I apologize for the late response. Thank you for sharing this with us. I too do a lot of things my dad did and it brings me closer to him. He loved to build things, work with his hands. He tried to teach me only he did not discover until later in life that I am a 'hand on learner' I learn by doing not by watching.
A collection of stories and pictures is a great idea; I may try that myself. A picture or a song can bring back a flood of memories.
I keep my father's memory alive by continuing what he loved to do best, one project after another.
