Why don't you list all of your prices with the gift point equivalent for the mathmaticaly challenged like myself. It would make it much easier if i did not have to convert the gift points into their monatary value to know if I wanted to use them to buy something.

Wonderful! It makes me think of the preacher we have on the street corner of downtown Chicago. He is not homeless and is always well dressed but he is out there almost every day warning people that if they don't stop living in sin they will go to hell. People think he is crazy, but there was a nice article written about him, last year I believe. He really believes that is his mission from God and doesn't let hecklers, or the fact that he is mostly ignored deter him. He is "not ashamed of the Gospel." I imagine Paul was something like that, when he wrote those words..

This was fantastic! If we do survive this year, I hope you will try getting it published. It would make a great movie or mini series for TV. I really liked the way you built up the use of the technological advancements. I always wondered how we lost great civilizations and went ino the Dark Ages, but I know that as dependent as we have become on computers now, if they all failed and we lost the knowledge in them, we would soon be back there. We would have to relearn the most basic survival skills. You hint at, but avoid coming out and saying that what is going on could be a plot by the government, or the secret societies that want a worldwide government. You also hint at the idea of it being God's judgment and that brings up the possibility that those who died were actually "raptured." It is a real thought provoker and would a movie or TV series based on it be as well. It is ready to submit to publishers the way it is now, and I hope that you will, if you have not already been. There are magazines that specialize in futuristic sci-fi. Try those first. Good luck and keep me informed about your progress.

This caught my attention and held it all the way through. I will be anxiiously awaiting the next chapter. You certainly followed the advice to begin with a crisis and you used the dialogue well to move the story forward. I like this boy who can turn into a dog, or the dog that can turn human. It is similar to the Wolfman characters. We have wolfmen, dragons and you mention vampires, so they will be coming up and that is quite an interesting mixture.

"Follow Your Heart
What a beautiful story! You captured the emotions very well and it is true that some small act of kindness can make a big difference to someone who is in need of a bit of love. Sometimes just a smile can make someone feel better. I know if I am feeling depressed and get with some positive, happy people I always feel better.

I love this reminder of the interconnection all of nature has because God made us all out of the same ingredients and we all take into your selves bits of what is around us in some way. It is too bad we don't realize understand and act accordingly. We waste and destroy so many precious resources even when we know better. As the words of popular 60's song said, "When will they ever learn?"

This was a sad poem, but well written. I like the progression from losing to lost. I would suggest moving the second stanza to the first, because you say you can't believe you are losing the loved one but then you come to the realization that it is true. Stanzas three and four could also be reversed for the same reason. Follow the thought pattern.

Review of Double Trouble
Rated: E | (4.5)
The last two lines of the second stanza sounded awkward to me. I know what you meant, but the wording was not as natural as the rest of the poem was and I think you could improve on it. I like your description of the behavior of the pups and am definitely in agreement with you last statement. I grew up with small dogs, then had three cats at one time. When they died I waited for awhile and then got a parakeet because they are a little easier to care for. But it and. Now I have two parakeets so they keep each other company when I am away from home. Since I live alone, I appreciate having their company and I was lonely between pets. I don't understand how people can not have pets and think every child should grow up with at least one. It is a good way to teach them responsibility and compassion. What kind of dogs do you have.

Review of One Day at a Time

I admire you for being able to follow a form and rhyme pattern. I always just go by the words and read them to see how they sound. Usually I rhyme end words on two or alternating lines, but this time I decided not to rhyme and just follow the theme.

I didn't quite get the last two lines, but I did like the rest of it and that was a cute idea to type it in yellow. Congratultions on the promotion.

I am glad the newsletter called attention to your writing. This was so well expressed. I also am discovering how to trust God even though I do not have children or a spouse to try to cling to and have not experienced the sort of suffering you have been going through. I have always had a struggle with why what I was so sure was God's will for me has not come about as I had expected it too. But, the older I get the more I realize that that is not what my life is about and the littlest thing I do may prove to have had the biggest impact on someone else's life and be most pleasing to God. As for fame, or fortune, etc., we will receive them in the next life, but not in material goods, if we have not had them here and then we will have eternity to enjoy them.

What interesting stories you have. I think you could write a very nice memoir. I hope you will try it, if not to be published to at least share your family history with the younger generation. It was interesting how with each time period in your life you became more conformed to the secular celebration of Christmas, unfortunately that also often happens to Christians. With all of the commercialization made of it, it is so easy to forget what it is really about, just like you said you did not know much about your celebration. Did our gift giving come from your tradition?

This was a very nice story with a happy ending. I like the way you connect people from diverse countries and backgrounds around the wolf. And it is true that if we find something we agree about, there is not much difference between us. Human nature is identical no matter where we live, we were all made in God's image.

I read one of your pieces I related to and then read your bio. I relate to that also, so it is no wonder I felt a connection with you right away. I also like this poem and I hope you will read and comment on my works. What kind of book has the Lord been telling you to write?

Review of Retail hades
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
I first went into a retail position in 1998 after being in an office job for 20 years and while I was mostly a fitting room attendant for two off-price clothing stores, 3 years at Syms and 4 at Filene's Basement, I was always observing the attitudes of those who worked on the floor. There were very few who really tried to do the job well and middle management, (which it sounds like you were) were always being shifted from store to store or quitting to try to find other jobs with more cooperative employees, (lot's of luck there). You described it very well. I especially like where you say the company is demanding but has no clue how to run a business. That is what has hurt much of our jobs today, when mega-corporations take over a business they know nothing about and only see profit and loss. At least Filene's Basement was bought by Syms now. They have always been in the same business and know what they are doing.

Review of Morning Routine
Rated: E | (4.0)
I thought this was going to be about the routine of a parent, or adult. It was cute the way you told it from the POV of the boy. I especially like the part where you add "Just wait till he reaches thirty ..." I think at any age we can look back and think we were better off when we were younger, oh, how we long for "the good old days" our parents used to tell us about.

Review of My Kittens

This is a beautiful description of some very pretty kittens. I just lost the last of my three cats last year and I, who had been more of a dog person, have a real soft spot in my heart for cats now and kittens in particular but I am not getting another one. I have a parakeet now.

I saw this as a winner in what i thought was a poetry contest. but I guess only the basic level I entered was for a poem. I like your writing style very much and understood it better than the one they awarded first place to in that group.

This is a lovely poem and tribute to someone who sounds like a beautiful woman and wonderful mother. It is indeed a shame that she was taken from her family so soon. The form you used is not an acrostic, however, did you mistake that name for another poetic form perhaps? Acrostics have the first letter of the first lines also forming a word going down. I like to bolden, highlight and enlarge that letter to make it obvious, but I am not sure professional poets would do their that way.

This was a beautiful poem and I did not notice mistakes in the typing but I think it should be single spaced with the exception of the repeated phrase, Just Because. It would make that stand out better.

This was a very good expression of what poetry is and I like the visual design you made with the lines. It resembles a flower in a pot. As your introduction said I think poetic minds will indeed adore this poem. My favorite part is "Or just wanting the words to touch you deep to your core. A reaction that I feel all poetic minds adore." You could, however, take out the words just and that to make it read better.

The rhyme pattern is a little off, especially in the last two lines, but I think it is a very romantic, and lovely poem. This is a description of what love is meant to be and what we all long to feel.

Review of Love No More

This is a very nice poem. It is so true how love comes on us when we aren't looking for it and someday you, or whoever you were writing for if this was a fictional character speaking may get together with the person again. You, or your character still loves her and she may come to understand that as she matures. Things you used to fight about will not matter anymore and then you will be ready for each other.
