Prompt: Let's talk about respect. Do you think respect should be earned or given until it proves to be unworthy?

I want to know a person first and see what their values are before I respect them. Some people who are good and caring, get my respect immediately. Like the CEO of my company, he is greedy, money hungry, uncaring and ignores the employees and patients who keep his butt wealthy. No respect for him. Sad, really. I want to like and love everyone. I try. I go with Aretha Franklin's song: "Respect." This is a formula for respect.
