Please remember that
Today we were cruising through the galaxy and our sensors picked up the presence of a lightsaber. That means a Jedi was near. We found our Jedi to be Fivesixer and landed on his planet
where I found a slogan that I thought might get some responses. No mudslinging please. Prompt: "No one single person is truly represented by any political party." What do you think? Is a person truly represented by a political party? No. I do not believe any single person is ever served by a political party. I believe they serve their own agenda. I am having a big political debate on Facebook as we speak because my brother does not believe the government can force him to wear a mask. I told him that the government was put in place by God and that governors and leaders are appointed by God (Romans 13:1-4 and 1 Peter 2: 13-15. Of course, he argues ignorantly that God did not appoint our governor or that you do not have to obey the governor if the governor is breaking the law. The governor is trying to keep people healthy, which is love and love is God's first commandment. The governor is breaking no law of God so their argument is a moot point. I do believe the government often serves its own interests. I also believe and have believed for a long time that neither party currently here in the USA has the best interests of the poor at heart. They pass bills that will increase prices ultimately but most of our population is on a fixed income. Prices will go up and their incomes will stay the same. Where is the representation in that? Prompt: “Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.”― Mark Twain What are your thoughts about anger?" I totally agree. I am always telling others that forgiveness will not help the person we are angry with one bit. However, it will prevent us from being saddled down with a ton of anger. Carrying all of that anger is like holding onto a bag of gravel and dragging it wherever we go. We take it to bed. We take it to work. We carry it everywhere. The more anger we have the heavier the bag gets. Eventually the bag becomes a skyscraper and we are yoked to it trying to pull it. The following picture is not the best, but its all I could find. Imagine these straps attached to a skyscraper and the man trying to walk and pull the skyscraper behind! Anger does that to us. It cripples us. When you are angry ask yourself how much the person or situation you are angry with is paying you to be angry? They aren't suffering. You are! "Prompt: What is the most independent thing you have ever done?" I would have to think on that one. I really don't know. I have always been a people person. Independence indicates being totally alone. Maybe going to college online. I do all my classwork alone and learn independently. |
Today we were cruising through Galaxy WDC when a star came up on the screen that appeared to have populated planets around it. The star was Lostwordsmith The captain took an away team to planet. {bitem:2144410) and found "Not all those who wander are lost". What do you think this means? Analyze and report. I think Lostwordsmith is spot on. Many of those who wander off the beaten path is not lost. Some wander because they want to be different. They don't want to be part of the collective whole. They want to blaze their own trails and stomp their own snakes. Then there are those who like lost sheep go astray because they are making foolish mistakes. They will stay out there and wander for a long time but they are under the watchful eye of the shepherd. Then finally there are those who are truly lost. They don't have any idea how to find their way back and need found. "Prompt: “That’s the great secret of creativity. You treat ideas like cats: you make them follow you.” ― Ray Bradbury. What do you think is the secret of creativity?" I have no idea what Bradbury is talking about. I do know that I've had quite a few cats and the last thing I could ever get any of them to do was what I wanted them to do. Cats are independent animals. They are going to follow anybody unless they are tigers or lions hunting you. I disagree with Ray on that one. The secret to creativity is not one I can share. If I share it, it will no longer be secret. "Prompt “Cats are dangerous companions for writers because cat-watching is a near-perfect method of writing avoidance,” says Dan Greenburg." The cat must have somebody's tongue today or the cat is out of the bag for we are cutting around today. I guess Dan must be correct huh? What other excuses like cats make your mind wonder and take you away from your writing? ** Image ID #2222679 Unavailable ** |
Today as we were cruising through the WDC galaxy, we came upon a star shining brightly enough to send solar flares far out into space. The star is Emily We set ourselves in orbit around
and I took a landing party down. We found this: "When it came time for me to start blogging again, I found myself paralyzed. I was trapped by the belief that my blog had to be unique, that it had to have a defined theme, and that it had to be appealing to everyone. After some time scouring Google for advice, I realized that if all I did was worry and plan, I would spend forever worrying and planning and never get to writing." Analyze and report. What do you think? Do you agree or disagree? I agree. I cannot allow myself to get caught up in what other people think about me in any situation. If I allow other people's opinions to dictate my life then I lose a part of myself in the process. My freedom goes out the window. This in no way frees me as a writer from writing stuff I believe my audience wants to read. It does keep me from giving a rat about what others think of me personally. Not everybody has to like what I write. There are some people whose approval I would not care to have. What matters to me is that Jesus is happy and I am happy. Prompt: "July 4th! Here in the US, this is Independence Day. Tell us what independence means to you." Independence to me means being able to worship my God in the way I see fit, without having my beliefs dictated at gunpoint. |
Launches July 10. If you want to receive the blog prompts let me know so I can sign you up. Blog prompt from Princess Megan Rose 22 Years Prompt: "Prompt: Thrive. Grow. Inspire. Uplift. Use these words in your Blog entry today." As a blog forum I hope we thrive. I wake up every morning looking forward to blogging. It and my daily devotion are the two times I get to relax a little before tying into my school work. I hope and pray that we grow as a forum and as a group. I pray that flying through the WDC galaxy and selecting a random author whose port we can raid for a blog prompt will inspire them to write a best seller. I hope we uplift spirits as we fly through space between the stars and have fun blogging each day. "Prompt: An island rose from the sea. What happens next?" Next is me running like a scalded rat! I took oceanography in college and I know that islands rising from the sea are usually a sign of volcanic activity just below the surface. I don't survive well in volcanoes so at the first sign of one I am going to make like Bugs Bunny and SCRAM! On the other hand, the island rising from the sea could be the fabled Atlantis, in which case it could be fun. If so, I'll come back and visit. Prompt: "Socrates believed morality and grammar are related. "Human beings live by the word. The misuse of language induces evil in the soul. Lying is the deliberate misuse of language. But language misused through mere ignorance or carellessnees breeds half-truths and misunderstanding." Do you agree or disagree with this asssessment? Why?" Socrates also thought it a good idea to commit suicide too but I don't necessarily believe in that. In fact, I emphatically do not believe in suicide. There is no coming back from that. I guess maybe I have to agree with Socrates on this one. I agree with a lot of what he said. I just would have taken exile as opposed to suicide. Exile he may someday return from. Suicide is final. However, he is right. Lying is hard on the soul. Image #2118746 over display limit. -?- Image #2187503 over display limit. -?- Image #2187984 over display limit. -?- |

which asks the question: "What makes your heart go thump?" So your prompt for today is to tell us what makes your heart beat faster? Love? Horror movies? Novels? What gives you a thrill?" What always gave me my biggest thrill physically was flying. I always loved that feeling you get when the airplane first leaves the ground. You feel like you left your stomach sitting on the runway. The best feeling is flying in a fighter aircraft. The plane has massive power and you are moving at a tremendous rate of speed before you are even airborne. The pilot can only move his hand because like the passenger or WRO his body is pressed against the seat by the tremendous g-forces. The runway literally falls away behind you as you ride from ground level to angels one zero in a matter of seconds. What a ride and what a thrill! Soon you are inverted as the pilot does barrel rolls through the sky and other basic combat maneuvers. You know they are showing off and also trying to make you sick. You refuse to get sick. The ride goes on. The prompt asks "What makes your heart go thump?" What really makes my heart go thump is Jesus Christ. Without Him, I would have no heart of any kind. In fact, I would not even exist. He wakes me every morning and is the first thought on my mind. He is my last thought at night. Image #1997652 over display limit. -?- "There was a white sports coat draped across your kitchen chair with a pink carnation pinned on the lapel. It's your blog tell us what happens next....let the magic flow my fellow word nerds." I went in the bedroom and punched the guy out for messing with my wife, or I went to my daughter's bedroom and threw the guys out naked for messing with my daughter. No. I am not violent. I honestly wish my wife could cheat on me. She's deceased. If she was cheating on me my response would be one of hurt and anger. I would make the man leave and tell him never to let me see him again unless it is in church. I'd try to win him to the Lord. I'd try to reconcile with my wife, asking her what led to that. We'd talk it out and try to fix it. My daughter would be grounded. The boyfriend I would try to win to the Lord. Image #1971183 over display limit. -?- "Prompt: What was your favorite childhood vacation?" We only had one vacation spot:Sally Buffalo Lake in Cadiz OH. We would camp and often went up and watched the biggest coal removal shovel in the world working the strip mines. The tires on the trucks it dumped into were so tall a Volkswagon would sit inside the rim alone.
