Hello Harryg,

Just what everyone would love to have!
I a friend like old Salty Poems. What
a wonderful joy to read your story of the
old seadog.

To think that these stones have been
in the family for 90 years is amazing.
I will certainly be going over to read
more of your work on Lulu.

Thank you so much for sharing such
a wonderful store house of Storoems.

Review of Graveside Grief
Review by MDuci
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
Hello Harryg,

It is very fitting that for all eternity
a love one can heal their grief
by visiting the graveside of a lost
love one.

You've told this story very well
and one can only hear the voices
of the angels as they discuss
the love one who is in grief.

Each visit, continues the
healing process and one
day they will be able to
pick up their own lives,
until they meet again.

Great story told gentle and
makes one feel at peace.
Thank you for sharing.

Hello Harryg,

I think you've come up with a delightful new word
for your storoems.
I enjoyed this little piece very much, and I for one
love reading work which has as little as one verse,
or a dozen. As long as it has a story that will hold
my interest.

I don't have a problem with over used words,
or long run of the mill words, just make the
story sound exciting and real...and I think that
is what your work does for me is tell a creative
storoems.*Smile*

Thank you again for sharing your talent.

Hello Harryg,

I truly loved the story of the battered, and
scared school bell.

You painted me a story that began with a proud
and shinny bell, who rings out loud and clear for
many generations - from school marm to school
marm, this bell was passed. Then broken and
battered, found and fixed to ring again, and many
years later tossed away after a deadly storm
only to be found again.

It can be said, that like the sands of time we all
grow tired, battered by storms. Some of us will
rise up and shine again and be found again
like the old battered and scared school bell.

An absolutely enjoyable piece and thank you so
much for sharing, as it read like a wonderful
prose poem to me.

Sincerely

Your poem was so wonderful penned, and speaks so well of a soldiers heart.
I was so touched by your tribute and I know there are many who smile down on the old warrior. A beautiful work of heart and soul. My favorite lines:

""Look up in the sky above," I heard God softly say,
and as I did I saw a sight that took my breath away.

Smiling down from far above were thirty men or more,
these were friends and gentle souls who lost their lives in war."

Thank you for entering and continue your great work.

Dear Larry,

The year off did not hurt one bit! Your words are still so powerful and as
ever divine. I love the picture you've painted and the children appear so
clear, I can see them when I close my eyes. I am so happy to see our mentor

Hello Just an Ordinary Boo! ,

I am reviewing your story as a judge for "Quotation Inspiration: Official Contest" . Thank you so much for entering your story and good luck in the contest.

Absolutely a wonderful and fulfilling story of caring for those who cannot stand up for themselves as was the case of Karia, the milkman by your beautiful daughter Ravi. Such is the wonderment of children…if only the world could be run by such gifted children! Haaaaaaaa, no more darkness in the world, only love and happiness in its wake, just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes.

Thank you so much for sharing this story with us and for sharing your daughters good works and deeds.

I wish you the best of luck in the contest, and continue to write on dear Jyo.

Sincerely

Hello Prosperous Snow celebrating ,

I am reviewing your story as a judge for "Quotation Inspiration: Official Contest. Thank you so much for entering your story and good luck in the contest.

Sometimes the first sentence in a story should be so captivating, that your attention cannot be taken away; even if the phone rings one will not divert his attention to answer. I felt that a strong first sentence and the use of The Christ’ first name would have given it more source from my point of view.

Over-all, I seem to know the direction the author was taking; but it was mostly telling and not showing enough for this reader. I think a few more lines of showing the eloquence and dignity of how he made His presence known, would have gone over much more in this writing of a wonderful subject on our Lord.

Good luck in the contest and write on.

Sincerely

Hello NickiD89 ,

I am reviewing your story as a judge for "Quotation Inspiration: Official Contest. Thank you so much for entering your story and good luck in the contest.

A wonderful story of what some would call “child abandonment”. I felt the pain; that mother must have gone through having to leave her young child alone, for any amount of time, in order to get the older child off to school in the mornings.

It might have been a wonderful idea if maybe the parents of other children, who also went to the same school with her child, could have volunteered to take her child to school, and maybe a fair exchange could’ve taken place to help each other get their older children off to school and keep an eye on the little one.

When my children were growing up we had like a neighborhood watch – were parents kept an eye on a sleeping child while the other parent drove the children to school or to the bus stop.

From your story, I could see she was embarrassed and ashamed of what she was doing and it was not good thinking to leave her child alone in the house in which a fire or something terrible might happen, but she felt her hands were tied.

Your story certainly drove the point home and I hope she was able to get a lesson in what she did.

Thank you for sharing this story. I enjoyed reading it very much, and hopefully someone will get a lesson from it.

Good luck in the contest.

Sincerely

Hello Oldwarrior ,

I love your story of that tough Platoon Sergeant, who stood up for what he believed was right, and didn’t mind taking the consequences, if it meant he stood up for right. I wonder how many of our Platoon Leaders today can say they stood up to the Top Brass, in the same way you did. I would hope that there are many who can look pride in the eye.

A wonderful and heartfelt story and I wish you much luck in the contest.

Hello 🌕 HuntersMoon ,

I am reviewing your story as a judge for "Quotation Inspiration: Official Contest. Thank you so much for entering your story and good luck in the contest.

I think we've all known a John Wesley, or two in our day. Isn't it sad, how cruel humans can be? I felt that you touched upon the quotation inspiration very well, in showing us the 48 minutes of life on a school bus, and how much harm may have been done to a fellow student by the actions of a few. It makes me wonder how many students, who suddenly turn into killers, have become so; because of these cruel bullies.

The meanness, which took place on the bus everyday, and was carried over into the school grounds, leaving a young man hurt and perhaps angry, possible even today, is appalling. It makes me wish I could reach out and touch him.

I’m happy to see how ashamed it made you feel, even though you chose to steer clear and keep your distance. It takes a lot to admit your part in John's ordeal and how it shamed you so much, that you remember it like it was just yesterday.

Thank you for sharing and also for the footnote concerning your feelings and shame.
Sincerely

This sad story attempt’s to say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder…now matter how she changed the outside, she was not happy with the inside. You made the statement clearly that that if one does not love oneself…they cannot truly love another. Thank you for sharing this view with us.

Good luck in the contest and looking forward to seeing your entries in the fall when we return, wishing you continued growth in your writing.
