Time. It expands, contracts. Never static. Consider the beginnings of summer stretching out to infinity, or the sixth hour of labour when each tightening lasts forever. Consider the days awaiting Christmas when each day feels like a week, or the diagnosis giving you a finite number of days to live. It drags interminably, or flies swift as an arrow at a target. Perception coloring speed: except that time-- never stays within the lines. |
