Nursing mothers are so blessed |
BREASTS Each of my breasts were a glorious orb That contained life-giving drink For infants to suckle and eagerly absorb Into slumber they would slowly sink The simple bliss of a full little tummy They grinned a sweet, milky smile Hearing lullabies from their mummy We bonded quietly for a little while How very precious to have known I was so much needed and adored The years flew and they have grown Aided from milk God and nature poured I am older and my breasts are also But they have comfort yet to share My grandchildren use them as pillows And tend to find much comfort there How lucky is the natural woman With tiny nursing infants blessed Her babies will become woman or man Aided by her once nurturing breast Luke 11:27- As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” 1 Corinthians 3:21-I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. |
