First and foremost, I love the story line. It kept me interested to the very end.

she read over his drinking, drug experimentation, self mutilation, and suicide attempts. He had a few steady girlfriends, and it was at these times was when he was the least destructive. (Did you mean and it was at these times when he was ...)?

He had gotten a new new (check your grammar) I think you need to find another word for 'gotten' Perhaps: He became involved with a new girl,
Jaime, around that time etc.

which he had (you could use: that he had uncharacteristically) it might read more smoothly. (sharpened but) Does that get a comma after sharpened?)

"Scott, how many times are we going to go through this," (needs a question mark) and I don't think they would talk about 'shacking up'
Guardian Angels are sent from God and He would not condone such language

I don't think angels say 'god-damn'

to see Kirsten today, it (does this get a semi-colon)?

has tens of kids." (tens or tons)?

Please, these are only my opinions and not carved in stone.

grand mother, I think this is one word, grandmother. The following is only my opinion.

rejection, I believe Jacquie and Angela would have both perished. With our relationship nearly broken, despair had overtook us. (despair had overtaken us.) grand ma (one word) grandma

God sends us 'earthly angels' to help us in our times of trials. God bless your family.

people, painting (should this be one sentence. Now, she stood in front of hundreds of people painting.

"She just had talent," I can hear you say. Did she? (Would this read better..."She had talent," I can hear you say, "did she?" (would she have ever figured out what to do; would she have ever made a painting worth even a quarter of the $2000.00?

Or, was it the fact that Richard had figured out exactly what goes on in the minds of the best and brightest artists and helped her do the same thing. NOTE: When I write, I do not like to use the same words twice. i.e. Richard had gone out and figured out...)

These are only suggestions and are not carved in stone.

I am an artist and loved this story. Well written

Review of THE WAITING ROOM

As he left I took a deep breath, and looked around, a group of women in a waiting room. (You left me hanging)
a group of women in a waiting room.
s? but never with this overwhelming feeling of fear. This is a conjunction. If you begin a sentence with 'but'
It should be capitalied. But (third paragraph) never....
(fifth paragraph) "not sure love, why?" "Not sure love, why?" Was this the way my life was going to be? imagining people crossing...(Imaging people crossing...) shoulder, they (gets a semi-colon) shoulder; they
and then she turned towards me, and I recognised the look (It might read better if you put..and then she turned towards me. I recognized the 'look'. Or (turned towardsme; I recognized the 'look'.

Make certain you check your usage of semi-colons and repeating words like, 'and'. You want your work to flow smoothly. Don't overuse the word 'and'.

Tom was talking to me but I (Tom was talking to me, but I)

looked at his face, was I (Watch your run-on sentences) looked at his face; was I

invasive stature. You see dragons either follow the path of darkness or light, (a) dragon comes to a point in (their) (lives) when they choose the wake

Watch your tenses: (a) dragon comes to a point in (its life) when (it chooses) the wake. (If you are speaking about one animal, person, etc the (it) is followed by the same tense. i.e. its vs. their life.)

Review of A False Alarm

Uni had finished early today. My 3p.m. lecture had been cancelled so I was able to leave at 1. I left the uni and made my way to (Holloway road tube station). I believe this should read: I left Uni and made my way to Holloway Road Tube Station. [I am just asking] Also be careful using the word 'that' too often. An author on Our Echo.com advised me concerning the word 'that'. I have a habit of using it too much. Also, be certain you are using your punctuations correctly.

time that I (mayÂ) as well get Sisters." come(s) through the speakers/or you can use 'came'

As I put everything away(gets a comma) I have a As I put everything away, I have

Also, don't use too many (ands) It distracts from the story

the announcer says, "Breaking news, just in, approximately half an hour ago there was an incident at Tottenham Hale tube station. An unidentified man in a black hoodie and blue jeans on the Victoria tube line according to one other passenger seemed to suddenly jump up

the announcer says, "Breaking news just in, approximately half an hour ago an incident occurred at Tottenham Hale Tube Station. An unidentified man, in a black hoodie and blue jeans, on the Victoria Tube Line, according to a passenger, suddenly jumped up, grabbed some bags off the floor and bolted off the tube. The passenger, a teacher, at first thought nothing of the man's actions although he thought it a bit weird and abrupt. The teacher said he noticed the man left his bag in the seat. His first inclination was to return the bag to the stranger, but the tube had already left the station. He decided to leave the bag where it lay.

Something inside the bag began beeping. As he got up to investigate, another passenger grabbed him by his arm, "Don't touch that bag! I'm an officer of the law. That bag may contain a bomb and could be triggered if it is moved or opened." Panic sat in for the teacher and those traveling on the tube.

(P.S. I was a police officer in real life. I am speaking as an officer would speak in the above situation. There would be more than a 'sight panic')

The officer activated a button on his radio contacting the driver, "We have a suspicious package on board. Kindly request the 'bomb unit'. Have them standing by at the next station." As soon as the tube stopped at Totteham Hale Station there was an immediate evacuation of all passengers and personnel. The bomb squad was standing by along with the 'bomb-sniffing' dog. The officer advised the squad about his suspicions and proper precautions were set in motion. Two connecting stations, Seven Sisters and Blackhorse Road, were also alerted. Their passengers and personnel were also evacuated. All trains that traveled the Victoria Line were evacuated.

The officer advised the conductor to announce, over the intercom, "This is not a drill! Will all passengers and personnel calmly make their way to the nearest exit immediately. Due to a security issue, Tottenham Hale Station is currently closed. The constable and the security team will usher everyone to safety."

As the local law-enforcement officers secured the area, the bomb squad entered the tube, led by the constable, to the seat where the suspicious package laid. (You don't want to say the officer brought them the offending bag because there was a beeping inside it).

The bomb squad's dog and handler entered the tube first. NOTE: You can take it from here. I wish you the best. Always check your spelling, punctuation's, complete words, i.e. To, two (numbers) and too meaning 'also'

If you break your story up into paragraphs, it will make for easier reading to those who read your story.

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I am almost

Wow. How moving. I recall when my own father passed away and my aunt, his eldest sister, who had died in 91 came back to get him. He was talking to her, in the upper right hand side of the room, asking her how she got up there. He was lucid and we had been carrying on conversations so I knew he wasn't out of it. I knew, when he saw her and was saying things like, "Well I declare." or "How about that" that it wouldn't be very long. This took place at or around midnight. That afternoon, his spirit left him.

Letting to is difficult. You are who matters when you look into that mirror. I can tell you have a beautiful spirit. I forgot all the ugly things said to me while growing up. Today, I am proud of who I have become. I am 75 and have lived a long, long time.

Keep writing
