I really liked this. I could feel this person on their side, hoping to die, or better yet, a piece of them dying, while no one cared to bother if they were okay. The world can be cruel. But even though death seemed to be in the air, maybe the moon cascaded a glimpse of hope. Giving them another day to become strong. I dunno, this is just my thoughts. But very well written. Keep writing.
