Review of It's Autumn!
Rated: E | (5.0)
This was a fun word search. Thanks for creating it. I liked Candy Corn especially :) It is something that definitely says "AUTUMN" Then of course there is Halloween. It's one of my favorite holidays. I think it's the fact that I get to dress up and be someone different. Look forward to searching for more of your words ;) Happy Autumn! Weeowl

This is really intense and good, but I'm having confusion about the ending. What the heck happened? Was her boyfriend there the whole time? Did she go to the hospital and come back to the safety of his arms? I understand that she was raped w/o you telling the gory details, which I appreciate, but please, let me know what happened here at the end. What did I miss? I reread it several times and still am stumped. thanks! Weeowl

Hey! This is good! It's important to bring back the basics. It's been a long time since I've even seen the words "Food Pyramid" I must thank you for the refresher course. This was a good wordsearch! I hope to do many more wordsearches by you. Write on! Weeowl

Review of Day Of Fear
Rated: ASR | (5.0)
Wow! This is an intense poem. Just like the Virginia Tech killings. It's amazing how you put yourself in there and wrote about what you saw. You are quite a visionary who knows how to express what you see. You made me feel it. And the hanging end is a great move! What will happen next? Healing? More fear? Resolution? Kudos on your talent! Review of Messenger
Rated: E | N/A (Review only item.)
BRAVO! I couldn't have put the gift of an angel's presence in a better way! It's amazing when it happens. You get to an edge and think you're going over and an angel appears and takes you in its wings and leads you away from that edge. I was a little worried because you said "Overrhymed poem" but it works. I felt the beat of your heart, the flutter of the angel's wings, and the joy this angel brought to you. Think of the rhymes as the footprints of your angel. ;) I'm delighted that you had such a joyful visit in your time of need....and I'm glad you shared! I was doing a wordsearch when I saw your poem on the side. When I submitted my rating, you were gone...so I went to the top and searched this poem! I'm glad I did :) It was well worth the search!

Review of Diner Noise
Rated: E | (5.0)
What a fun wordsearch! When I opened it and saw "MonkeyDish" I chuckled! I love those monkeydishes. You definitely work in the food service industry. In my novel, my main character goes to several restaurants and so I included the sounds one hears within a restaurant...the clanking of ice in the glasses, forks tapping plates as the patron fills it for the perfect bite, talking that sounds like chatters, laughing, coughing, dishes clattering when placed in the busboy's bucket. It definitely makes a difference in writing...it puts you in the place of the character. Great job! Weeowl

Review of School Bands
Rated: E | (5.0)
wow! What a fun wordsearch! I went back in time and thought about the days when I would have a blast listening the school band. My favorite has always been the percussions. I also remember the flute bringing me happiness in church. I'm glad music was on your mind, because now I'm thinking music ;) way to spread the joy! weeowl

Review of For Sidnee...
Rated: E | (5.0)
I love this poem! It's a very nice gift that you can give to your daughter. I think it would've been nice to receive something like that from my parents, but they're not writers. My favorite lines: I loved you from that very first second, with your bushy black hair, and sparkling eyes...you can add the color, but this choice of words shows personality as well as physical characteristics bringing her into the poem :) And it was touching when you said, "I feel like I've failed you..." this apology is priceless. Great job...both as a father and a writer! Weeowl

Review of Reborn

BRAVO! I was just thinking about this very thing...about the birth of music and how it moves our lives. and I LOVE the violin! it's so soothing to me. The drums are my heartbeat. If you think about it, we are all instruments :) for different things, for different people. Way to join music and writing! Look forward to reading more from you! Weeowl

Review of pain
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
This is a good poem you've created here. I feel it could go on longer...I was hoping for a resolution or your opinion on this matter...like suicide does, it raises a lot of unanswered questions. Perhaps that is what you were going for. As a person with severe depression, I've been where your character is...luckily I have awesome friends who've saved my life on a number of occassions. Without them I probably wouldn't be here. I related to this poem. Write on! Weeowl

Great poll! I thought about it. First, my life is mostly in one country but I wish it were different. Then I think about all the friends I've made abroad because of the Internet. I've helped people all over the country. I had a soul mate in South Africa who unfortuneately passed away. Now I have a "Lil Sis" in London because of writing.com! :) Yes, in my case, other countries seem right next door. It was exciting to receive snail mail from london! and now, I'm preparing to send snail mail to london! ;) We talk of many adventures in many countries :D as you can see, this poll has raised my spirits! Thank you! ;) Weeowl

Review of Who was Jesus?
Rated: E | (5.0)
Jesus was all or most of the above, but to me, Jesus was the best healer in the world! When I think about all the stories about what he did, I'm astounded. The one that gets me is creating an ear out of dirt. I couldn't do that (at least not yet!). This is a great poll because the topic is interesting. It's something that gets people thinking and talking :) Great job! Weeowl

At first I had my defenses up due to the tagline, but as I read it, my defenses came down. You raise many valid points here and the goal is the same for everyone...peace. We do struggle and make decision based on our beliefs. We put so much pressure on ourselves. I think about so much right now...I'm sorry, lost in my own world here. I like your poem!

Good job! I like the end that says "I need you for something, I just don't know for what." It took me a second to absorb the lines but when I did, I liked them. I am an overthinker as well. It may be a problem with most creative writers and types. I live this poem too ;)

Wow! So many things were coming up for me as I read your words. At first, I thought the He was God. Then I realized it was a love...your words helped me bring it back to the physical sense. I thought of my own lover. Then I saw the ocean at the line "We can crash into eachother/ and fall back into ourselves." Those are my favorite lines btw! They're very powerful. It sounded like the ocean how you go far out and the waves bring you back. Thank you for the images you provided with your words. This is a powerful poem! Weeowl

Review of Dear Friend,
Rated: E | (4.5)
Wow! Way to give voice to Addiction! I saw a few spelling errors which is why it wasn't a five star. Now Brake may work as a play on putting the brakes on life. I'll use you, bruise you, and YOU'LL never make a fuss. Your Story, Your friend, your LIFE is also another change.
I love the line about putting the friend in a fog, and my favorite line(s) has to be "I'm forever grateful for your service and praise/ Your eyes filmed over with a dark black haze" That is a very powerful image! Well done! Very powerful. Sincerely, Weeowl

Review of A life well lived
Rated: E | (5.0)
My words at this moment are replaced by goosebumps. In this flash fiction you captured the joy and the pain that is life. I think the part I connected to the most was when the beep went eeeee and they thought they'd been all cried out...but they weren't. Grief is like that. Here I am 10 years after burying my Granny (our family rock) and 2 and a half years after burying a wonderfully terrific love, and I still cry for them. I cry for my loss. This is very touching. aCK! Talk about invoking the emotion of a TOTAL FREAKOUT! I love it when poets take a turn and instead of a happy ending, leaves you going "What the!" :) You're edgy and this poem proves it. What if I woke up and didn't know anything. *shivers* Great idea and way to capture that emotion! Keep writing! Weeowl

Review of Captive Darkness
Rated: E | (4.5)
This is a good poem that I can relate to. I kinda wanted to know HOW you broke free. I feel the weight of hands upon me. I lose my breath and wonder...hmmm looks like this poem inspired me. I felt the sincerity behind the poem and the confusion of being in the comfort of depression and the fear of stepping in the sun. All it takes is one step. Good job! Weeowl

Review of Writer's Block
Rated: 18+ | (5.0)
I had fun doing this crossword! I could relate to all the things that you put down as distractions to writing. I like the clue about the 4 sided thing that is usually made of wood and writers usually get it. :) block! The clues were great, the puzzle was moderately easy (and that's a compliment coming from someone who had a difficult time with crosswords) I had fun and felt great when I got one right! :D Thanks for boosting my confidence. Write on! Weeowl

Review of Speedy & Molasses
Rated: E | (5.0)
I loved this story! I love the idea about writing for children for two reasons. First as adults writing for children we get to go back to a time when playing was a top priority so we renew ourself. Secondly, it's nice that we can impart our wisdom upon children in such creative ways. I commend you for writing for children. And I enjoyed reading your work. Whenever the opportunity presents itself, I read to my niece and nephew as often as I can! :) Great job and keep up the good work! Weeowl

Wow! You really have a grasp on what it's like for us. As I read about the cutting I thought about why I did it...to bleed the pain out. the cut and the blood was also my voice that said "Help me, I'm hurting." The suicidal thoughts back in middle and high school were really hard to deal with. I got addicted to Benedryl and it was a good thing I did b/c I attempted suicide w/ benedryl and the 9 pills didn't kill me. I couldn't move very well. I had to crawl...and the remote control felt like it weighed a ton. I wanted to be saved. It's weird how I saved myself with the help from above. At age 18 I made a promise to myself that I would never cut again. I'm happy to say that I've maintained that promise for 14 years now. :) and I've been through a lot...especially in my twenties...and I've only recently had my suspicions about being sexually abused as a child confirmed. The memories are still waiting to come back...but I know they will when it's time. Right now my plate is full w/ grief, and a change of life. But this article was fabulous...it's nice to know that there are others out there who understand exactly what's going on. Kudos! Weeowl

Review of Two Short Poems
Rated: E | (5.0)
In brevity your messages said so much so clearly! The first poem is reminding me to appreciate the person in the present, in the moment. We're not the same people we were yesterday...we are biologically different each day...cells die and new ones come...the air we intake is different each day. The second poem I LOVE! The message I got from this is if you really know my heart and soul (or yours whatever the case may be) if you just took that moment to lock into who I am then that will be enough that you won't be ripped open. You are a wonderful poet! Thank you for sharing. Weeowl

Review of Positive Thinking

Woohoo! I feel positive now. I love the entire list, but my favorite is FEARLESS. Just yesterday I was fearless and met amazing people. Had I not gone for it, I would have missed an incredible dinner, deliscious cake, and the company of new friends. Thanks for the boost! Weeowl

Review of Harry potter
Rated: E | (5.0)
*claps hands in utter excitement* I LOVE HARRY POTTER! :D My friend recently got me HOOKED! Each night I go into that magical world and hang with my friends and deal with Malfoy and the professors and all the grandiose evildoers that Harry has to face! In a world of muggles *grin* escaping with Harry Potter is a truly enjoyable trip! After each time I finish a book, my friend and I get together and watch the movies and I get the next in the series. :D ONe of the benefits to reading it when they are all out...I don't have to wait a year or two :D It's a truly great bonding experience with my best friend too. Thanks for this puzzle! :D Weeowl
