There is so much hidden inside that makes them special - roses (beautiful, yet fragile}. This was an insightful, wonderful story detailing your journey through divorce and recovery on the other side. I applaud your ability to recognize changes that needed to be made, before they became irrevocable. My journey through divorce was totally different. Instead of giving myself time after my divorce, I jumped right into another relationship out of fear of being alone. This relationship was even worse than the first and my children suffered for it. Through God's grace, I have come out on the other side, but there have been consequences for my behavior with my children. Great writing. You are truly a woman of character and courage, your daughter is lucky to have you for a mother.
