I Am

A poem about myself.

I Am

I am kind and sweet.
I wonder if I am on the way to success.
I hear people teaching me every day.
I see myself growing into an intelligent man.
I want to be in Heaven when I die.

I pretend to be somebody I’m not.
I feel good about myself.
I touch God and His creation with my imagination.
I worry that I’m not doing what God has planned for me.
I cry when I don’t do what’s right.
I am kind and sweet.

I understand God died to wash away my sins.
I say I am doing what’s right.
I dream to be a part of God.
I try to make an effort to be good.
I hope that I am on the right path to success.
I am kind and sweet.
