Very horrible experience it sounds like our system needs an overhaul. Many times a prison is built and by the time it is done it is already full. I think many cases could be rehabilited, meaning instead of throughing people in jail over drug use that they could send them to a drug program and help get them off drugs. Your experience just sounds so horrible and I have to admire your effort to help others to see what is going on inside our jail systems. Keep up the good work and may God bless you.
Isn't it amazing that dreams can seem so real. That in the moment that they are happening, you feel like it is taking place. When you wake up you start remembering what happen and then you just about have to pinch yourself to make sure that you are alright. Dreams like this give us an entirely different outlook on life as we had seen it before. Things that seemed so important don't matter anymore. Family and friends and loved ones become our focus. We realize that life is to short to worry about everything. Good job on this poem.

Children are to be loved and nourished so that one day that they can go out and face the world. I know the world is not perfect and that many are subjected to cruelity and beaten, burned, and tortured. Children are a gift from God, one of His greatest blessings. I don't see how anyone can mistreat them but they do. Thank God that your husband seen how beautiful and strong that you are. He loves you and has helped you to be happy. Very beautiful and it is so heartfelt. It is so hard to lose a loved one. To go from having the love of your life, and your best friend, to being all alone. To not have others understand the part of loving them because it was a secret between the two of you. It must be hard at times not to have someone to confined in. I guess you would feel alone, but then your memories help you to carry on. I would say many days that they still bring a smile, even though you are grieving all the while.
Wow very powerful. Sounds like a person is searching to find out who they are and to find their true place in life. Possibly that at one time in their life that they were truly happy and now do not recognize the person that is staring back at them in the mirror. Many times our life takes many twists and turns, and we don't like where we end up. We don't even like the person that we have become. That is when we have to do a lot of soul searching and try and find the turn on when we began to lose our way. Try to find the right direction that we should take that will truly make us happy. Now that is the kind of story that you would come across here in the country also in Kentucky. Neighbors working together to survive the worst of events. Lending a helping hand to one another and making the best of a bad situation. Good job keep up the excellent writing.
So sad, I believe I read one of your items about losing a loved one. Many times we must say goodbye to someone and it hurts so bad. Sometimes it may not be in death, it could be divorce, a relationship breaks up, or a best friend moves away. Regardless of how we have to say goodbye it truly hurts. You can really feel your pain, and tell that you are feeling very alone in your time of grief. Flows really good also.
So very sad. It would be so hard to lose your partner in life, your best friend, and spouse of many years. I would say that your mom felt like a part of her died that very day. Trying to deal with your pain and grief and get through everything else would be so overwhelming. May God bless your family and help you to get through the pain of your loss and help you carry on.
Very loving tribute in memory of your friends. Time has away of passing so fast but thank goodness we have the memories of our friends and loved ones to keep us going. They may have departed this world, to us sometimes way to soon, but they still live on within our hearts. We look back as the years pass and the loving memories take place of the grief that we felt. We remember them and how they lived their life, and a smile comes to our face, because sometimes we can remember them without tears falling like the rain.

Wow sounds like the making of a murder mystery for sure. I will have to take a look this week and see what twists and turns that this story holds. Sounds very exciting and full of the edge of your seat reading. To think that someone writes a poem and then it is left to the public to figure out the motive and the reason why. The story already has my attention.
Very good. I thank God that the Holy Spirit ministries to us when we are tempted by Satan. That God sends down the one thing that we need to remind us that there are other options and that we will be making a terrible mistake giving in to the devils temptations. I praise God for the part of my soul that is constantly reminding me that Satan is always lurking in the shadows to tempt us and make us fail.
I do hope it is fiction because I have laughed so hard. Forgive me if it really happened. If it did you have a very good outlook on things. This story is funny, you would think that you were going crazy. One to be able to hear what other people are thinking, and then to be able to experience their feelings now that would be awful. I guess we better be careful when we say I wish I knew what they are thinking huh?
Sometimes it is so hard to let go of love. Even though it is over and done it lives on in our hearts. Like the story of the poem, it makes it sound like the one you love has died. How lost love dies out for one but another still holds onto the hope that one day that the love of their life will return. They feel like they are drowning but can't make themselves get out of the water and go back to shore. They are searching for the love that they had and lost and can't seem to be happy without it.
This is really an interesting story. I think I have read about this volcanic eruption somewhere before. It may be a completely different one, but I remember that it was so devasting that it wiped out a whole villiage and left many people homeless and many lost their loved ones. Man that would be a horrible birthday, there would be no way that you could ever forget losing all your family at one time. Has this type of eruption ever happened again in that area? A book could be made out of this memory. Sharing the devestation and your surviving the ordeal and how the person dealt with their hearing loss and their grief of their life changing forever by losing all their immediate family.
This is really an inspiring story. It makes us take a look at our own lives and realize how blessed that we have truly been. That God blesses us in ways that we have never really acknowledge. God had a plan for John through his sufferings and trials John remained up beat no matter what he went through. He remained a postive wittness for God, and continues to show the great strength that comes from his faith. God can use us to be wittness to others if we just let Him. John's faith is so inspiring, and refreshing.
Oh now this is really an eye opener. We try so hard to handle things ourselves when we need to let God lead us. We step on His toes and interfer where we should just let it be His territory. I like the message behind this, in all that we do let God have control to trust Him enough with our faith that He will bring us through all of life's storms and by them make us a better person for the plan that He has for our lives.
This is just wonderful. To learn on an old piano and love just sitting and learning how to play to one day to go on to become a famous pianist. It would be sad to have to leave the instrument behind that you learned to play on. It would be like leaving a best friend to move to a new state. I really enjoyed this. Thank you.
This is absolutely great. Telling of how other family members have made a big impact on your life. Isn't it sad how many times it takes us losing them to realize what they have truly taught us. Losing your dad and your son within such a short time of one another must have been so painstakenly hard. I lost my mom and it took me quite a while to recover then like you stated you remember the loving memories and the faith and strength that they taught us throughout our lives. I know I change a lot myself when I lost my mom it shows us what is truly important in life, family and friend to let them know how much we love them. We realize we want to leave behind soul prints that will help them keep going and that they will always keep their faith strong in God. I have been reading the stories about the greatgrandchildren how precious they are.
This is so precious. Two littles that can work out their little problems by communicating they want to play something different. Wow if we all could do this as these littles ones have taught us we would be really good. I love how you said the little one Nana just handed him the toy next time and then started to chase him as he ran away to play tag. These moments are more precious than gold. I pray that as adults we all can learn from these babies and go to something that works like their way of thinking.
So many times families can drift apart due to differences in life. Sometimes the little children are put on the back burner and parents do truly make mistakes thinking that they are not affecting their little ones by their actions. As parents many need to remember to encourage their children and build up their self esteem, and to share them with unconditional love everyday. Not to let them feel like they are on their own. To enjoy the precious gifts that God has put in their care for a little while. As parents we need to pay more attention to our children and make sure that we are meeting their emotional needs as well as all their other needs. To pay attention to what they are going through. To make sure that we are not adding to their stress. That we make a postive influence one of love and understanding. No matter what a child goes through they are suppose to be able to depend on their parents for anything.
I love it, gives us all the reminder to tend to our own house and keep our affairs in order there and not to talk about what others should be doing or are not doing. We need to worry about what is in our heart, and try and share Jesus with the world and try and stay out of the judgemenal state. For if we judge we will be judged. To try and be kind to others and show them the love that Jesus showed to us is a good way to go. Just like stated God has His eyes upon us and knows what we do and say. So I want to be careful that I don't judge others and talk about them and cause them grave hurt.
Jamdownjenny this is really good, the rhyme flows really well also. Hope everything is well and it is good to see that the lawyer helped your brother and proved that he was innocent. It takes one very good and smart lawyer to get straight to the facts and for a judge to take him seriously. I am glad your brother was freed. Just think how many innocent people we have behind bars today, I would say the numbers would completely shock us all.
Very sweet and straight from the heart. So many times we are not given the opportunity to tell our moms how much they mean to us. That is why if your mom is still living to tell them everyday how precious they are to you and how much you love them. Because in a moment they can be gone on to their reward in heaven and the words that you wanted to tell them go unspoken. Never take one day for granted that they will be there tomorrow.
This is absolutely beautiful, it is sad to one extent but glorious to the next. I know it took you losing something so precious to you your mom, to find the love of Jesus but God works in mysterious ways. Now you would know a joy and love like your mom described to you. Your heart was wide open even though it was breaking. Like you stated you knew that she was up there with Him and now you would get to see her again.
