That is so moving and seems as if it could have been my very own dad who you wrote about, he had the same illness and lots more and i would be at the hospital as much as i could to make sure he was comfortable, the early hours of the morning when my dear dad passed away was so hard as i had said i needed to stay with him that evening but had to go home as i had 2 children to check on,,, I always regret not being here even though i was so afraid of death, my dads name was also Ken.
Thanks for writing this it makes me feel that hopefully someone was with my dad as he passed.

Oh that is so sad and i can somehow relate to the feelings af being alone and self harming. There are people out there willing to help when you feel you can trust and let someone in. It is great that you have wrote about the feelings.
