They say your brain is split into three parts. For us writers they include: Just Writing
Hi guys! You've just found the Jlog of Jade Amber! Now you might be wondering: "What in the world is a 'Jlog'?" Well, a jlog is a mash of journal and blog. Since they give you an option for a title: Journal/Blog, I decided to mash them together! Hence the name 'Jlog'. So please enjoy a cup of Joe whilst you read and I will try to remember to 'Jlog' every day. While we're at it, enjoy these quotes I found online:

Wake up with determination, go to sleep with satisfaction.

Be happy and smile.

Don't call it a dream, call it a plan.

Life is tough, but so are you. -Stephanie Bennett-Henry

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, which all has the potential to turn someone's life around. -Leo Buscaglia

(Disclaimer: I don't have a Number 5 favorite fruit flavor, so I narrowed it down to 4.)

Number 4: Vanilla.

Now I know what you're thinking. "Vanilla's not a fruit! It's a spice!" Well, I was curious and the internet says, and I quote, "In fact, the vanilla orchid (Vanilla planifolia) is the only orchid that produces an edible fruit." So there you go.

Number 3: Blue Raspberry, or Blu Razzberry.

This has been my favorite lollipop flavor since I was in kindergarten. I think my first Blu Razzberry lolly was a Dum Dum lolly. I still like that flavor, even today!

Number 2: Cherry.

I love Dr. Pepper and Mr. Pibb. If it's a soda with cherry flavoring in it, I'm in love.

And finally, Number 1: Citrus flavors! Including lemon, lime and orange.

As you can probably tell by my love for citrus flavors, you might know that I love all things sour. Get me some Sour Patch Kids, and I'll be bouncing-off-the-walls happy. That's one way to cheer me up.

And now, my reaction/response.

Wait.

Can I fly now?

Breathe underwater?

Run really fast?!

Awesome!

Woah. You can speed up or slow down time?!

Cool!!

Wait.

I still have to do my homework?

Fudge.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
That, of course, would be every kid's response if their teacher, or some adult, told them those seven words.

But what about everything else?

If being able to sit in a chair was true, then if I tried sitting when everything was false, would that mean I would fall through the chair?

Same thing with standing, if standing was true, and it became false, would that mean I would be able to stand anymore?

And what about gravity?

If it's true and then became false, would everyone float around like we're in space?

That's just something to think about.

Sorry about not writing since forever!! Okay, it's only been a week and a day, but still!

Ahem! Anyway, today I'm talking about how I learned how to project; pictures on a screen. *Laugh*

Okay, I'll be reasonable. *Rolleyes*

Ahem!

I was 8 years old when I preformed my first ever play on the stage!

And I felt a new feeling when I thought of what the girl(s) who played Annie in "Annie, the Musical" had to do in one part in the play, they were supposed to sing or speak on stage, alone.

And what was that feeling I was talking about? Ha ha. Anxiety.

And to this day, I still feel that fear of stage fright when I hear that I have to do a monologue on the stage, alone. Just me and the audience.

Since I'm an introvert, I love to sing, but singing by myself in front of a huge crowd, makes me feel scared.

I know I can sing beautifully, and can sing like an angel, but I still have a feeling of people will hate my singing. Weird, huh?

Oops, we jumped the track. *Blush*

Anyway, back to the subject of how I learned to project.

Like I said, I was 8 when I did my first ever play on stage, but then I didn't have to speak, I just sang, and walked around. And jumped on the bed. *Bigsmile*

But I spoke for the first time, alone as a "stand alone character", two years and a few months later. *Shock2*

What I mean is, we did Annie in April of 2012, and The Jungle Book, where I was a "stand alone character" in June of 2014.

And through out the years, what I did with my mom when we were home, was she would go to her bedroom closet and I would recite my lines and if she could hear, I was good to go.

Now I'm great at projecting that we don't have to do that process anymore.

Next fear on my list of what needs conquering is stage fright. Wish me luck! *Smile*

No, this has nothing to do with the prompt for today.

Today, I'm going to let you see a little bit more about my life.

And today, it's pets.

Let's start with the "oldest" pet, the one that has been apart of this family ever since she was a month old.

** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

This is Bruhni.

She's funny, I know.

She's the only dog of the family, and really sweet.

If you want a sweet, but not too slobbery dog kiss, she's your dog.

She is an Australian/Lab mix.

We got her from my kindergarten teacher.

It's funny. We went to show my teacher a slideshow that my dad made of my class going on field trips, and when we left, we had a puppy.

On the way home, we were thinking of names to give her, not just any dog name, a good name that you can easily call her by.

What we did was we would think of a name, and then try to call her by it.

Now, I was, and still am, a fan of Peanuts and I suggested Peanuts character names to give her.

I thought of the Peanuts characters of Marcie, Peppermint Patty, Sally and Lucy, and tried calling her by those.

It didn't work.

So, dad came up with the idea to take "brunette" and make it into Bruhni.

When he tried calling her by that name, we knew we had found the right one.

This next one is the oldest of our trio of cats.

** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

This is Bubby, and here's a funny fact about him.

He adopted us.

No, no, no.

We didn't go to a local pet store and adopt him.

He was our next door neighbor's cat, our old neighbor, and he came over for food, so we had "half" of Bubby.

Then whenever something went wrong with him and our old neighbor, she gave the rest of him to us.

His real name is Socks, because of his sock feet, but his nickname is Bubby.

Don't ask me why.

This next cat is sister to our other boy cat.

** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

This is Athena, mostly know as Tina, Tinny, Tinny Tiny, or Tininy. Mostly Tina and Tinny.

She is a sweet girl that like her oldest brother, Bubby, she loves her belly scratched.

Just do it when she's mostly asleep.

She doesn't like to be held, mainly because I hold her like a baby. *Rolleyes*

But there have been times when the door to my bedroom will be open, and she would run and leap onto my bed, pitty-pat on the soft spots, and lie down. Sometimes, she'd be so tired, that it would take her half the time to pitty-pat and she would plop down.

And she's a big motorboat, when she has a comfy spot to catnap.

Our last cat is brother to our only girl cat, Athena.

** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

This is Apollo and this boy loves to sit on the perch outside of our kitchen window.

He'll look in and meow like he's saying "Let me in please!" sometimes, we'll let the "poor" cat in, and sometimes he has to stay out.

And when we go out to the backyard, or now what's known as the Clucking Yard, he's right behind us.

I don't know why, but I think he's interested in chickens.

He won't attack them, because they're slightly bigger, plus he'd be outnumbered, but he'd find a spot in the backyard and observe them.

These are our last pets, our chickens.

** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

Because they are a lot of chickens, I'll name and describe each one to y'all.

The biggest yellow chicken is Puffball. She was always the bigger chick.

The smallest yellow chicken is Dandelion, now deceased, she was killed by a fox.

The one whose tail feathers are not fully shown, that's Midnight. She's the sassiest of the group and always wants to get the food before anyone else.

And the last one is Truffle, whose tail feathers are shown and they are a good mix of black and white. She's the more laid back of the four, er three.

But if you could see Midnight's tail feathers, you might wonder "How can you figure out whose's Midnight and whose's Truffle?"

Easy. Their tail feathers.

As I said before, Truffle's back feathers are a good mix black and white, but Midnight has more black on her back feathers than white.

Problem solved. Case closed.

So those are our pets!

Hope you enjoyed!

No one.

No one hears me when I scream.

Why?

Because I rarely scream, that's why.

Now when I was younger, I screamed a lot, you would be surprised I didn't grow up with shortness of breath.

I only scream when I am experiencing something I have never experienced before.

Like touching a burner that was not on, but was next to a burner that was.

When that happened, I screamed so loud, I'm surprised no one called the cops.

Same thing that happened when I had my first ear ache.

I howled and yelled over and over, "It hurts!" like it was going to help if I kept saying that sentence over and over.

Thankfully, our next door neighbor's wife is a nurse, so she helped a lot.

So I'm the kind of person that knows better than to scream at every little thing, but will scream when experiencing pain that they have never encountered before.

Be glad for that, because when I scream, I scream as loud as I possibly can, mainly so I can get it all out.

When I was a tyke, dad wanted me to try gymnastics, so if I wanted to continue gymnastics, I would become like Nadia Comaneci.

So when dad came to pick me up one day, one of the instructors said I was in timeout.

When he asked why, she said during one of the exercises, I had taken a plastic golf club and started hitting a boy over the head with it, saying over and over, "I am a strong girl!"

My dad either laughed or was in a moment of shock at the incident.

That is one thing that I got in trouble for that I will never forget.

Another was also at gymnastics, except this wasn't at camp.

My dad had told me that I needed to take care of my head, otherwise I wouldn't be able to move my legs or arms.

But during gymnastics, I saw something that had an A frame and I walked over and climbed it.

What happened was I had slid down the A frame headfirst, and when my head hit the ground, I was stunned, but a few seconds later, I flipped over.

The face I had on showed that I remembered what dad had said and if something had gone wrong, I would be in a wheelchair probably.

And I never did that again. *Whistle*

I forgot about this funny fail. It too was recent.

So on Tuesday, I had to go to guitar practice, and I was still in my pjs. I was around 4.

So I ran and put on a shirt and some jean shorts, but the thing is, whenever I put on my jeans they're unbuttoned, these weren't, but they fit even when buttoned.

So I went to guitar and it was fine, then we went home and a couple hours later I go to the bathroom. Here comes the funny part.

My fly was down the whole time I was at guitar practice and I hadn't noticed until then.

I wasn't that embarrassed, but I was slightly.

But I just thought that was funny.

No one else had noticed, so that was good.

That is just another entry in my book of fails, funny or not.

Well, just two days ago, I finished loading the dishes and I had closed the door to the dish washer.

Mom asked me if I had put soap in, because it looked like I was going to start a new load.

I said "No, I didn't put soap in there because the dishes are dirty."

Get it? Got it? Good.

We just laughed and laughed about that.

That's something that I will probably remember for a long time.
