Know Thyself

Prompt: Since "know thyself" is a highly over rated piece of wisdom which, at times proves to be impossible, what do you think of these biography writers who claim to have the insight into someone else's psyche? Shouldn't that biography book be considered a form of fiction?

Yes. If a author writes a person's biography, he should have lived with that person for awhile and get to know him or her. Just write the facts and write from the interview with that person. Autobiographies are true stories, not fiction. Does the person whose story is being told see the manuscript before it goes to press and approve it? There are unauthorized autobiographies and I guess the author writes what they want. This is something to think about.
