A poem written quietly... |
| UP, UP AND AWAY! We mustn't speak when silence is best. Words shouldn't be forced when mind is at rest. Somberly quiet --- no laughing or jest! It's only a test. It's only a test... Words easily come when we've something to say... The pen flows freely, hard work becomes play. Like a hot air balloon floats up, up and away, I've something to say! I've something to say! ------------------------- My first attempt at the Monotetra style, developed by Michael Walker. Each stanza contains four lines in monorhyme. Each line should be in tetrameter (four metrical feet), a total of eight syllables. My syllable count varies in each line and stanza (1st: 9,10,10,10; 2nd: 11,10,12,10) The last line contains two metrical feet, repeated. |
