A lot of emotion can be felt from this work.

My impressions of: I am 72 and I Remember!

Does the title describe story? A great title for this story.

My favorite line: Life was hard, but there were love, learning, family, and relationships.

This is only one opinion: A great story and descriptions from a much simpler and different time not so long ago.

You got me by a few years but I can remember well going to the store with .25 cents and get a drink and a candy bar. The pay wasn't much however the cost of living wasn't as inflated as now.

Love riding on the back of a truck. These days I have seen the law require seat belts for children in back of a truck, ain't that crazy.

Families friends and neighbors helping each other was indeed the way of life.

Electricity an indoor plumbing was still being upgraded into the 70s and early 80s.

JFK was president when I was born, killed the same year.

I do remember George Orwell's 1984, would be the end of the world. Predictions said the return of Haley's comet would be the end of the world. Y2K would be the end of the world. The Mayan calendar...

This is a great story well written and very true from a time not long ago.

What style? Outdoor, nature, activity.

My favorite line: --"You've got to try to fit in, or you will be miserable."--

This is only one opinion: A true story about young scout's on a canoe trip down a river.
The descriptions of the trip, events, and characters are all described well by the main character Craig.

Strong characters, I like Craig and can relate to his story. A powerful story that brings back my childhood memories of scouts and tubing down the river. I feel that most people will relate with this story.

Great descriptions of scout picking on each other.

A nice happy ending. I am glad that Craig was happy with his nickname.
Thanks for sharing this great story, it is a joy to read.

If I had to make a suggestion: The title could better describe the story. Consider more action in the opening lines. Great descriptions, with the short attention span of today's readers some could be edited without hurting the story.

My favorite lines: --Even The Naked Guy was there wearing only a strategically placed stop sign.==

-- The signs stopped waving; people craned their necks, straining forward to hear what this recruiting sergeant was going to announce.

This is only one opinion: Thank you this funny tale. I had to laugh at -- “Ah, ah, ah, ah, oooh!" Oooo Rah!" --. A great story to make me laugh and change my mindset.
I liked it when Gus was talking to himself in the mirror. Great descriptions and names for the protesters, there chants got me laughing again.

All a wonderful story, the last line is the best. A great ending.

If I had to make a suggestion: A great story short funny and to the point. If I had to edit anything it would be the second paragraph.

Well written with good descriptions, a lot of dialog and introducing a strong character.
I like the purple stomach hints of the dragon, making the reader want to know more.

If I had to make a suggestion: A great story as is. If a had to make a suggestion I would double space to make it easier on the reader. Consider editing out some of the dialogue and a little more action at the end.
