May I be.
Sad
Do I seem.
Truth,
Dare I scream.
Words,
Blunt instruments.
Certainty,
Eluded brutality.
Away
Will I go.
Forever
Will I leave.
Nowhere
Will I be.
No one
Will I see.
Again,
Shall I be.
Alone,
By myself.
Searching,
Peace.
There is
None
To be had.
Understanding
The game.
Playing
This charade.
Knowing
That I will be
Without
As all I know,
As all I've seen.
This life,
But a dream.
Nightmare,
Thus reality.
Indeed,
I will fight.
I may scream.
Words,
Said weapons.
Hurt
Only me.
Alone,
This world.
These ideas
Are indeed
No one.
Not another
Feels,
Bothers
As I do,
As I seem.
I’d like to think
That may be,
But I fear
Indeed it is not,
Nor could it
Ever be.
Alone,
I am.
By myself,
I am not.
There are others,
Plenty more.
So it seems,
So it be,
So it has been...
