A letter to a loved one

Nowhere

I’m not going anywhere.
I will wait for you to learn
not to flinch from my touch,
not to see malice in my actions,
or conspiracy in my words.

I'll wait past your fears.
Love you through the moments
when pushing me away
is your mind’s way
of saving you.

I'll wake up beside you
even when you go to bed alone,
your heart having built a wall
even God will have trouble penetrating.
My love, I am going
