Day 2, Mount Washburn, Buddy Up

We are gone hiking on Mount Washburn trail today. What is it noted for? What are we eating today? Lyn reminded us to find buddies and don't wander off by ourselves. We need to help with chores as well.

No, I wouldn't drink water from the stream or lake. I am weary of this. There may be animal droppings in the water or humans may have used it for a bathroom. I know animals drink from here but they have better immune systems then we did. I will be using bottle water to drink and clean my supplies.

Mount Washburn was named for Henry Washburn. It is a beautiful sight. You are so high up. I felt like I was Queen of the world but I was afraid to stand too close to the edge. Cheddah and I stayed together. I gave Witchy Yule Woman a hug as I went by. alittletoolate and I fried fish that I caught. It was a slimy job but I managed. A worm tried to eat my finger. I didn't imagine it. A fish got him. The hike was nice and I didn't get lost. I saw a squirrel and he ate a cookie out of my hand. I am bad. I bought some cookies from home but I promise to rough it for now on. No more goodies. I had my buddy with me. Good news! My friend ~Minja~ is joining us. I pitched a tent for her next to mine. We are Jane Austen fans and she worked for a cruise ship so we will have plenty to talk about. So far, I am a happy camper.
