I really don't know how to respnd to this other than to say he's right. I do know that I often disagree with science on the basis of faith. Some of their theories are so far flung that not even a monkey would believe them. They can't explain how life originated nor how plants became animals. Biology is particularly bad about believing in fantasies. The theory of evolution is a fantasy. None of my ancestors were ever apes.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs "Prompt: You wake up at midnight and can't go back to sleep. What do you do?"

This happens to me a lot. I go to bed very early, usually around 8:00PM -8:30PM because I get up very early. It is not at all unusual to wake up around midnight unable to go back to sleep. When that happens I do not just lie there tossing and turning. I do not want to teach myself that the bed is for punishment. Usually I will get up and do something. I'll read one of my text books or write some poetry or something. I will find something to do until I wear myself out enough to go back to bed. I woke up last night at one and could not get back to sleep. I have a history midterm to morrow so I grabbed my history book and read some of it. In a little bit the words were jumbling on the page and making no sense. I put the book down, turned out the light, and was asleep shortly thereafter. The last thing I ever want to do is allow my brain to associate the bed with anything unpleasant. Beds are made for two things: sex and sleep. They are not to become torture chambers. If I allow it to become a torture chamber sleeping will be harder for me.

Blog City image small "Prompt: Which kinds of scenes from a book or a movie make you sad and which ones make you smile?"

I suppose I am not all that different from anybody else. Sad scenes make me sad and happy scenes make me smile. I have seen plenty of times when I would cry because of a funeral in a book or movie.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs Blog City image small I know there is no prompt today but I don't want to fall out of the habit of blogging so I'm writing this. As most people know, I am a soldier in the Salvation Army. I am our adult Sunday school teacher, which means I am teaching this morning. I am also involved in our corps "Penny Wars". Penny wars is a campaign we do in October to raise our missionary offerings for the year. It is a friendly competition between the corps men's club and the home league or women's club. (I know, The term "home league" sounds archaic and sexist). Anyway, if the men's club collects the most pennies in October, the home league serves us breakfast the first Sunday of November. If the women collect the most pennies they get breakfast served by the men's club. It has to be copper. Silver coins count as a deduction in points. Therefore I have gathered up $13.07 cents. $5.07 is in pennies for the men's club. The remaining $8.00 is for the home league. The women are going to love me! The treasurer will love me as well because I separated the pennies into a bag and labeled the amount so she doesn't have to count it. I usually help count the offering anyway so it would likely fall on me anyway. I'm saving us both the trouble. I have no wrappers or I would wrap them for accuracy. As it is, it is all separated.
I would like to ask how many of my readers attend church regularly? Of those who do, how many believe in tithing? I tithe my paycheck as a part of my covenant with the Salvation Army. I have yet to do without anything. I know that God honors the tithe. He blesses it and it is multiplied back. We may not have a lot of money, but we will never do without.

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs :"Prompt: Write about a good day that you've had recently."

Everyday is a good day for me as I am a Christian. The days I get to wake up I can spend walking with the Lord and the day I don't wake up I get to go be with the Lord permanently so it is a win win situation for me, However I know what you mean by this question so I would have to say that Saturday two weeks ago was the most special day I've had this year. Two of my brothers drove the two hours required to come and see me. We went and had lunch together and generally had a good time. It was very special. Here is a pic:

|image:1887652-33%} Prompt: "Do you give back to your community by volunteering? Or maybe you have a favorite."

I give back to my community a lot. I am a soldier in the Salvation Army. I am my corps Community Outreach Coordinator. I do the corps nursing home (institutional) ,ministry and I am the corps adult Sunday school teacher. I will be working part time starting in November as a a peer support specialist for my Corp's Pathways of Hope program though that is a paid position. Pathways of Hope is a program aimed at breaking generational poverty by assisting with career training and other programs. I will be doing case management and counseling there.
As ii stands right now I am pretty involved in the Salvation Army. I volunteer about 20 hours per week there.

Blog City image small :Prompt: "You can disagree without being disagreeable." Ruth Bader Ginsburg Do you agree or disagree with this statement?"

I not only agree with that statement, but use that quote quite often myself. It is possible to disagree without becoming obnoxious. This is what she is saying. You don't need to be angry and hurtful to disagree,

Image for BCOF members to put in their blogs "Write a story about someone whose lifestyle has changed and is learning to adjust to new circumstances."

This should be fairly easy. I will simply write about myself. My lifestyle just took a drastic change. I was working in July and I made about $1,000.00. The thing is that I am on disability so I get penalized for working. So far they have taken $2500.00 out of my check for the $1,000.00 that I made.It makes me want to go back to work because like everybody, I love to lose money! Now I am absolutely broke and don't know when I may be getting more money. It stinks!

I don't know the recipe but my favorite coffee is Starbucks Triple Chocolate Mocha. It has espresso, milk, and three different types of chocolate blended into it along with ice and whipped cream. I usually treat myself to one before starting class each morning at university. Today I am drinking a cup of regular coffee because I have a tremendous headache. Caffeine is one of the ingredients inn the best headache medication on the market so when I get a headache I usually drink a cup of coffee for the caffeine. Espresso is loaded with caffeine as well but I don't have the money today to buy one. It's pay day for me.I get paid every Tuesday. However my check comes in the mail and will not arrive until later today. Now I'm off to the university. I can't believe we are facing mid-terms already. Next week is mid-terms week. It seems like we just started and now the semester is half over. I will soon have my Regents Bachelor of Arts in psychology. I will be working for the Salvation Army Huntington Corps in the Pathways of Hope program as a peer support specialist. The Pathways of Hope program is designed to help people break the cycle of generational poverty by helping them get educations,go to work, go to rehab, or whatever is needed. I will be working two days per week and attending school two days.

I can't think of a thing to be honest, although I have a friend who had a lot of inventions. He designed them on paper but never did design them in the real world. then he lost the designs and cannot remember what they were. He may have invented something we really need.
