Review of Moving Target
Review by macbeth
Rated: E | (4.5)
Into a familiar darkness and the enveloping mantra of a white noise's constant hum a road trip takes us from the past into an apparently uncertain future. For a target in motion the shadow of darkness is, in the journey's situation, just further logistical camouflage. Driving is one way of getting rid of your distractions.

Tossing written words with the pins pulled without proper context like spear chucker or jungle bunny can be inflammatory even when the spoken words are given to inflection, annotation, and endearment. Though many words, in proper combination, that make their sound within you can be explosive, especially when personalized.

Review of Streaming Thought
Review by macbeth
Rated: ASR | (4.0)
A stream of consciousness like water running to the sea when streaming over rocks runs the risk of becoming a babbling brook. In the rush a look at contrasting icons perhaps to be studied further when the fury is no longer in a hurry.

When the story starts at the end and goes full circle the reader begins first to wonder with all the details how you can get to here from there. An abrupt change of direction like a hard right without a seatbelt can put you in a dangerous situation, and make you wonder while looking at the circumstances, what would you do if it happened to you?

Review of Free Falling

You take a "leap of faith" hopefully having done all the necessary calculations beforehand, because at ten meters per second squared, the ground comes up to meet you awfully fast. Like getting a tattoo marks you for life this has the same effect upon a different part of the body.

Review of My Choice
Review by macbeth
Rated: 13+ | (4.0)
It is unlikey that a true racist would take the time to read about spear chuckers or jungle bunnies as much as be incensed about the mixing of the races. Until the words they use stop making their sound within their intended victims they will not relent. For this evil to exist and flourish requires only that good men do nothing.

Review of To my daughter
Review by macbeth
Rated: E | (4.5)
I can't imagine giving up either of my kids those many years ago when I was much younger than I'm now. I can't imagine asking them to forgive me when I know I would never forgive myself. One cannot help but empathizing.

Review of Deadbeat Dad

In reading your rant I have to say i am one of the few who got to keep the kids though i had to spend their inheiritance on lawyers for in the end i was forced to pay her legal bills as well. i to this day have no clear understanding of what transpired those many years ago though the price paid was as great as the cost exacted. As you so clearly note, with my full agreement "The kids are all that mattered", though everyone including them comes away a little battered, regardless.

Review of Missing you
Review by macbeth
Rated: E | (4.0)
In the end it is all about "survival". Memories trying to survive inside the jumble of our minds as they tumble from one synapse to the next before being stored in the archives. The best place to be is in active memory and the only way to stay there for any length of time is to ask questions. In a matter of self preservation they know what they're doing even if it might not be apparent.

Review of You Make Me Feel
Review by macbeth
Rated: E | (4.0)
Like the lyrics to a song "You make me feel like dancing, dancing the night away", this mirrors that conflicted exuberance of optimistic pessimism of one reflecting on the consequence of silence all the time wishing the object of ones affection could read your mind.

Review of Breathing
Review by macbeth
Rated: ASR | (4.0)
When you are occupied by if not more important things at least more urgent ones, of the first priorities air, water and food, air is the first even before thirst. The dichotomy of mind and body is never more evident when the involuntary functions are subject to manual control over the objections of the instinct that always tries to keep its head above water.

To stand in awe of wonder at the entrance to the labyrinth knowing that it is the place to go but at the same time be not certain of the route by which you might return, is to take a leap of faith into the rabbit hole where all things are possible.

You give your daughters roots to grow strong when they are young and wings to fly when they are older. In the midst of all the giving and the growing one day you realize that wings equip them with the ability to not only fly but fly away. While their self reliance was the intended goal success can have a rude if happy ending when they no longer need you, or at least their thinking makes so.

The order in the chaos of humanity is that "the rich get richer" as the gap between them and the poor grows expodentially. In a good detective story the entropy can usually be traced back to its origin by following the money trail. The best way to describe "effect" is by illuminating its "cause".

Review of On Troubled Times
Review by macbeth

Amidst the chaos of love's pathology, entropy has its own order that may upon first glance be unapparent especially to those inexperienced in its initiations. Lucidity brings with it ritual so that one might practice until the motion is done with perfect's ease.

Always like either never or forever is a long time in the sense of the absolute. In our search for a connection, love is relative to the immediate situation and sometimes requires a leap of faith regardless of our doubts or perhaps because of them, despite the fear of consequences.

Certainly a rush of words running in a stream over random rocks has a tendency to babble. Dealing with unrequited love's regret leads down a lonely road as opposed to the song that sings "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with." The truth being that you cannot make someone love you if they don't regardless of best intentions.

Knowledge without the wisdom of its use is a burden to those that would command what path should be followed and a siren's song to those that are dazzled by its flame. A choice fragments into its constituent elements when it is dropped upon a hard surface until making decisions is like drilling water. Made all the more difficult in darkness until you realize that the depth of shadow is determined by the brightness of the fire's light.

The words sing siren songs to all of our unfilled longing but having no yearning of their own are free to do their damage without the hindrance of regret. Seeking only the moment of our surrender the web it uses to entangle us is easily seen when we open our eyes to see our own hunger.

"Regrets, I have a few, but then again to few to" be or not to be consigned to a place where all lost opportunity goes. He who hesitates is lost for both desti-nation and imagi-nation are a long way down a path that is far away from home.

Review of Prisoners

"Stone walls do not a prison make, nor iron bars a cage", but when your eyes are opened and you are able to see the webs in which you are entangled it requires more than a leap of faith to cease your struggles, especiallly when "you've been sentenced to twenty years of boredom for wanting to change the system from within."

A peculiar form of bathroom humour that can, depending on your point of view, be either funny or gross and though not "phobic" cannot say I've ever found myself in a similiar situation. The use of the vernacular while appropriate to the location can be offensive to those not used to the turn of phrase.

Review of One Wish
Review by macbeth
Rated: E | (3.5)
The song playing in the background sings as an alternative, "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with". And I am thinking that the word "seat" should be replaced with the word "sit" to be grammatically correct. Written in the vein of "you always remember your first" regardless of your rationale.
sentimental, "never" like "forever" is a long time and is so absolute.

Laws are but arbitrary rules usually chosen to suit a strategy's agenda to serve a purpose, sometimes a higher one. Though truth is most times a moving target I have found it best to keep those to be sacrificed in its honour appraised of the circumstances surrounding that ultimate decision. When you understand that control is the illusion and see that there is no easy way out, whether you are surrendering to love or fate it still requires a leap of faith to cease your struggles.
The question is of course who would be making the greater sacrifice?
Certainly an interesting dilemma.
