The Sunflower

The Sunflower

The happy little sunflower grows up toward the sky
The petals stretching far and wide, bright and yellow
She is beautiful. Many more mornings my magnificent
Mighty sunflower towers over all the rest of the flowers in
The entire garden. It grows strong, sturdy and steadily it
Opens itself to the sun. Its mighty center drinking in nature’s
Rain, running through its timber stalks so sweet. The large
Sunflowers are beautiful in the garden outside, while the small
Sunflowers or Black-eyed Susans are perfect for arrangements.
Nice for funerals, for weddings and whatever. They are the
Madam flowers, married to the sun.
