Love is like candy
Nothing is more dandy.
One tingles my taste buds
The other soothes my senses.

Chocolate is full of lure
Makes me greedy for sure.
Love’s fragrance in the air
Its one breath augurs fair.

I can do without candy my dear
Love alas, is my life-support I fear.
Candy is sweet enough for the moment
Love’s sweetness lasts beyond comment.

Too much candy harms my gums
By overflowing love my heart hums.
For an eternity I can feed on love
Can’t do that on candy by Jove.
