Prompt: "You don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort."

You don't want to go making friends with the
wrong sort. We have all heard that from our
mothers and caring people. Did I listen? I
made friends with the wrong sort. Bad choices.

I had so called friends steal from me. They
lied. One told me I need to learn how to put
on make up. Wrong thing to say to me. I was
in Beauty Pageants. A beautician taught me how.

I did things I shouldn't have. I look back.
Who was that girl? I will never misbehave like
that again. You live and learn. If only I would
have chosen better friends. They were the wrong sort.

I am older now. I have a nice home and good husband.
I don't make friends with the wrong sort anymore.
I am glad. I just want to retire and write all the
time. Glad I make friends with the right sort now.
