A poem about our family celebrating the life of my grandfather. |
| Goodbye Grandpa Aroma of deep fryer oil and Mexican food. Heat of day Fading. Goosebumps over Tanned arms. Contagious laughter, no Holding it in. Goofy giggles Bubbled, Filling the air wth Music. Joyous chatter adding to the Euphony. Taste of salty Tortilla chips Rested on Chapped lips. Teased a 7-foot tall Will, who was being Decapitated in photographs. Could almost hear Grandpa laughing with us. His Deep, lovely laugh. He was, after all, the Reason we were all there. |
