great puzzle! are you filling out job applications too? :D I'm trying to change jobs and I filled out two applications yesterday so these words kind of spiked my stress level. I enjoyed this puzzle regardless of the stress. You had good words and it took a while. Weeowl

I can relate to this poem in the sense that I often don't want to be here. I know what heaven is like...but this goes deeper than that...this is about not feeling comfortable in your own skin. I too relate to that. Everyday is a struggle to get through breakfast lunch and dinner to constantly hear how horrible I look and how much I eat...or this has a jillion calories...it's trapping...Way to write this poem. I gave you 4 star because the texting like way you did the u's and stuff. I don't know if that's something that's coming into style. I may just be an old lady. Never give up on yourself, or your writing. good job! Weeowl

Oh a day at the beach without even leaving my office! Thanks for taking me there with all the things that go along with it especially the dolphins! Some of my best memories are at the beach. Seagulls still unnerve me after watching The Birds but after my last visit, I got better with this fear. Whether it was our many family reunions or our spontaneous trip to the beach one full moon night, the beach is one of my favorite places to be and imagine. Way to go on your beach wordsearch! Weeowl

Review of Abandoned
Rated: E | (5.0)
This is a great poem. There are two things I especially liked about it and that was the metaphor of NOXEMA on a hot face! Wow! I could feel that. Secondly I like the way you jammed the words together to show us how she heard it! And I don't know how I feel about them leaving her alone to mourn. This poem made me feel perhaps what she was feeling...shock, irritation, annoyance, and loneliness. Wonderful job in such a short poem. Weeowl

Fascinating! Of all the legends and stories I've heard about storms that soothe me, I enjoyed this story of how the stars were made. Out of grief. This is interesting to me. As someone going through the grieving process, I recently finished a book called The Little Prince where gazing at the stars meant knowing the little prince was somewhere among the stars tending to his rose with four thorns. Now, I see, grief is what made the stars. And they thought it was gasses that created the stars and constallations! I like your story better. Thanks for sharing! Weeowl

Review of Zion

Excellant job! I was right there in this poem. I saw the battle, the celebration, the conclusion, and the rebuilding! In such few words, you've told a great story. Perhaps history books could use your talents for summaries. I'd much prefer to read your summary ;) Until that day, I leave you with the fact that this work shows your talent. And I have been left feeling uplifted. Thanks! Weeowl

OOH! Spidey! Did you crawl into my mind when I think about the one I'm smitten with? Your poem describes it perfectly. I love the way you work the acrostic! You're very talented. As for me and the one I'm smitten with, the line that talks about how my worries and fears seep away in the embrace is exactly what happens. He is a comfortable sigh. Thanks for writing my experience in such an incredible way! Weeowl

I like this Mari! You have a great concept here. It's simplistic yet a whole day is experienced. I felt that the shoe was definitely worn. I wonder what my shoes would tell me if they talked. My comfortable shoes would have to be my moccasins. On Sundays I dawn them and I feel so happy to be in them. I love sundays. :) Good job! Weeowl

Review of Intense!
Rated: E | (5.0)
Wow! I too am an intense person. I tend to scare a lot of people, but it's okay. I love how this poem starts out during the pause and then goes to the intensity. I could feel it with that entire stanza! I found myself at the beginning taking a sigh. Then at the end taking another sigh! :P I physically responded to this poem! Awesome job :D Weeowl

Review of Release

I needed a moment to wipe my eyes dry before attempting to open up my thoughts about this writing. This is a highly emotional piece that I can identify with. As a human, I identify with loss. Each loss experienced is unique. I could hear the loud sounds as we heard the news. I was moved. I like how you go back and forth between memories of her and how you increase the tension there at the end. And then you let go. I can't brag enough about your writing. Thank you for sharing this. Review of Optimist Ball

Wow! I you really made me feel the stress the character felt :P I remember those days of CYO softball and how I would take the outfield and watch the butterflies go by. Luckily nobody ever hit to me. I was still a part of a team though. I would stress like your character. :) Now I must go breathe :P Thanks for sharing this awesome neurosis of a nervous softball/baseball player :) Weeowl

Wow. This is a different perspective. It took me to the towers, but at a safe distance away. Watching the towers fall...and the firefighters giving their lives so that we may continue on with ours. This is very touching Madison. Thank you for sharing it. Weeowl

Review of Humpback Dreams

Great job! I enjoyed how I felt the dance of the whales and I could see that the character was scuba diving observing this magical moment. I knew the person was scuba diving because the whale passed her and looked at her and then continued to dance. By writing this poem, I got to experience this dance first hand too. I greatly appreciate that! Write on! Weeowl

I'm glad I took this quiz! I love Emily Dickinson! The poem picked for me PROUD...did speak to me. A lot of the poems she writes does. Thanks for the website address, I will be checking that out. Another Emily Dickinson poem I love is "I heard a fly buzz before I died." In a moment of Death, she heard Life. Wow, that's going in my journal tonight! :) In a moment of Death, she heard Life. What a nice poem. I remember spending hours in the hospital with a friend. They thanked me perfusely as I made sure they were safe. Then, it was my turn and they were there for hours on end waiting with me, keeping me company, making sure I was safe. And when they aren't there, I trust God is. Very good poem. Weeowl

I LOVE THIS IDEA!!! You should do it and start a trend! I've already passed my 30th birthday but Hey, why not? :) When I was turning thirty I remember feeling very depressed thinking about all I had not done. Then I decided to make a list of ALL that I HAD done. It made the world of difference. Start the new decade of your life with new kitchen supplies. You deserve it! As a single person, I totally agree with you! :D Weeowl

WOOHOO MINDY! Great job! Your article caught my attention with the title. I was prepared to come back and say "That is ludicrus!" :) But you obviously already knew that. As an anorexic who is eating and trying to change my attitude and obsession about food, it also caught my attention. I am the one who made the choice. I also make the choice not to watch the news or keep up with the Paris Hiltons etc of the world. This article sparked a conversation and thoughts! It is successful! Hope you're doing well and thanks for sharing a bit of your story...it shows your strength! Write on! Weeowl

Review of Trapped
Rated: E | (5.0)
Wow! what an intriguing story. I was into it from the start. Of course I was hoping for a happy ending. But none was given...it's life. sometimes we don't get what we expect. I am able to feel the feeling of being trapped especially with that ending...very powerful writing. Weeowl

Review of Therapy
Rated: 18+ | (4.5)
Wow! This is an intense story. I can almost hear the snarling taking place beneath the skin of the story. It took me to an emotion of fear. The tension was there throughout even though there were non-tense moments on the surface. I admit that I was expecting the entire story to be set in 2nd person POV. I saw it more of a dialogue with a retelling of a story of the previous day that we missed. Well written though! Keep up the good work. Weeowl

Review of Heartbeat
Rated: E | (4.5)
I like this poem. You go to the simplist and most important of things...the heartbeat...life...then you mention what gives you life...what makes your heartbeat...your children. Children are so joyful. Everything is new! Perhaps if we all look through the eyes of our children we will see the gift of life. Thought provoking. Lovely poem. Weeowl

I Stand up with my bic lit, holding it high in the air, clapping with awe and inspiration, I HEAR YOU. Your voice comes through the screen and you read this prose to me and say "I understand you." This is a great piece that should be read aloud and shared to sink in those spaces in the minds with mousetraps to catch happiness and the good while paying too much attention to the distraction at hand. I enjoyed all of it! Weeowl

Review of Vampires feelings
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
I love the idea of a vampire with feelings. I used to do a Live action Role Playing vampire game and my storyteller got my vampire pregnant! Everyone was freaking out and I played pregnant good. I was attracted to this poem by the title. A definite rare thing but I could see how he could get feelings from the blood of the living. Great job. Weeowl
