The Mission of Our Lives

Dedicated to my 10th MTN Soldier and all those fighting in the war against terrorism.

We are the children...
Our innocent eyes filled with tears
Our little hands reaching out for love
We've fallen off the edge of freedom
Rescue us, we cannot save ourselves

Your view is from up above
The sky so blue and friendly
The rock your steady ground
Do you notice us? We are individuals

We are the future but we can barely breathe
You tell us to dream, but how?
We do not know what a star is
All we know is what we feel,
hurt and pain so near

Two worlds must come together
One spared life requires one to sacrifice
Unselfish hearts complete the mission
Rewards go to the stranger

To all the 10th MTN heroes
You are the shadows unforgotten
You brought us life and hope
When we thought we were forgotten

We are the children all grown up now
You protected our schools so we could learn
Now we want to say "THANK YOU"
We're experiencing freedom for the first time
BECAUSE OF YOU, our lives are changed forever!
