Lovely little poem for your little pet. But you could make it a little more elaborate by explaining his actions and other activities. This one rhymes well, and could use his photograph as well. Do you still have this dog or the children of him?
Well, maybe a lot of teens can relate to your poem, because this is how they usually fell in love. Your poem rhymes well, and has a good rhythm too. you should work a bit on the alingnment and spacing. The last line of the 4th stanza looks a bit odd, you might try to rephrase it.

I'd hate to see men framed in such a state of grief. Though I couldn't really figure out what caused such a sadness though, maybe death of a close one. I like the character of the wife better, despite all the hardships, she's still caring to her husband. Lovely layout, and thanks for using such simple language.
Stories about relationship and family always attract me. I like the way you've shown the bond between the two siblings, but I don't really like the fact that the brother is already on his death bed. This one's a nice story, you've talked about a few characters here, but didn't give clear descriptions of any of them. I like Matt most, he seems helpful and supportive, just the type of person Sam would need at the time. Try and continue the chapters, I'd like to know more of this.

I did enjoy reading this, but it also seemed a little incomplete. You could've added some more details to describe the character's mental state. You could've talked a little more about the actual accident. Why did the husband commit suicide? was he mentally ill?
