The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), gives residents of the state of California the right to prevent businesses from selling their personal information.
Writing.Com takes your privacy very seriously and treats all members with the same level of privacy. We do not sell any personal information, nor have we in the past. If you have an account, regardless of your physical location, your account is already set to opt-out of any future sale of personal information. There is nothing more you need to do.
However, California requires we provide a way for members and non-members alike to provide us with your personal information, even if we don't already have it, so that if we acquire it within the next 12 months, you can indicate that it should not be sold.
