First time cooking. |
| A hunk a butter works well for my first time cooking… Mama wrote the directions on this index card, I lean it on the bread box, easy reference. Stainless steel pot, two cups of water (check that—leave a little room for some milk…) heat to boil, but first add a hunk a butter; pour in the Lipton noodle mix and stir like crazy, and TURN DOWN THE HEAT cause if’n you don’t then all Hades boils over on the stove. (Cleaning around those burners a pain…) Open a can of peas, the little tabs makes it so easy—I nuke em. Stir those noodles a-boilin’ ‘cause if not then they stick to the bottom of the pan. Not so hard…I like the Pillsbury dough rolls, just whack the cylinder on the side of the sink and wall-ah! It pops open and white dough a-burstin’! Into the oven they go…but wait, what was it Mama said about pre-heating? Check the card—oh yeah, I see the number. 40 Lines Writer’s Cramp 2-8-20 |
