This was a poem that instantly grips the reader and pulls them into the raw emotions expressed...I love how it twisted in the last part, giving the reader a view into the mind of depression. I can relate, I suffer as well...it's a disease you can't see yet it can kill. You were able to make the reader FEEL the words. Great Job!!

This story talks about bad decisions and the horrible effects that follow. The reader feels the emotion and pain as they read along, hanging onto every word. The husband will forever be punished by the knowing each day...the knowing of what was, what should be and what might have been. He will carry the guilt with him till the end of his days...one wrong choice and life as you know it can be forever changed. This was well written with a powerful message!

Wow! This was such an emotion filled story! The reader can feel the pain that Sue has, her disbelief that Joe has done this on top of surly her fear of the cancer he has. Years of memories that now linger between them, the answer unknown as to where this leaves them. The reader hangs on to every word and is left wanting more! This was a great story, it was well written and easy to read! Great Job!! Write On!~

The thought of losing anyone that we love is terrifying...the thought of losing the one we love, our soul mate in this world, is a thought that instills a fear in us that our heart simply cannot fathom. You express so well the feelings that would flood your mind and soul. I was hooked from the first line! Great Job!

This instantly pulls the reader into a world of a bleak future and a darkness that's never kind. The flood of feelings that emerge as you read is intense and you can feel her cry for help.

Every verse blended into the next...plunging you even deeper into the abyss...the words read so easily, leaving you hanging onto every word...and wanting more. And that as a author is what we all want...our readers wanting more! Great Job!

Wow!! This was truly beautiful and heart touching, brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry for your loss...I cannot imagine the pain that you must feel. Your grief is felt in your words, flowing evenly and smooth, verse by verse the reader is pulled deeper and deeper into your sorrow.

This poem hit very close to home and brought tears to my eyes...I felt the deep emotions of grief and pain...losing someone close to takes a piece of your heart to.

You wrote about someone you loved and it showed through your words...the verses blended smoothly and the reader cannot help but feel your pain.

Numbing the pain of life with whatever drug is your choice...never fixes the problem just hides it in the corner of your mind for awhile where it sits and festers and grows...when the high is gone and reality sets in..that is when the cycle of pain begins again.

A well written poem to show the view of the addict...desiring their fix.

I can 100% relate to this right now...I have been awake for over 36 hours as of now...normally I curse insomnia however this time I am okay with it...I have spent hour after hour scouring through everyone's writings...reading, learning and becoming so inspired by such great work that I have reviewed over 100 writings...Insomnia will not beat me...it will inspire me to strive for more!

Very well written and easy to read...a perfect peek into the mind of those that can't sleep!

Such an amazing and insightful view into the mind of an addict. The way they think, feel and act depends upon which demon is in control at that time. Fighting a battle that spins and spins...around and around..a vicious circle that they get caught up in and there is no way out in their eyes.

Very well written and emotional poem!

This is a poem grown in darkness, the darkness of our minds. As someone who suffers from mental health problems, I can relate very much to this....The demons are a daily battle that has yet to be won...

This was my favorite part:

Death’s joy is killing you
And sending you to the demons

It is like being damned to the hell of our minds where the demons play.

So many forms of cheating and none of them are okay...No matter what it is that you have been cheated on, the feeling are the same...feelings of betrayal, anger and shame....

It takes talent to write poems the way you do...without many lines you still manage to capture the reader and draw them in...I find myself drawn to your writing style...it comes off as kind of blunt..which I think is exactly as it should be told! I am a blunt person and I tell it like it is...you do the same with your poems yet in a way that makes the reader open their mind and think.

A very emotional and heartfelt expression of the pain and grief that he is overwhelmed with is felt through your powerful words. It's sad because this happens each and every day..people giving up on life and tossing it away...because they feel they have no other way out, no help, nowhere to turn.

The reader instantly feels the fear and panicky emotions that are flooding her mind. To think that you are trapped...like a caged animal...has to be terrifying. This was well written and your verses flowed and connected.

I did notice one thing, perhaps a typo:

Its like we a linked together

(It's like we (are) linked together

This oozes of darkness and fear...the reader can feel his heart race as panic sets in. Thinking about the end of ourselves is a never ending story, telling it over and over with a different ending each time...not knowing what truly will be but expecting the worse. This was a well written poem. I only noticed one thing that is maybe a typo:

The dead don’t feel cold

The dead (doesn't)feel (the) cold

Oh my gosh...this had me in tears..I lost my grandfather when I was 10 years old and I have NEVER gotten over it or gotten closure...He was my best friend, thought I had hung the moon! This poem ripped me back in time, made me feel every emotion that is expressed within your words and I loved it! Thank you for letting me take a trip down memory lane with you!

I love how innocent and pure the gift the boy offers truly is...there are many losses in life..some take a piece of us with them. Trying to get through the grief and heartache is a job in itself...trying to remain strong is harder then you think and hanging on to hope and faith eases your soul through the grieving process. Oh my gosh...this brought me to tears and my heart aches for you...from one mother to another, I cannot imagine your pain and I am so very sorry for what has been done to you. A mother should never have to feel the way you are, should never have her flesh and blood taken from her for no reason. I totally understand if the mother did something to harm the child then yes, but in your case...no way in hell should this be okay on any level! Your poem was so intense with emotions that you can't help but to feel them as you read. I pray that things turn around for you and your babies. Amazing poem!

You for sure make the reader FEEL the darkness and fear, almost speeds up the heart as you read it...perhaps sensing the fear? The detailed way you wrote made it so easy for the reader to slip into the words and get lost. Everyone has had a experience of some type of fear in life so it is easy to be able to relate. I love reading your writings...I get lost in the words and the power they hold. We are our own worst enemy, our demons that we face, we sometimes can't help the way that it is...all that we can really do is pray for help within, to fight our battles and be accepted for who we are. We often get caught up in the day to day chaos of life and forget to stop and smell the flowers! Life is not promised for tomorrow, we are NOT getting any younger,do what you want while you can because as you said..."No one is young forever!"

I enjoyed reading this, it does make you stop and think, live life in the now, before it passes us by!!

I can really relate to this poem. I have learned over the years that sometimes the friend we think is forever was gone yesterday, the friend we thought never, is there till the end. What happens is all that we allow, and often we allow people in our lives that are not there to better life, but to better themselves. Well written and well expressed! Write On!
