Prompt: What was the last expensive thing you bought for yourself and what was the reason?

I bought a big dark blue stone ring with diamonds and it is expensive. Why did I buy it? It was beautiful. I am having knee replacement surfacing next week and my Wedding Anniversary is the end of the next month. I decided I needed something special. Pity gift. Maybe Guilty pleasure. I worked in mental health and nursing. It was hard for me. I love rings. I enjoy diamonds but rings of color have more beauty. I don't go out much or buy anything. I didn't even go to the Beach this year and I hope to go. yet but I don't know. Anyway, I feel I deserve a nice gift. I bought me a gorgeous ring.
