To a question "What are the biggest misconceptions Indians have about India?"
Recently, a software guy welcomed his Japanese onsite coordinator to his office in Bengaluru, and it actually changed his life. Let him explain what happened.

"Soon after receiving him at the airport with formal pleasantries, I took him in our company cab, and in no time, we were already chugging along the busy roads of Bengaluru. As expected, we struck up a conversation starting with the weather, and gradually moved towards topics like development, cleanliness, etc.

I think he initially hesitated to say this, but after some familiarity & comfort, he opened up & said that India has good talent but is unfortunately very underdeveloped. I was quick to remind him that India was actually a superpower till the 10th Century, and pointed out to him that this was all due to the 500 years of Mughal rule & 300 years of British rule, which broke our civilisation, and resulted in such an underdeveloped nation. I also started explaining to him about all the forces breaking India to keep our nation backward.

As I was explaining this, we were stuck in a traffic jam & I noticed him keenly observing a guy on the street spitting pan-masala right there. He asked me "You see how that guy made the street dirty? Is it because the Mughal rulers & the British taught him such habits 500 years ago?".

Frankly, I had no answer and tried to mumble something. The very next moment, he saw a vehicle on the other side of the road jumping a traffic signal, leading to chaos & more traffic jam at the other side. He pointed it out to me and asked me "You see how that guy violated the traffic rule & caused a mess? Is it because the British taught him to break rules 300 years ago? Or is it the breaking India agents who are brainwashing him into breaking traffic rules?".

My entire body became numb. I couldn't say anything. He told me "You guys seem to be an expert in passing on the blame to everyone else but yourself. It is you people who have no civic sense, no respect for rules, no respect for your surroundings, but you people know how to easily blame everything on some medieval rulers, British and breaking India agents etc. How many years has it been since you got independence? 70 years? Look at us. In 1945, our Hiroshima, Nagasaki and almost half of our country was completely destroyed, but within 20 years each of us owned responsibility, and developed. And here, even after 70 years, you guys are busy blaming others while the fault is actually within yourselves?".

That's it. I had enough of it. I felt humiliated, really pissed off & remained silent throughout the journey. But at the end of the day, when I mentally revisited everything that happened & introspected, I felt that what he said was right. Unless we stop blaming others, and we ourselves gear up, become disciplined, respect our nation, respect rules, respect our surroundings, etc, we cannot improve. And this change should come from within us."

Sometimes you are unsatisfied with your life, while many people in this world are dreaming of living your life.

A child on a farm sees a plane fly overhead and dreams of flying. But, a pilot on the plane sees the farmhouse and dreams of returning home. That’s life!! Enjoy yours… If wealth is the secret to happiness, then the rich should be dancing on the streets.

But only poor kids do that. If power ensures security, then officials should walk unguarded. But those who live simply, sleep soundly. If beauty and fame bring ideal relationships, then celebrities should have the best marriages. Live simply. Walk humbly and love genuinely..! All good will come back to you.

In an ancient temple, a number of pigeons lived happily on roof top.

When the renovation of the temple began for the annual temple feast the pigeons relocated themselves to a Church nearby.

The existing pigeons in the Church accommodated the new comers very well.

Christmas was nearing and the Church was given a facelift, All the pigeons had to move out and look for another place.

They were fortunate to find a place in a Mosque nearby, The pigeons in the Mosque welcomed them happily.

It was Ramadan time and the Mosque was repainted, All the pigeons now came to the same ancient temple.

One day the pigeons on top found some communal clashes below in a market square.

The baby pigeon asked the mother pigeon
"Who are these people ?

The mother replied; they are "Human beings".

The baby asked,
But why are they fighting with each other...?

The mother said "These human beings going to temple are called 'Hindus' and the people going to Church are called 'Christians' and the people going to Mosque are called 'Muslims'.

The Baby pigeon asked, "Why is it so? When we were in the Temple we were called Pigeons, when we were in the church we were called Pigeons and when we were in the Mosque, we were called Pigeons. Similarly they should be called just
'Human beings' wherever they go"?

The mother Pigeon said,
'You and me and our Pigeon friends have experienced God and that's why we are living here in a highly elevated place peacefully.

These people are yet to experience God.

Hence they are living below us and fighting and killing each other.

WHAT IS THE MOST AUSPICIOUS GRACE OF DIVINE MOTHER?
❤ It is solely by Divine Mothers grace that i can relate this high truth to you: "The most loving grace of Divine Mother is very rare...
Her most auspicious grace gives us the compelling wish to be free even of our good and virtuous actions... And when all our vasanas and samskaras are removed by Her love, there arises the highest state of pure loving absorption...
Even the most adept kriya yogis practicing samadhi in the Himalayas are confronted with obstacles only until they receive Kalikas grace, for after receiving Her grace there are no karmas and samskaras to create any more obstacles...
Once The boon of Her grace is given, the fortunate kriya prem yogi has unfettered access to seedless sahaja samadhi...
The blessed yogi then has the perfect freedom to leave the elemental body at will...
After reaching this state of realization, they can be active in the world and yet remain unaffected by their actions because their actions are no longer motivated by egoic self-interest...
As long as their body is maintained on earth it is irrelevant what lifestyle they adopt because internally they are always established in the Self of Kutastha" ... ❤

SUCCESS - EXACTLY WHAT IS IT ?......

1. " To Laugh OFTEN and LOVE MUCH; to WIN the Respect of Intelligent persons and the AFFECTION of Children; TO EARN the Approbation of HONEST citizens and ENDURE the betrayal of false friends; to APPRECIATE BEAUTY; to Find the Best in others; to GIVE of ONES SELF; to leave the world a Bit BETTER, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a Redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; TO KNOW EVEN ONE LIFE HAS BREATHED EASIER BECAUSE YOU HAVE LIVED —THIS IS.. To Have SUCCEEDED........"

2. " A Man is a Success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he Wants to do......"

3. " The test of Success is NOT What you do when you are on top. Success is HOW HIGH YOU BOUNCE WHEN YOU HIT THE BOTTOM......."

AND YES..........

" Running isn't a sport for pretty boys..IT IS ABOUT the sweat in your hair and the blisters on your feet. Its the frozen spit on your chin and the nausea in your gut. It's about throbbing calves and cramps at midnight that are strong enough to wake the dead. It's about getting out the door and running when the rest of the world is only dreaming about having the passion that you need to live each and every day with. It's about being on a lonely road and running like a champion even when there's not a single soul in sight to cheer you on. Running is all about having the desire to train and persevere until every fiber in your legs, mind, and heart is turned to steel. And when you've finally forged hard enough, you will have become the best runner you can be. And that's all that you can ask for......."

Now That my Friends, is what SUCCESS is..........

Discovery of the Technique

By the year 2001, the author had been studying the teachings of almost all the various religions and spiritual paths for 27 years, from the bodily age of 15 to 42. He had read more than two thousand spiritual books. He had spent time with many spiritual teachers in America and India. It was clear that the essence of most of the spiritual teachings was focusing the attention on the “I AM”. The place where Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and “Hinduism” meet is turning inward and focusing the attention on the “I AM”.
The most direct and rapid means to eternal bliss, finding the kingdom within, “Self-realization” etc., is turning the attention within to focus on the “I AM”.

One modern example of this in “Hinduism” is Nisargadatta Maharaj. Nisargadatta’s Guru told him to pay attention to the “I AM” to the exclusion of all else. Nisargadatta followed his Guru’s instruction for three years. After three years of practicing in his spare time, Nisargadatta realized his true Self. He had to work to support his family, therefore, he could only practice in his spare time. Nisargadatta used to spend hours each day looking at the true Self.

Focusing the attention on the I AM, while excluding all else from one’s attention, is an ancient practice in “Hinduism”. The importance of looking inward and knowing the “I AM” is found in the Judeo-Christian teachings also :
And God said to Moses, “I AM THAT I AM”. And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you”. (Exodus 3:14)
“Be still and know I AM God”. (Psalms 46:10)
Jesus said “Before Abraham was, I AM”. (John 8:58)
“The Kingdom of God is within you”. (Luke 17:21)

Jesus did not say the Kingdom of God will be within you after your body dies. Jesus said, “is”. “Is” is present tense. “Is” means now.
The Prophet Mohammad said: “He who knows his Self knows his Lord”.

Another modern example from “Hinduism” is Ramana Maharshi.
Ramana Maharshi taught for more than 50 years that the only effective means to end the ego and sorrow and to remain as eternal joy is to focus on the Self, the I, the I AM.

By the year 2001, the author had attempted to practice the method of focusing the attention on the I AM for 27 years yet he had made very little progress with that or any other method.
In December of the author was in Tiruvannamalai India for the purpose of attending the talks of a teacher in the Ramana Maharshi tradition. He was thinking about all the possible meanings of I and I AM and all the possible approaches to I and I AM that he had read over the years.

- The I thought, the thought I AM.
- The I feeling, the feeling I AM.
- The I consciousness, the I AM consciousness.
- To think I or I AM.
- To feel I or I AM.
- To focus the attention on I or I AM.
- The number of different combinations of the approaches and the different views of what I or I AM means.

After 27 years, the author still was not sure what I AM means in Direct Experience, wondering if there was some way to solve these questions and to have clarity both in the meaning of I or I AM and what to do with it, focus the attention, feel, think, or? He wanted an understanding that was so clear that there would be
nothing vague left, no more choices left.

The author really wanted to know the answer, willing to have his previous understanding shattered if need be. There was a willingness to consider, maybe for the last two and a half decades,
the author had not at all understood what the I AM is and how to focus on it. It was a willingness to allow all the old views to be swept away, if need be.

Ramana Maharshi had said that Self-inquiry is more like feeling than like thought. Asking “Who am I?” or asking “To whom do these thoughts arise?” are easy instructions to follow as long as one stays in the realm of thought. However, when it comes to feeling “Who am I?” or feeling “I AM”, that had always been a bit vague because what exactly is the feeling I AM?
How do I know I AM? Nisargadatta Maharaj and many others had said the I AM is consciousness.

The author wondered is the “I AM” the I-thought or is the “I AM” just my present awareness? If the “I AM” is this present awareness, just the awareness that is now looking at this room, then paying attention to the I AM is just:

My awareness watching my awareness! This was a revelation!

Instead of having some vague practice where one is told to pay attention to the feeling, I AM, without ever being sure exactly what the “I AM” is and feels like, here was an absolutely clear instruction:

My present awareness watching my present awareness. Awareness watching awareness.

Not some unknown seemingly far away awareness labeled the Infinite Self, or labeled God. This awareness, my awareness, here and now watching itself, while ignoring thought, the body, and the world, etc.

Immediately the author tried this practice: Awareness watching awareness while ignoring thought.

The author shut his eyes because the point was also to ignore the world. To turn the attention that normally goes out to the world around 180 degrees and to look inward. To turn the attention away from thought and towards awareness watching awareness.

Awareness paying attention only to itself.
The results were instant!
From the very first moment, one tries this practice, one is abiding as awareness!

There is no waiting!
It is so easy.

One does not mean to imply that from the beginning the ego ends.
It takes years of continuous practice before the ego meets its final end.
However, from the moment one tries this simple, easy to understand practice, one is abiding as awareness!

The author practiced the Awareness Watching Awareness Method for two years, from December 2001 to January 2004.

There were more days with twelve hours of practice than there were days with two hours of practice.

In January of 2004 the author's ego, sorrow and suffering came to its final end and what remained is:

Infinite-Eternal-Awareness-Love-Bliss.
Thus the Awareness Watching Awareness Method once again lived up to its reputation as being the most rapid and direct means to eternal bliss here and now in this lifetime.

BRAHMAN IS CONCEALED BY FLESH AND BONES ❤ Raja- Kriya Yoga Diksha (initiation) is not just the teaching of kriya yoga Sadhana meditation techniques. The seven chapters of kriya yoga techniques can be found and explained in detail in some of the ancient tantric scriptures of yesteryear. The injunction set down by Babaji is that kriya yoga initiation be given by the God-realized to the sincere and humble disciple who has proven to be truthful (ripe and ready to receive and benefit from the revelation of Truth) from the illumined Preceptor (Guru).

At the time of kriya yoga initiation the Guru reveals Truth to the student in shared consciousness, and then specific kriya yoga meditation techniques are taught in seven chapters to prepare the disciple for the fullness of illumined consciousness (Cosmic Consciousness)...
Before Truth was revealed in shared consciousness and the ancient kriya yoga techniques were demonstrated and taught one cool sunny morning almost half a century ago with two others on the bank of the Ganga in the snow capped Himalayas our Illumined Preceptor said:
"As fire is concealed by ashes, sword by the scabbard, sun by the clouds, fetus by the amnion, rubies by the earth, mattress by the bed sheet, so also, Brahman is concealed by flesh and bones."

Q. How am I to know if I am making any progress in my meditation?
AS: Those who meditate a lot often develop a subtle form of ego. They become pleased with the idea that they are making some progress; they become pleased with the states of peace and bliss that they enjoy; they become pleased that they have learned to exercise some control over their wayward minds; or they may derive some satisfaction from the fact that they have found a good guru or a good method of meditation.

All these feelings are ego feelings. When ego feelings are present, awareness of the Self is absent. The thought 'I am meditating’ is an ego thought. If real meditation is taking place, this thought cannot arise.

Don't worry about whether you are making progress or not.
Just keep your attention on the Self twenty-four hours a day.
Meditation is not something that should be done in a particular position at a particular time. It is an awareness and an attitude that must persist throughout the day. To be effective, meditation must be continuous.

If you want to water a field you dig a channel to the field and send water continuously along it for a lengthy period of time.

If you send water for only ten seconds and then stop, the water sinks into the ground even before it reaches the field. You will not be able to reach the Self and stay there without a prolonged, continuous effort. Each time you give up trying, or get distracted, some of your previous effort goes to waste.

Continuous inhalation and exhalation are necessary for the continuance of life. Continuous meditation is necessary for all
those who want to stay in the Self.

I was waiting in line for a ride at the airport in Dubai. When a cab pulled up, the first thing I noticed was that the taxi was polished to a bright shine. Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, and freshly pressed black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to open the back passenger door for me.

He handed me a laminated card and said: 'I'm Abdul, your driver. While I'm loading your bags in the trunk I'd like you to read my mission statement.'

Taken aback, I read the card. It said: Abdul's Mission Statement:
To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheapest way possible in a friendly environment.

This blew me away. Especially when I noticed that the inside of the cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean!

As he slid behind the wheel, Abdul said, 'Would you like a cup of coffee? I have a thermos of regular and one of decaf.'

I said jokingly, 'No, I'd prefer a soft drink.'

Abdul smiled and said, 'No problem. I have a cooler up front with regular and Diet Coke, lassi, water and orange juice.'

Almost stuttering, I said, 'I'll take a Lassi.'

Handing me my drink, Abdul said, 'If you'd like something to read, I have The NST , Star and Sun Today.'

As they were pulling away, Abdul handed me another laminated card, 'These are the stations I get and the music they play, if you'd like to listen to the radio.'

And as if that weren't enough, Abdul told me that he had the air conditioning on and asked if the temperature was comfortable for me.

Then he advised me of the best route to my destination for that time of day. He also let me know that he'd be happy to chat and tell me about some of the sights or, if I preferred, to leave me with my own thoughts.

'Tell me, Abdul ,' I was amazed and asked him, 'have you always served customers like this?'

Abdul smiled into the rear view mirror. "No, not always. In fact, it's only been in the last two years. My first five years driving, I spent most of my time complaining like all the rest of the cabbies do. Then I heard about POWER OF CHOICE one day."

_Power of choice is that you can be a duck or an eagle._

'If you get up in the morning expecting to have a bad day, you'll rarely disappoint yourself. Stop complaining!'

*'Don't be a duck. Be an eagle. Ducks quack and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd.'*

'That hit me. really hard' said Abdul.

'It is about me. I was always quacking and complaining, so I decided to change my attitude and become an eagle. I looked around at the other cabs and their drivers. The cabs were dirty, the drivers were unfriendly, and the customers were unhappy. So I decided to make some changes, slowly ... a few at a time. When my customers responded well, I did more.'

'I take it that it has paid off for you,' I said.

'It sure has,' Abdul replied. 'My first year as an eagle, I doubled my income from the previous year. This year I'll probably quadruple it. My customers call me for appointments on my cell phone or leave a message on it.'

Abdul made a different choice. He decided to stop quacking like a duck and start soaring like an eagle.

_Start becoming an eagle today ... one small step every week..next week... And next...And...._

A great Thought..

*"You don't die if you fall in water, you die only if you don't swim.*

Thats the Real Meaning of Life.

Improve yourself and your skills in a different way.

🦅 *Be an eagle. .not a Duck.* 🦆
