True story of how a revered woman was celebrated and sent home with love |
They sang you home when you died They sang you home when you died. Your remaining children, hand in hand, so proud you were finally going to meet your Jesus, and see your son again. A more fitting death could not be imagined. Your body a mere chalice. Your soul, with notes of their song, floated to the heavens, as those you loved sang you home. Dedicated to Gladys Beatrice Pullen Oden who lived a life of faith and was anxious to meet her Lord after 99 years on this Earth She truly earned her right to be sent Home. I also dedicate this to her seven remaining children who "celebrated her home" and to my grandfather who welcomed her when she arrived. |
