Shades of Joy

Blades of grass
Clad in clean green
Wave vivacious as I pass
By the tall trees in a radiant sheen.

The sky is aglow
In splendid shades of joy.
The cool creek flows
Serenely on to the river to alloy.

Deep in my heart
Stirs a longing to be
An inseparable part
Of the awesome vista I see.

Nature is the closest of
Friends I can find
Here, there or above
Inspires the best in me to come alive.
