Dream Catchers An ancient Chippewa tradition The dream net has been made For many generations Where spirit dreams have played. Hung above the cradle board, Or in the lodge up high, The dream net catches bad dreams, While the good dreams slip on by. Bad dreams become entangled Among the sinew thread. Good dreams slip through the center hole, While you dream upon your bed. This is an ancient legend, Since dreams will never cease, Hang this dream net above your bed, Dream on, an be at peace. |
Prompt: If you had to choose an animal to represent yourself, what would it be? I think the operative word here is choose. If I could "choose", I would choose the horse. I think they are not only very strong but the most graceful and beautiful animal on earth. But—having to pick what I think most is like me, I would have to say the cat. Be it domestic, lion, tiger or panther. I'm good if not wrongly crossed, if so I will bare all claws. I hate to admit that, it is the truth. I am surprised I am even admitting this myself. I'll just pretend I am like a horse with cat-like qualities |
