What time is it? Hero Time!

[Introduction]
For anyone who loves Adventure Time, have I got the story for you: Hero Time!

Jake Winstrom, your average 12-year-old boy, ends up on an island with no memory of how he got there. With the help of some new friends: a stocky 17-year-old bear named Bruce (who declares himself a ladies' man), a 6-year-old bat named Katy (who looks up to Jake as a brother), an Abraham van Helsing-like rabbit named Gina, Princess Juliana, daughter of King Lionmane (who is a lion, despite her being a human), her two younger brothers: the constantly hungry Flufftail and the adventurous Stripetail, a cat-like creature called a Mayhem (which Jake names Speckles), and a 3,000-year-old vampire named Sabrina (who grew up in the jungle), Jake must learn to adapt to the island's surroundings and serve as part of the island's Sheriff's Department (consisting of him, Gina, Katy, and Bruce with Speckles as the mascot) if he is to get home.

For anyone who wishes to join this campfire, please let me know. If you create your own character, you can base them off of yourself if you want.
Adventure 1: Welcome to Adventure Island

Jake Winstrom was just your average 12-year-old boy. He didn't know how he ended up on Adventure Island, but here he was, on the beach.

He laid there until he regained consciousness. He had been dragged across the sand by a strange figure. His savior stopped and Jake saw who had saved him: a bear who looked about 17. He wore an open vest, showing he was kind of stocky, a pair of black denim jeans, and laced-up boots. His chin was covered in hair and his abdomen was, too. He had his hair slicked.

"Hello," he said. "You took quite a fall on that beach."

"Gee, thanks," Jake said. "Where am I anyway?"
"That's a good question," the bear said. "Where are you from?"
Jake tried to think of an answer, but he honestly couldn't remember where he came from! "I...don't really know. I can't seem to remember anything except my name!"
"That's okay," the bear replied. "My name's Bruce."

"Uh, I'm Jake," Jake said.

Bruce helped Jake to his feet and walked him down the beach.

"You know, it's very difficult to understand," he said. "You've just washed ashore on Adventure Island."

"Adventure Island?" Jake asked.

"It's a big island," Bruce said. "There are various cities, towns, and villages everywhere. One carved out of steep and rocky mountains, one surrounded by forests, one multi-tiered with elevators, one consisting of treehouses connected by rope bridges in the treetop, and the list goes on."

"Wow," Jake said. "These cities, towns, and villages on this island are very unique in their own way!"

"I can show you around," Bruce said. "Let's go to my van. Mi casa es su casa!"
"You got a van?" Jake asked.
