the "why" of it. I suspect it actually may have been out of innocence and ingnorance. Whoever caused the corruption of morals and values did not do it with malice and forethought, but what is happening today is the direct result of their Master Plan.

This is not just another conspiracy theory. More later I gotta go...

I applaud Bush's speech writers. And Bush is certainly sounding much better than he did during the Presidential debates. Somebody, maybe his advisors must be making him practice.

The speech that I watched Bush give while on his whirl wind tour to repair relations with European alias and the United Nations on the surface made me proud, he looked and sounded so Presidential.

Good JOB!

But wait...

Should it be all about appearances?

Bush caused America to invade another country based on lies, and who is taking responsiblity for that?

America was paying an Iraq $340,000 a month, for months before the start of the war, for what? Who decided to pay him $340,000? How did "they" arrive at the $340,000 figure? And where is this man now?

Where is the unaccounted for $8,000,000? Who is responsible for that kind of accounting error?

There are more questions... I need to do more research and reorder my questions... I will complete this entry later...

More questions than answers... this is not good.

Sincerely,

The largest group of people to contribute to Social Security are THE BABY BOOMERS.

The American Government took the money out of our pay checks and from our employers.

The birthrate did not keep up.

In as few as three generations, the birth rate has fallen so far that the government can no longer support itself, so yes, there is a crisis. The problem is not actually with Social Security the problem is that the American government betrayed the trust of the American people by misappropriating the funds.

Ask some of the government bean counters to account for the people who lived, worked nearly all their lives and never lived long enough to collect a dime of their Social Security? Where the money?

What about the people who paid into the system for thirty years and collected only a year of benefits, and then died. Where's the money?

The Bush Buget is cutting funds from the poor, the elderly, and every group from every State in the Union.

If you watch the news, you will see companies reporting record fourth quarth earning in the tens of millions.

The numbers don't add up people... I could go into greater detail, and I probably will later, but first I want you to think about what you hear and read in the news about Bush.

Bush is acting like he has been ordained by God to save the world.

Dear Lord,
Please deliver us from Bush.
Sincerely,
Your Servant,

I actually sat an listened to educated news reporters asking out loud why it was news that President Bush admitted to smoking dope on secretly recorded tapes. I continued to listen as one said he never came clean about his drug use before because he did not want to be a bad example to his kids, and another reporter argued that he had turned his life over to the Lord when he was 40 years old, so nothing that happened before he was forty mattered. Another reporter said she thought he had admitted to drug use before now, she was mistaken. Interestingly enough the FBI asks these types of questions on forms before a President takes the oath of office. Has Bush broken the law, again?

There was a brief bashing of the man who recorded the tapes and his profit motive. Ah!!! Like Bush and his administration, who only does what is absolutely best for the people of the United States.

Here is how I see it:

The Christian answer:

The devil will let you rise as far as possible, and the devil can quote the Bible as well as the Pope and in as many languages, and when the rug is pulled out from under you it will be very public and very ugly. Here is a man that has risen to hold the Presidency of the United States of America, and this has the possibility of being the ugliest thing ever seen.

A Soldier's Mother's answer:

My son is risking his life in Iraq, ordered there by a Commander-in-Chief that is now heard on tape admitting to smoking dope. God help us, and bring America's troops home soon as possible.

A Retired Military Officer's Wife's answer:

It is a good thing that my husband is retired now after thirty years of Military service. I know how disgusted he was with Bill Clinton's signature on his retirement papers, now I can tell him it is not so bad... Bush, the dope smoker, could have signed them. Sigh...

A tax payer's answer:

Who Cares if Bush is smoking dope then or now, the way Bush is spending the tax payer's money there won't be any left after four more years. I just hope that America can't meet Bush's retirement pay obligations, now that would be justice... let Bush live off of Social Security.

A Voter's answer:

I am not one of the nearly 59 million STUPID people that voted for Bush.

A News Junkie's answer:

Gez, this is only the second month of his second and last term. Congrats to his speech writer's, and I wonder if the Presidential addmissions secret dope recordings are a plant to distract us from something even bigger. To look at Bush, he looks like a mild mannered Clark Kent, but under those expensive clothes beats the heart of risk taker, a gambler, a dope smoker, a drunk, and the President of the United States of America... my HERO.

The Hateful, Ugly, Unreasonable, UnChristian answer:

And if y'all want to believe Bush when he says he loves Condi like a sister ... I'll wait and worry about the report of incest to come out next.

Laura must be a SAINT, you think?

We are all capable of many modes of thought, true freedom allows us to speak our minds... Bush would not be the first President to do unthinkable things, but he is the very first President to lead America into a pre-emptive invasion of another country. I have been raised to believe that "Might does not make right." Think about this ladies and gentlemen, America's greatest strength is our military might. Carter almost single handedly dismantled our military. JFK and Clinton were both guilty of adultry, and Nixon resigned the Presidency because of Watergate, and Ford pardoned Nixon and the draft dodgers of the Vietnam era, but Bush and his Administration are commiting crimes and not being held accountable, at least while they are still in office. Who will want to be President after four more years of Bush?
