In Glory Days

Reminiscing about glory days.

In glory day it was the case
that steadiness was more in place,
and days uplifted me with light—
I will admit to better sight
as I maintained a steady pace.

A brighter glow was on my face
and there appeared less empty space
as true fulfillment beamed so bright
in glory days.

As I look back I long to race—
to those old days I could give chase
and yet they’re merely dreams at night,
perhaps a moment of delight,
but now I’d simply be off base
in glory days.
