"Prompt: Tell about a time you felt attacked or judged for you faith. How did you respond?" I can't say that I ever really did feel attacked and judged for my faith. I mean the time is coming when we will be, but to date I've never experienced it severely enough to remark about it. "Prompt: I was cruising the galaxy with Dr. Beverly Crusher and we found this planet:
Write about this item in your Blog entry today. Happy Birthday WDC! I know The StoryMaster and the crew work their butts off to keep this site running. I am a premium member and intend to stay that way because it is a great site! Happy 21st WDC. Now you can break out the bubbly! |
"Prompt: Who is the one person you're looking forward to hanging out with in heaven?" I personally don't think we'll be hanging out with anybody. I think we will be too busy worshiping to hang out. When we consider how awesome God is, I don't think we'll have a thought about anything but praising Him. Prompt: I was cruising the galaxy with Buck Rogers and found this planet:
Write about Apollo and space travel for your Blog entry today. I love acrostics. I tell people all the time to never say that the sky is the limit as there are footprints on the moon! |
"Prompt: What are some characteristics of someone who is “mature” in their faith?" This is a tough question because the answer is really subjective. There really is no totally correct way of answering it as even mature Christians make mistakes. None of us are perfect. However, I believe a mature Christian tends to take submitting to the Spirit more seriously. They put others ahead of themselves and not just those around them all the time. They are not focused on paying bills and having the next nice gizmo that comes down the pike. Instead their focus is the Lord Jesus christ and the things of heaven. To be honest, I know only a few mature Christians. Most are still babes in Christ. Mature Christians are weird compared to the world. They exhibit the fruits of the Spirit in all things. They'd rather help out a stranger than eat. They take care of others at the expense of self. They always do the next right thing. Prompt: Our leader was called away by Captain Kirk so I went on a mission and am doing this today. I was cruising the galaxy the planet and found this planet: (824) Read this item: ** Image ID #1776715 Unavailable ** Write about this in your Blog entry today." I want to apologize to the crew for being tardy with the prompt Monday and Tuesday. I am currently in graduate school (finals) and working in four positions at my vocation. Half the time I forget what night it is or that I was supposed to send the prompt. I came by to send it last night and noticed that Princess Megan Rose 22 Years had already done so. Thank you, Princess! I think it is a shame the way Native Americans were treated. On the other hand, we cannot erase history and no amount of whining is going to change it. It isn't like we are going to give it back. We aren't going to send slave ships back to Africa and it would not be right to expect today's generation to pay for the crimes of generations five times back. It is what it is. We can learn from it maybe. I doubt that even. |
"Prompt: What is one thing you would change about your church if you could? How can we make our church more Christ-like?" If I could change anything, I would change the bickering. Somebody will do something and somebody else will get jealous and quit coming because of it. People it's not about who deserves this or that. Be happy for each other even if they get something they "don't deserve." Jesus is all about restoration. He loves multiplcation and addition. He hates subtraction and division. Prompt: "
Cats are finicky creatures. I like cats but I am more of a "no animals" person. I don't want the responsibility. I have enough to do without taking care of an animal. |
"Prompt: What is the best way to show a stranger the love of Christ?" I love a prompt like this. I can sink my teeth into it for it gets down to the nuts and bolts of being a Christian. The best way to show the love of Christ to anybody is to simply do the next right thing each time. If we see somebody in need then meet that need. Don't ask "What is in this for me? Ask, what is best for them? What does the next person need? I have walked up to perfect strangers in restaurants and paid for their meals. I have taken homeless people around to agencies to get them housed and employed. Being a Christian means doing the next right thing foor the nextr right reason. Prompt: "I had church yesterday and preached last night so I'm behind the eight ball. Sorry. On my way back from safari in cyberspace I saw Jenn Webster who writes
I know a lot of churches arre still shut down. It seems a shame that churches will voluntarily abstain from services to save lives but the nightclubs are open for people to huddle into and breathe all over each other. We all know that the patrons of bars are not observing mask rules and social distancing where churches would. I say we shut down the liquor stores and nightclubs first. Then this thing will get under control. However, we know they aren't going to shut down the titty bars and night clubs. They've got to be able to sin and frollick and destroy themselves. That's why God prophesied that pandemics would come one after anothher and they will. The new "Delta" variant will mutate and become another variant and people will continue to huddle in the mating centers and spread it. "Prompt: We need Joy as we need air. We need Love as we need water. We need each other as we need the earth we share. Maya Angelou What do you think? It has been a good while since I did an entry for the BCoF. I've been working like five jobs so I have been very busy. Today is a rare day and I find myself temporarily idle. So i thought I'd try to blog. I agree with Maya Angelou. In my belief humans were created to serve their Creator and each other. As such we miss out on our purpose when we only think of ourselves. Every major religion, including Wicca and the pagan religions, have doing good as their rule. The Wiccan rede says that witches are never to cast an evil spell but only spells for good. Christianity says to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Islam has a similar rule as does Buddhism and Hinduism. Love is universal truth. "Prompt: “Life would be tragic if it weren’t funny.” Stephen Hawking What do you think is tragic and/or funny about life?" I agree with Hawking and that says something for I don't agree with him on a lot of things. I don't understand his physics enough to argue with them but I know science is proving him wrong on a few things. For example, he said that nothing but a certain radiation escaped the great gravity of blackholes and scientists now find that certain gases can do so. So Hawking was wrong. However, I agree with hawking that life is both tragic and laughable. I mean, the US elected Joe Biden and thatt is a real laughable offense. It shows stupidity to the Nth degree. So life can be laughable when we laugh at our mistakes. On the other hand life is tragic. People often miss the point of life which is the biggest tragedy of all. |
